The staff and owners are wonderful people. They put their heart and soul into this daycare. They are constantly doing little events for the families. I highly recommend.

I will start by saying, that not all is bad.. but a lot has changed since the previous director left. The way the "new director," or whatever she's supposed to be doesn't seem to know how to speak to people. Comes off very arrogant and rude. The newer teachers seemed to be inexperienced with children. One of them was great with my son, but the teachers he had when he was in Step 2 were phenomenal.. I'm sure they don't even work there anymore. My youngest child had the greatest and most sweetest teachers. As said before, not all is bad..But a lot have some odd changes. The facility should make things more welcoming, and some staff should understand that they are working with children. It takes patience, and understanding that kids are going to do kid things. Some of these teachers are failing to make connections with the children as well.. Let alone actually watch the children.

Absolutely love this daycare and the teachers there! They have a door code that they change every 6 months, but if needed they will change it more often. (They go over everything with you when you do your tour and make sure you know everything there is to know about the place and answer any questions and concerns you have!)I am greeted by one of the office staff or the owner every morning when I get there, whether they be in the office or walking around interacting with every classroom, teacher and child in the building. The office staff or teacher have never made me feel uncomfortable going and voicing any concerns I have and always going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and safe there.I absolutely love getting to communicate through their app and see what my daughter is doing throughout the day and seeing all the fun stuff they get to do posted on Facebook.I will say it takes a special person to be able to work in a daycare as a teacher, trying to keep so many kids entertained and engaged in learning. I know it can’t be easy and appreciate how far my child’s teacher goes to make sure she has structure and is learning while also getting to have fun and be a child. I’m very confident by the time it is time for us to leave and go to Kindergarten my daughter will be more than ready! I also know she is going to miss all the yummy food everyday! They are all about homemade meals and I absolutely love that, specially since most daycares now don’t even offer anything but snack!I would recommend this daycare over and over again to anyone! Thank you so much stepping stone for everything you have done for me and my family and making us feel like family to you!

If your looking for a low grade daycare that’s still gonna cost you , look no further. If I could give this place 0 or negative stars I would. My child has attended this school for over a year now, her first few months could not have been better. The teacher she had in step two plus was absolutely a god sent, that woman was amazing. I received news that she would be moving to step 3 and I was nervous that she wouldn’t be in the same woman’s care but I had to give them a chance so she moved to step 3, while in step three we had a few issues nothing bad until my child kept coming home in the pull-up she had arrived in that morning to see it was FULL of urine and had not been changed all day , the teacher assumed me she had just gone to the restroom in it so I started marking them with sharpies she continued to lie to me. The director at the time was AMAZING! I also went to high school with her so I knew her previous and she handled the situation and we had no more issues from there. BUT as my child moves to step 4… things took a turn for the worst, my child had suddenly come home to yelling and screaming at her toys to “ lay down and shut up” “ I said now!!” Pointing her fingers and talking to her town very rudely. I thought we’ll she’s a kid she’s seeing others act that way so she’s doing the same thing. I over looked it. Then she begins coming home and telling me “ mommy I got into trouble today and I got yelled at” I said who yelled at you and what did you do ? KEEP IN MIND MY CHILD IS 3 years old! Her teacher never stopped me to tell me my child was sent to time out or has gotten in trouble , I was shocked at this news from my daughter because, she’s never been in trouble before, EVER! So I ask the teacher the next day what happened and she told me a quick “ it was no big deal” story but my child got put in time out but yet I was never notified. A few days pass my child is still coming home that she is in trouble I ask the teacher she still barely acts like it’s no big deal. I’m upset at this point NO ONE HAS TOLD ME A ISSUES ABOUT MY CHILD INTIL I ASK THEM FROM MY CHILD TELLING ME. My mother picked up one day for me, I had told her what has been going on and I told her to ask the teacher about my daughter day , she watched from the window for a few minuets before entering the room and witness the teacher point her finger at the child and yell at them the child went running off to the bathroom screaming crying my mother stepped in at that point and the teacher instantly began caring for the child and trying to calm them down .. as my mother starts to ask about my daughter day the teacher avoids her waiting on my mother to leave , my mom hung around and ask her how her day was, to my sunrise she said “ she was good today but no nap” also the door code is supposed to be changed every single month or month and a half, when the awesome director left there the sort code hasn’t been changed in MONTHS! they just recently changed it. Most of the time there’s no one in the office looking to see who’s coming and going , some parents hold the door for others about let anyone in the security and safety of your child is not important there. I hope this opens some eyes at this place , I’ve never left a review on a places page ever! I had to create a account just to leave a review because I felt so strongly about this I hope it can save someone else’s kid from being in a bad situation. I pulled my daughter out with no warning to the daycare Because I was afraid for her safety , they messaged me saying “ we require a 2 week notice” I checked me handbook and it says the want a 2 weeks notice before withdrawing my child , and that all items need to go home or they will be donated. “ says nothing about a charge or anything else.they have some amazing people at this place and o hope those people get out of there and find a better place to work they deserve better! I have called the state and a few other places to help the safely of these children. Don’t make the mistake I made in sending my child here , go anywhere else.

