Dated and cheap. Wifi is super slow (averaging 3.5MBPS). There is not a single accessible plug beside the bed for charging devices (and no alarm clock which isn't needed, but my phone has to be across the room to charge). The cheap little drip coffee maker is gross. Everything just feels cheap. It seems like they're going for the "extended stay" vibe, but there's only 1 comfortable chair to sit in, so a solo traveler would be set, but what about a couple? The room is decently sized as well, so it just feels empty. I'm here for work, so I didn't pick it, but I wouldn't be staying here if I had a choice. It was probably really nice 20 years ago, so it's in dire need of being brought up to current standards. The employees at the front desk were very nice, tho. That's the only decent thing about this place.

Very nice hotel. Very convenient to downtown and all the fun Nashville stuff. Great place to stay.

My wife and our 2 small children stayed here for 2 night after our youngest had a procedure at Hampton Inn in downtown. This hotel was surprisingly better. First off, we checked out of our Hampton Inn hotel at 11am and the folks at Candlewood let us check in around 11:30am instead of the 3pm check in time, that was super awesome of them. We then unloaded what we could while we carries our kids with us up to the room. As we entered, I knew that I liked this room a lot more than I thought I would. Super roomy and clean. The bathroom was a little outdated but honestly, who cares? It wasn't THAT bad. Just not as modern as it could've been and it was painted green (not the best choice imo)The only actual complaints I have were the toilet paper was half a roll which I thought was a little "ehh" but nothing to go crazy about, the shower was a little small, no exhaust fan, no do not disturb sign with my door and a housekeeper opened my door around 9:15am while I was in bed sleeping (in the buff I might add) and woke my 2 year old up as well as myself, I was rudely awoken and my heart skipped a beat due to being startled awake. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would most likely stay here again.

Room was super clean!! For the price the room was pretty big, bed was super comfy, kitchen space is cute and has basically anything you need, staff was also SUPER friendly, shower was nice and hot, bathroom was clean. Location is not in a super busy part of town, it’s close to a lot of places to eat and close to downtown.Noteworthy details: Very clean!!

We had 4 rooms and all were wonderful, clean and well appointed. It was a quiet location and I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were all so very kind and a real pleasure to interact with. If we are through this area again, we will definitely return.

Have stayed at Candlewood Suites three times and every time had issues. 1st time they put me in a rood that hadn't been cleaned and when I went down to the desk, it took them an hour to find me a room. I'm assuming they had someone come in and clean another room. Second Visit, their key systems didn't work, and they had to escort me to my room let me in, and 2 hours later came up with a key. The third time, I had reserved a king room and came in and they had given my room away. Ended up in a double queen room, and next to a room with a dog that barked all night. I called down and they said they couldn't do anything about the dog. I asked to be moved and they didn't have any other rooms. Talked to the manager the next day and he said there wasn't anything they can do about noise/dogs/animals. The showers/bathrooms looks like they haven't been remodeled in 10 or so years, carpets need to replaced in the rooms. They are now remodeling (painting rooms), and putting in carpet but they need to close down and tear out the showers/bathrooms and do a true remodel. The only reason I stay there is it is where my company has an agreement to save. Also, it's a 10 to 20 minute walk to any food, and everything in the store starts at 3.00 each. I'm waiting on the new Hotel to open next door and our contract to be signed there where I can never have to go to this hotel again.Rooms: Rooms need an major remodel. Rooms are decorated from the late 1990's / early 2000's. Carpets are dirty/dingy and showers/walls need repainting. They are finally repainting the halls and replacing carpet because of a new hotel being built across the street.Food & drinks: No food close by, 10 to 20 minute walk to the closest fast food, 20 minutes to any sit down place. Also, the walk is dangerous since the streets aren't lighted at night.

The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Its hallways are newly renovated, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Their cleaning service always had quick solutions for me when I needed something I had a somewhat long stay so everything was very good for

My accommodation was only for a week some time ago but it was really nice, all the staff was very attentive and helpful, especially a lady named Brenda, she was the one who managed to help me check in since I didn't understand the hotel staff very much. I don't speak English at all at the reception, she was very attentive and kind to me and explained where the laundry was, which by the way is free if you stay there and the store is fantastic if you want to eat something quick. The hotel was always very clean from check-in to check-out. The cleaning staff was always attentive to what I needed. Their floors seem to be new.

Had 2 rooms for the family. Both were pretty dirty. Beds were clean though. 1 room was missing a tv remote, toilet paper, soap empty in shower, also shower would barely drain. Talked to front desk multiple times throughout our 3 night stay but still did not get resolved. 2nd room was out of toilet paper and soap in shower. Heater in bedroom made terrible noises when running. Never wrote a bad review for a hotel before but I would spend a little more and have better luck like I usually do.

My base of operations while taking a few days off from backpacking to Florida to hang in Nashville. Super clean rooms and common areas - newly renovated.Set in a nice quiet area off the beaten path in the north side, just a two or three miles from downtown where all the action is... an easy walk for me.

This place is on par for the bargain price. No free breakfast. The linen and towels are clean. There are patched up holes on the walls and bathtub. No bed bugs but found the bed box spring was cut by someone and makes you wonder what was hidden in there before.

Everything was great about the hotel except that they charged me twice. The room was beautiful and had a full size fridge, stove, dishwasher, and dishes. We did the king room with the sofa bed. It was very nice that the king bed was in a separate area with its own TV because I was traveling with a couple and I slept on the sofa bed while they slept in the other room with the king bed. They put a $50 deposit on my card and said it would be returned at checkout. Sometime in the middle of the night I was charged another $86. At checkout the guy at the desk said he had no idea what the extra charge was for. He told me to talk to my bank which is stupid because my bank isn't the issue. The hotel charged me for the room even though I paid through priceline. So basically I paid $300 to stay for about 12 hours. The cost of the room was 136. Now I have to jump through hoops to get this removed when it's not my banks problem. It's the hotels problem.

Please avoid this hotel at all cost!!!! I wish I could leave a zero. Sheets were not changed. Blood stains on the sheets were covered by pillows, instead of being changed. Management did not even offer to change the covers when we notified them. We had to change them ourselves. They then tried to tell us it was maybe a fruit stain and STILL did not change our sheets. They didn't seem to care that there was BLOOD, on our sheets. Horrible hotel. On our first night, one of the front desk people were literally getting arrested in front of the hotel. I think that tells you all you need to know.
