I went here with my boyfriend, and we thought we were getting a really good deal, but I'm guessing since we are young as they thought they could take advantage of us and tell us that we needed to use their insurance on the truck, which about doubled the price we were supposed to be paying for the truck. We ended up finding out that they could not do this since we had our insurance and had that money refunded. These people are so shady!!!

Budget does not take care of loyal customers...the location was dumpy and the lady at the counter was obviously annoyed having to be there for her Saturday 4 hours. They didn't have the truck I reserved and offered a larger truck. This cost me more money gas wise and was a difficult drive for a female needing a much smaller truck. The agent who tried to locate me another truck was nice but couldn't find one. I will try my best to avoid budget

Rented a moving truck here thinking I was getting a good deal but I was VERY WRONG. They will screw you over by requiring insurance (their vehicles are "commercial" and not covered by most insurers) and so I went from spending around $30-$50 to $175!!! No idea how that is ethical at all, why advertise cheap trucks if you just screw over your buys forcing them to get insurance. I would recommend UHaul because I don't think they do shady stuff like that and it will be much cheaper.

In general, renting a box truck can suck. Picking up my truck was really no fun (though I had a reservation for a 16' truck, each location at which I had a valid reservation actually did not have a truck for me) - but, returning my truck to Nashville was a huge sigh of relief. The guys were all ready and available to check me in and get me out of there. They even over-looked the fact that I was late (traffic was heck) and did not charge me any overage. Friendly, fast, and helpful - their behavior stopped me from writing a complaint to the main office for the pick up experience. Great work guys - I sincerely appreciate you!

I do not know why this business is rated so poorly. We had excellent service. Truck was ready at the agreed time. Truck was clean and damage free. The truck only had 7,000 miles on it. Both people that served us could not have been more courteous. Would use these guys again without hesitation.

Honestly, it was a great experience. The bad reviews are deceptive. We had a wonderful experience. Great customer service and a nice vehicle. I would recommend it.

Terrible service. Incredibly rude staff. They didn’t have the truck we reserved, and said finding a replacement isn’t their problem. Change your move dates rather than do business with this branch.

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by Budget at this location. I had booked a rental with a reservation, but upon arrival at the location, I was informed that no cars were available. It's ridiculous that Budget had not communicated the issue to me before my arrival, resulting in significant Uber fees to reach my hotel. The response from the Budget location to the situation was completely inadequate. They offered no assistance on when a rental would be available, leaving me with continued Uber costs for 24 hours. 24 hours later, and after I had to reach out to corporate, the car I was given was dirty and had ripped-off decals on the windows, which is unacceptable for any customer, let alone one who had made a reservation and paid for the service. To make matters worse, upon dropping the car off, I arrived to find a handwritten note stating that the location was closed for the day. This left me in a difficult position since there was no key drop-off at this location, and official signs specifically stated NOT to leave cars overnight. I had to initiate communication once again with Budget assistance to inform them of the situation and had to rush to drop the car off at the airport, almost missing my flight due to Budget's negligence.Skip the hassle and find another service provider. This location could care less about you and your business.

If I could give them no stars I would. the service here was terrible, they allow you to book a truck on their website and then when you show up to pick up the truck they are sold out of all the trucks. this has happened to me and my friend twice now consecutively with no way for them to tell you that they are all booked up there's no call back saying I'm sorry we cannot fulfill your reservation, they shouldn't even allow you to reserve the truck if they are all sold out. by far worst experience with a rental company so far.

Loved it! Anthony was extremely nice and helpful and he remembers people when they come in from talking on the phone. He works very hard trying to help everyone at once and works almost every day! Highly recommend if only because of him. Car did smell like smoke, but of course that's the fault of whoever did that... the lot is also very small and you can't leave your car there but that didn't affect anything for me.

This is the worst rental place ever! Made a reservation for a truck, when we arrived they said they had no trucks. There was no less than 10 trucks in the parking lot but they said they did not work. All the person at the desk did is tell me we could call their cooperate phone number. Would not even offer to help find us a solution.