My children have attended Stepping Stone Academy for about 5 years. I have never had any issues or troubles with any teachers. Every morning I was met with a smile and a good morning from numerous teachers I would pass in the hallway. The kids always had a smile and seemed happy. If this were a place I didn’t feel safe bringing my children for 8+ hours a day, I definitely would not. I will recommend this place 100 times over the others. My next child will be here from 6 weeks till they are 5. This place just feels right! Friendly and very welcoming.

Hate seeing people lying on reviews. I have zero doubts in my mind that no one who works at SSA would ever put their hands on a child.We have loved this daycare since the moment we started! I would highly recommend to anyone to send their kids there. Great, friendly staff! Breakfast, lunch and snack are all provided! They even go above and beyond to make sure my child who can’t have certain things is still taken care of and can eat! Thank you SSA for being AWESOME!

We have absolutely loved our time at SSA! The staff is absolutely amazing & they have treated all of my children like their own. The owner & admins are so kind and understanding. I wouldn’t take my children anywhere else!

Understaffed under managed and unrealistic regulations that they say are DCS regulated! Well to be frank I'm a foster parent and have reached out to DCS to validate my unrealistic regulations and quote "said thats not a mandatory thing to give kids juice" it's nearly a suggestion. And the soap and water on table is for sensory play ok but how many times a day and and what's the ratio of soap and water???? This is a great daycare as long as you’re a stay at home parents and can go and pick them up twice a week. and God forbid you have a request like please don’t give my child juice because it upsets their stomach the response I got was it state law we have to. The next response is sorry your kid has diarrhea time to come get her..how about we check the kids that don't have diapers, they are the ones more likely to spread viruses as they don't always wash their hands! so many better daycares out there than this one like Stonebrook Day School t hat’s a phenomenal daycare this one I wouldn’t stop in to use the bathroom.

Seriously best daycare hands down, I cannot say enough about this facility. They treat you like family and will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met! We love the entire staff.

We absolutely loved this child care. I would be here all day if I had to list everything but some key points, they were willing to accept my child and her cloth diapers when others would not. They also have a garden that the children get to help with and eat from. The employees simply do not get paid enough for how awesome they are. Patient, fun and also good communication skills with parents. I would 100/10 recommend this place.

Our daughter loves the school! Mrs. Betsy, the owner, is wonderful with children, she loves them all like they are her own kids. She goes above & beyond to make the kids feel special, loved, welcome, and safe. I know my daughter is well cared for, and eats a home cooked lunch every day.

Stepping Stone Academy has been so good to my daughter and I. The staff are nice and professional. Mrs. Betsy is the head of the academy and she is an amazing, hard working, caring, passionate and stern (in a good way) woman:) I love the fact that Mrs. Betsy has a vegetable garden that the children get to help with and also get to eat from each year. This is FANTASTIC!!!? I like the fact that the facility has a code on the front door to get in and out of it gives me more sense of security for my child and the children there. Stepping Stone also does great with wanting to hear and know of your concerns and questions. I’m very pleased with Stepping Stone and Recommend this childcare facility especially if you are getting government assistance for childcare.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THEIR EIN NUMBER FOR TAXES? I HAD TO MOVE SUDDENLY AND WAS A WEEK BEHIND ON PAYMENT, SO THEY WONT GIVE IT TO ME, THEY ARE HOLDING IT HOSTAGE. TRACY ANDERSON, DO YOU HAPPEN TO KNOW IT SINCE YOU WORKED THERE???
