This place is horrible. My wife drove all the way from nashville to donate her rare blood type. She arrived at 2:50 for her 2:45 appointment due to traffic and they told her they were closed and too bad. WOW! There is a critical need for blood in this country and they treat donors like this. Never donating here ever again.

*BEWARE* You may be scheduled on a standby basis without notice or disclosure. I booked a platelet donation appointment over a week out. Keep in mind this is a 2.5 hour commitment. I was texted every day with appointment reminders & asked to confirm my appointment by email a few days prior. I showed up at 7:30 AM on a Saturday for a 7:45 appointment only to be told I didn't actually have an appointment, I'd been booked on a standby basis only. I was asked to take a seat & wait to see if all the 7:30 appointments showed up. I was already there so decided to give it a few minutes. One person was 15 minutes late, which caused me to have to sit around only to be sent home. The lady at the front desk confirmed the app does not disclose when you're being booked on a standby basis. Nor do the requests you receive to confirm your appointment, which isn't actually an appointment at all. When I asked why no one could call me to inform me I was booked only as a standby, she said they aren't allowed to call me before 8 AM. You can't tell me there wasn't a single opportunity during regular business hours to call me in the week between the time I scheduled the appointment initially & showing up at 7:30 AM on a Saturday. And on the miniscule change there wasn't, I would MUCH rather be inconvenienced by a phone call at 7:00 AM (remember, I booked a donation slot, so I'm already up!) than by driving all the way across town only to be asked to sit on my hands & then be sent home. I'm beyond floored at the level of disrespect for my time this process demonstrates. I completely understand the Red Cross's wanting to pad the lineup. However, their desire to make sure every 7:30 AM slot gets filled just turned me off to ever coming back & donating again.

First time donating blood at this facility. Mya was so sweet & kind. I would recommend, no, implore you to donate blood. It truly is the gift of life. The facility is clean with easy access.

My first experience donating platelets. Made an apt. Online, quick and friendly staff. You cannot move either arm for 2 hours so they hook you up with a Netflix movie. One donation may help 2 cancer patients.

Only because you can't give less! I've donated with the Red Cross for about 20 years now they have no record of it. I've had 2 appts cancelled in last 6 months for blood drives but constantly get emails, text and calls for donations. I received calls and emails just this weekend and they have no drives for weeks to come. You try to reach someone and no one local answers only nationally. I also use to be on their disaster teams. But to say the least this organization is gone to hell. I'm discussed

The platelet and blood donation nursing staff is outstanding and Angela, the donation coordinator, is the best when reminding me of appointments and going above and beyond to help me reschedule my appointment when I have to cancel at the last minute.
