The items they have in the store are great and up to date on current trends. This is why I chose to come to City Gear to purchase back to school clothes for my nephew. The store is clean and well organized. The problem is the employees who work in the store. When we entered the store, there was not an employee in site. We were the only customers in the store. After about 5 minutes of browsing at items in the store, I here someone say "if you need anything, let me know". As I looked around to see who said that , there was a lady with her head down on her phone sitting on a bench. She never once brought her head up to even look at us. Eventually a gentleman came out from the back of the store not once acknowledging we were even in the store. We asked for a pair of shoes in my nephew size and it took 30 minutes to find that 1 pair. It took the girl 28 minutes to look and the gentleman 2 minutes to find the shoes. The employees do not have customer service skills or at least did not care while we were in there. There were other customers getting mad about having to wait and just walking out saying they will go buy their items somewhere else. Checking out was slow and just almost rude like. I will not be shopping in that store again. This was not the first time going in this store and having a bad customer service experience, it is just my last and finally time I will try and be understanding.
It's just obvious that City Gear management located on Rutherford blvd. in Murfreesboro tn just does not care about the customer service side of retail.

I really do like the store most times I don't have any issues but on release day if I have to be in here by 12:00 to pick up my shoes then they should be open at 8:00 so I can get it before 12:00 you can't hold people to a certain standard and then not hold up your end of the deal I've been waiting since 9:00 a.m. and they're not going to open till 10:00 so I wasted an hour of my day because they didn't hold up their end of the deal I had to come back in and update it they still weren't open at 10:00 a.m. either so that means I'm going to lose my raffle because I've got things to do besides waiting at the shoe store for people to not be on time

Everytime I have gone into the store no one has spoken. Too busy on the phone. I stayed in there for 25 minutes no one spoke. I went out the door and no one said goodbye. It's expensive also.

Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable sales people. I was looking for a specific shoe for a gift. I called first and they were able to set it back for me to pick up that same day. I highly recommend this Murfreesboro TN shoe store!

Ordered a pair if shoes on Thursday. 1-2 day delivery, was supposed to delivery on that Saturday per email notification. As of the following Wednesday they still had not delivered and no one could give an update on my order for when they would even deliver.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD!On May 13,2023 the Jordan 4 Retro “Thunder” dropped. I am a FREQUENT raffle winner. I WEAR all my shoes.I drove 45 minutes to reach this City Gear location and got my 9mo old out of the house to go pick up my win and I say I burned 4-5 Gallons of 93 Octane gasoline. I get there before the 12:00pm “cut off” (after 12:00 winners are randomly selected if you don't pick up). I get to the front of the line (by then its 12:00 EXACTLY after I have stood in line waiting for the other customers to finish.I show the cashier my raffle win and go to get my ID and she says “we don't have then” then proceeded to literally look at the floor and act like shes looking and says “nah we don't have em”. ONLY TWO SIZE 11.5’s were shipped to this location and ONE WAS MINE. Long story short the 3 women that were working that day sold my shoes WAY before 12:00 according to another customer who was with her two daughters. After speaking with a nearby Shoe Store owner. This City Gear is NOTORIOUS for BACKDOORING (sounds like what it is taking shoes that were won and gaining their own dollar usually selling out of the back door) YOUR SNEAKERS FOR THEIR OWN GAIN.Later that day I called Corporate and they transferred me to the DM who proceeded to tell me “they don't sell to resellers” which was never even mentioned so she pulled that out of her a$$.?There’s honestly no telling how much money they have profited from others raffle wins the DM seemed to take care of her workers as of they did NOTHING WRONG but, didn't want to give me a resolution after I sat on the phone OVER AN HOUR trying to get someone.If you win here show up at 10am when they open so they don’t even have the chance to screw you.
