Original scam artisists. Look into their also long repossession records and lawsuits. Instacart charges multiply for an order. Because they did that it caused me to have four overdraft fees. They refused to let me upload the evidence and refused to review it. This is the worst bank I have ever seen. Do not open any accounts with them.

I used the mobile app to deposit a paper payroll check from a large corporation drawn through Bank of America. The check was deposited on Feb 17th with availability on Feb 21st. I wasn't concerned with the initial delay because of the holiday but today the funds are still not available. I called the 800# and was advised that the funds would not be available until Feb 28th. I visited the branch - manager was excellent but "hands were tied" due to this being a corporate decision. Very troubling practice with no justification.

I would not suggest this bank. There are too many banks online or up/down the road to do business with this company or branch. Save yourself time, money, and headaches...go elsewhere. Your future self will thank you.

The only reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because of BEN OSTERGRANT!!! He completely changed our mind on fifth third banking yesterday with his kindness and going above and beyond for us, he was the most helpful person my boyfriend and I have had in a really long time. If I had to choose a bank teller to help me with anything it would be Ben Ostergrant!!!

They sent me a letter saying to come in to the branch and open an account. The wannabe Karen at the teller counter says she can set an appointment for me in 2 days. I ask if she can help me because she has no other customers. She says she has an appointment in 10 mins so I said great lets knock this out in less than 10. She said I can't do that. On the way out I asked a lady at a desk with no customers if she could help and she said yes. The wannabe Karen at the teller desk took over again and told the lady in the office not to do it because they are booking appointments for 2 days out. Who thinks any of this is a good idea? Wild...

I started with Fifth Third on Rutherford Blvd. and then I went to the Old Fort Parkway branch. After about a week I went to see Jennifer who I had talked with by phone. When I walked in there was one bank officer at a desk and 4 or 5 offices that were empty. There were three people waiting for Jennifer. After waiting about 30 minutes I left. I talked with a financial advisor at 53 and l called him back and left word for him to return my call. He did not return my call that day. I called the customer service 800 number and I was told to enter my SSN and my 4 digit PIN. I did this and I received a message that my account was blocked because of invalid answers. What I entered was correct and this was the second time that happened. I moved most of my funds from 53 yesterday. This is the most disorganized bank that I have ever dealt with and I am 74.

This is the absolute worst bank in the world. The customer service is beyond awful. Hands down, it is the most sneaky, suspicious, and underhanded business I've ever had to deal with. I wouldn't bank with them another day if they paid me!

I’ve been a customer of Fifth Third Bank since 2010. I’ve used many of their banking products and features over that time period to include their Money Market Account, Essential Checking, auto loan services, Early Access, and My Advance.Fifth Third Bank has really never been a people friendly bank. They’ve settled several lawsuits for things like predatory lending with their Early Access feature ( they really put the screws to people with that one) and they’ve settled a case that involved their ATM fees which included charging for balance inquiries. Until a few days ago I didn’t even realize these suits were ongoing until seeing them online. I may be an unknowing member…who knows?It seems that Fifth Third Bank hasn’t learned a whole lot considering they’re charging up to $25 maintenance for checking. They will even without warning disabling features like My Advance.IMO if you’re not wealthy or simply want more features with banking like free checking and the ability to get an advance on a payday direct deposit Fifth Third Bank is a very poor option. Don’t walk away from Fifth Third Bank…run! There are too many better checking and banking options available!

This has nothing to do with the people working at this location. They are super friendly and help you to the best of their abilities.The one star review is for the company themselves. Don't walk... RUN!! I have worked with a few banks in the past because I have moved a few times and I needed a bank that was convenient to my home.They are insanely difficult to work with. I moved to a location that doesn't have a bank or ATM within 2 1/2 hrs of me so of course I needed to find a bank that worked better with my location. Closing my account took 3 months!!! And the amount of fees this bank charges is astronomical. Learn from me, don't open an account with them.

Never had problem at the branch but I moved money between accounts in the app and half of it just vanished. The transaction cleared and removed money from my checking account but the account I transferred to only received half the money. I talked to customer support and they said it was a known issue that their IT has been working on and they had no idea when I'd get my money. So, the app just disappeared my money and 5/3 shrugged at me. Great experience there.
