$269 in shipping charges to have it sent via UPS where I’m expected to assemble it like it’s ikea. I live 80 miles from Nashville, for that price I expected it was being delivered by hand, not for me to put it together. I spent $2,500 to ASSEMBLE my own things? I’m speechless. Whoever runs their social media is equal awful

My wife ordered a table online in August. The delivery date was delayed twice. We decided to visit the store in Nashville to see if they could assist us in getting the table. They had the table on display and after hearing our delay story, and although they don’t usually sell off the floor, they offered us the display table, which we accepted. The gentleman that helped us was extremely nice and apologetic. He was new and said they had previous issues on service that they were working hard to rectify.

This was the worst experience I have EVER had with a business. It has become a joke with all my friends... What will Ballard do next? The wrong item was sent. I was going to keep it but it was also damaged. Dealing with the " I don't really care 800 number " and getting all kinds of wrong answers. Getting a refund was a nightmare. At one point, my credit card was charged for two pieces of furniture that were not even in my home. Today I finally got the piece I had first ordered. The delivery company would not unbox it. They would only set a huge box in my house for me to unpack. I have never had that happen before in my life.

Do not order anything from this company. Google their name online and you will understand why. They will take your money and then delay your order 3 to 12 months if they ever ship it at all. It’s impossible to get a refund. No one will proactively call you. When you call their main number on their website, they will consistently hang up on you. Your money will be gone and you will have nothing to show for it. These people are borderline criminal.

I have ordered items online from Ballard Designs in the past with great success. I’m just now aware they have an actual store in Nashville. I found a rug online and decided to visit the store to see a sample of the rug I was interested in and to feel it. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. My design consultant was Chantae. She was able to show me the exact rug sample and gave great advice. I purchased the Kendal Hand Woven Rug 8x10. It shipped directly to me within 5 days. Chantae was a great help and the quality of this rug is fabulous. I’m so excited to know I can now go to an actual store!!!!

Went to store after working out to purchase curtain rods. Store was busy so I browsed around waiting for a salesperson. I waited and waited and waited....one saleswoman actually dodged me. I've shopped there before without being ignored but I guess I wasn't wearing a hoodie.

I actually live in Nashville and ordered from Ballard Designs. The ordering process if terribly misleading. They have items on the final sale but then send emails after some of the items are shipped that others are on backorder for months. If they are on final sale - no return it stand to reason they are in stock and on clearance for a reason... Then they offer in home VIP white gove delivery which includes placing it in the room of choice. What it DOES NOT include is assembly - So they actually unbox the item (patio chair) in all the pieces and place it and the bag of hardward on your patio and call that white glove VIP and charge accordingly. That leaves you to call someone to put assemble and pay again. Needless to say the remainder of the order was cancelled and no further orders will be made. Sometimes it worth selling the items on facebook and starting over. Perhaps I should have clarified but I have yet to have to clarify with any other furniture company when ordering "white glove" or VIP delivery... Perhaps there is a page that describes the "shipping instructions" in more detail. I did not order through the Nashville Store, but to do the review I could fine no other way to post the review. It is not the fault of anyone in the store and does refer to the people in the store.

Placed an order in February and I am still waiting on delivery of my item. Within a week of said delivery, I receive an email saying my item is again backordered and it gets pushed back another couple weeks. This has been going on since beginning of May. Very very frustrating. I understand shortages with staffing but this is starting to get ridiculous.

I love this store! Our sales lady Catherine Soudoplatoff is phenomenal. The quality of their furniture is excellent.. I've just purchased a new home and my husband and I have been visiting the store quite frequently and every experience we have had has been great. The customer service is great here! Can't wait to visit back soon!

My wife and I have been visiting this store regularly to purchase new items for our home. Catherine the sales lady who has been helping us has been very helpful. She's very knowledgeable about the products they offer and she's very professional as well. We love this store and everything seems to be top quality for us. Everytime we have visited it has always been a wonderful experience for us. We look forward to returning to the store soon.

Ballard is a great place to shop with beautiful designs and expert design service. Sherry Prescott is phenomenal! She designed our entire master bedroom with furniture, bedding, lamps, draperies, etc. She listened and helped tailor the design based on our input. Very enjoyable experience that helps take the stress out of the decision making!

I waited 5 mos for my couch to be delivered. Upon arrival, it was filthy with large water stains. I have now been told I'll have to wait another 4-5 mos for the replacement. When I went in the store to speak to the manager I was told she was on lunch and that she would call me. She did once and left a message saying she'd try again the next morning. She never called back. I ordered something else as well prior to having purchased the couch and it also was not right. I sent it back. There are some very nice and talented people who work in this store. That said, I do not recommend buying anything sight unseen. The manager should be concerned about this ENORMOUS hassle; she is not, apparently.
