On their website they advertise that the cost of their services are upfront and no surprises. That is a lie! We went in today to have our taxes done and were charged $400 after she did our taxes! Not once did she mention how much they would cost to us until she was done. On their website it claims that their prices start at $99… who would think that my family of 3 would cost that much! Never in my life have I paid $400 to have someone do my taxes. I will never return to h and r block. They need to be up front with their costs like advertised! Lesson learned, I’ll pay a private tax preparer before I ever pay them $400 again! They are robbing people!

Incompetent..been useing this service to do my taxes for several years because I want a secured system to make sure the irs recieved my return..every other year I have gotten a refund however this year I had a very small amount I owed the irs...I wanted to pay with my credit card but my tax professional..if you want to call them that..said I needed to send the money thru the mail..first time I had to pay in so I just thought if you owed that's just the way it was which didn't make sense in this day and age..asked some of my friends that have had to pay and was told yes you can pay with you're credit card...WHAT DID I JUST GIVE YOU OVER A HUNDRED DOLLARS TO FILE MY TAXES FOR!..if you have Incompetent people called tax professionals that can't even pay the irs through electronic means where I have a record of the payment and tell me I have to use a envelope that could get lost in the mail what am I giving you money for..no peace of mind here...Incompetent Incompetent Incompetent..never use this branch again!Incompetent!

I had an appointment today, but got absolutely nothing accomplished. I tried to explain what I needed help with and I'm not sure she understood what I was saying. She just kept telling me I could do it myself. I came home, got on irs.gov and it turns out I legally can't do it myself. I'm even more confused than I already was. 2 stars bc she was nice and polite.

This was my first time filling my taxes. I heard of them through a family member and gave H&R Block a chance to file my taxes. I was in there for about an hour and the process was not as hard or scary as I expected it would be, I am just glad that I got my taxes done and can relax, until next year.
