My husband and our family went to Nashville for a day trip yesterday and stopped at a few establishments, this being one of them. He is extremely shy, but pushed himself to go inside an unfamiliar place because I got excited seeing the shawarma art on the front of the building. "See what this place is about!" I asked. I didn't expect him to come out with anything, but bag in hand he opens our vehicle door and says "I don't know what I got!" ?Keep in mind he's a "baby muslim" (of only 5 years now) without much exposure to muslim culture, cuisine, anything really from our lack of diversity where we live. In his own words he expressed "I went inside said beef and pointed to a couple things. He started to make me a sandwich. An absolute artist I started feeling bad telling him no don't add that or that!"We shared a very delicious meal from a very kind and patient sandwich artist. The meat was super tender, and the peppers were so good. I wish we would have ordered a couple more to take back home to chattanooga.

Can't get enough of this place! I come here maybe twice a week for the shawarma sandwich. Their ranch sauce is one of the most flavorful condiment I've had. Ibrahim the owner, has had his doors open for nearly 28 years, through many changes in the neighborhood - through the pandemic and everything - because of the quality of his ingredients and the authenticity of his recipes.

Easy to miss from the outside, but so lucky I found this place! What a gem. They’re very helpful and welcoming over the phone. Definitely a lot of regulars, which is a good sign. When you walk in, immediately feels like everyone is treated like family, Muslim or not. Can’t find find quality meat better than this place. Very fair price for fresh halal meat.An authentic Zabiha halal Middle eastern food . I tried the gyro , steak, Shawarma and barbecue chicken . The steak were super on point I will definitely be a regular customer here. Will be trying everything on the menu soon.

I would never have found this place if it wasn't for my friend Wally who knew I would like it. I'm such a fan of this little market and restaurant. This place for me was instantly comfortable. Ibrahim is as genuinely nice a guy as you will ever meet. I love his smile. He bakes white and wheat pita bread and supplies restaurants all over town. He also sells lamb and goat at good prices. He has a hot table with lamb shank and a goat stew, rice and stewed okra both times I was there. One time he had white beans. I had the shank over rice topped with the okra with a little more on the side, pita and a side salad - with a soda & tax for 16.50. That's a bargain for lamb shank folks, and it was very well prepared. I have not tried the goat yet, that's next if I can overcome my urge to order the shawarma. Oi the shawarma! It's unlike any shawarma you've probably ever had. It's not traditional because it's cooked on a flat top grill, not on a rotisserie and Ibrahim makes his... with curry, his own blend of curry spices. Absolutely delicious. A destination sandwich. Every ingredient so fresh. The sandwich has lettuce, tomato, pickles and ranch. Pro-tip - he can add Serrano peppers! I asked him to add hot sauce to mine. He may have added mustard automatically because I saw a bottle of yellow mustard. Or his curry may be mustard-y. Yet another mystery to solve. So many questions. A & H also sells labneh, a new obsession of mine. It's yogurt that has been drained so it's thick and spreadable like cream cheese but has the tartness of yogurt. You can eat it with honey or olives, cucumber or paprika, olive oil, fruit, my mind spins when I think of the possibilities. Go see Ibrahim and try everything. This kind man deserves Nashville's support.