I made reservations a month in advance for a truck rental at this location. I also added a car carrier to tow my car so I wouldn’t have to purchase gas for the truck and my car. When I arrived, nothing was ready for my reservation. I had to wait for a worker to go get gas and come back. When I received the truck, it was filthy! Door was broken, blue tape was left on the windshield from the installation, and dirt everywhere. This was unacceptable. I spoke with one of the workers and was able to get another truck. The new truck was pulled from the back with a full tank of gas and again, filthy. Not as filthy as the first truck. I really don’t understand why I had to wait for the first truck to get gas in it when there was a truck in the back that already had gas. The worker stated he was under the impression that this was a last minute reservation. This place doesn’t even deserve one star. I actually had to put gas in the truck and my vehicle to drive to another state. Gas is at an all time high right now. I should have spent a little more money and booked a U-Haul.

Dusty Williams, Assistant Manager at this location, is a champion who does what's right and knows what she's doing. Her no-BS, helpful, keep-it-real willingness to take care of me when her corporate overlords had totally screwed the pup is a phenomenal reason to give them your business, even when the brand and corporation above them is a hot, wet dumpster fire. When Budget's cheap-labor foreign call centers and whoever designed their email and comms workflow massively screwed up my rental arrangement, she managed to swoop in and smooth everything over, giving me a discount in the process. She and her people work hard in a somewhat thankless situation on a very small lot. I booked a cargo van on May 11th for a June 12th pickup. The email confirmation came through, showing the correct vehicle, no problem. In the dark of night, at about 1:45am on Jun 10th, I got a new email confirmation that the van had been "upgraded" to a box truck. This was not going to work at all, as I chose a van for the small load we needed to retrieve from storage in Nashville and drive to Michigan, and it would navigate construction zones and cities much more safely, and likely get better mileage. While we were on the road to Nashville a few days out, I called to verify/correct this issue. I touched the LOCAL PHONE NUMBER in the email that was sent from a BUDGET TRUCK domain, and it rang through, instead, to a foreign call center with cheap labor who barely speaks English. I went around and around with the first rep, who insisted that my confirmation number was incorrect. I demanded someone in another call center or a supervisor who would possibly "get it." The second person (a good 25min into this ordeal), managed to understand that I had been routed incorrectly to BUDGET CAR customer service, apologizing profusely for the prior dope. He was able to transfer me to yet another language-challenged foreign cheap-labor call center which was, at least, the Budget TRUCK side of the house. This rep was able to tell me that she saw a van still on the reservation but something I could not make out about inventory concerns, and she promised me a call from a LOCAL inventory specialist within two hours. This call concluded in Louisville, on the road. Louisville is two hours from Nashville. By the time we rolled into Nashville, no call had come in, so we decided to stop by the 1st St location and just ask the crew there. They said they saw nothing wrong, but maybe something odd that CS had tried to do, which they corrected, and they personally assured me that the van would be there and was intended for me. Dusty herself handled it and informed me she'd be there that Sunday for the pickup. She and her staff helped me clear up the fact that we'd need to add insurance at another large sum of money dictated by Budget's corporate greed-mongers and shareholders, on top of the rental, but I didn't have issue with that as it was the reality at hand. Sunday comes, and I arrive about half an hour early just to be sure I didn't keep Dusty and her team too late, as they close at noon. The place was wild. Apparently, the Budget asshats allow heaps and heaps of mixed vehicle returns from both Avis and Budget to be dropped on a crew of 2-3 people on a short day, with little to no regard for the physical space and ZERO concern for safety, on a busy, 4-lane boulevard with very little customer parking. They were running ragged to keep up, but even among that chaos, Dusty took care of the transaction and also played parking-lot-Tetris like a champ. What really pissed me off was that Dusty mentioned Budget personnel called her and asked what she did to make me unhappy(!!!!). That was when I promised her I'd be following up on this to correct the record and admonish Budget and their minions for trying to throw her under the bus. I am beyond livid and offended that their answer to this whole thing was to attempt to pass the buck and punish the hard-working team on the ground. That was beyond the pale. But Dusty really
