They always try to close the store early, likely because they’re extremely understaffed. That is a high trafficked area and cannot be manned by 1 or two people.
Today (11/7) I was turned away at 9:40 (quite rudely actually) for this reason. There was a line and only one person working.

I shop at DGX because it is a nice clean store. Well and always nicely stocked. The products are always lined up nice. I always go there because I’m in a wheelchair and the bus stops right in front of the store. Super convenient but on 10/8/2025 I was in there and wanted/needed to use the restroom. I took my purchases up to the counter and asked if I could use the restroom. The clerk came back with “our bathrooms are not for the public. I responded that that wasn’t true as a regular shopper here I have used it every now and then. He went to his supervisor and she had the gall to say to him “tell him someone stole the key.” And also. Every time I asked to used the restroom. I was escorted back. Not given the key. I left my purchase there and wheelchairs myself out. I was made to feel like one of the homeless that go in there and steal or one of the thieving employees they hire or the sorry teenagers standing around looking for an empty aisle so they can be on thier phones. I didn’t leave mad but I let the manager know that I just saw a man come out of the bathroom but there was no commotion to get the key back. I was super disappointed beat they had some nice “thinking of you” cards I needed and RC cola. I went to Mexican restaurant I always go to after shopping at DGX and ordered dinner and they had no problem allowing me to use their clean bathroom. So I guess I’ll do my business at “Wally world”. Thanks.

Rarely do I leave a bad review but this place…. I will NEVER shop here again. I’m here a lot but today was screamed at from the time I walked in til I left. The older lady working the register was screaming because I brought a bag in from another store. Fine I handed it to her to keep and she throw it outside her area and screamed “employees things only back here”. I was a little taken back as I was not rude in any way but was met with such aggression. I literally just picked up my bags and left. I was embarrassed by her actions and so was the guy at the register checks out. I had my headphones in and am sorry I didn’t hear you screaming like I was literally stealing the whole store. Disgraceful and rude lady.

This is a great store!! The staff are really helpful and so very nice ! They store is very clean and organized, Charlene and Larry are awesome employees and helped me find everything I needed. Great location !

Store closed and hour earlier than posted on website. Physically went to the building and they are shut. And the phone lines are dead.

The store was easy to access in the West End area. It has a variety of items, including snacks and healthcare. I specifically went for some allergy medicine and it was easy to locate. Employees are very pleasant.

+ Friendly staff
– Groceries (e.g. milk, bread) tend to go bad quick, even before expiry date
– Limited options
People working here are nice but beware if you plan to get any groceries here.

Not gonna lie, I’ve been very disappointed in this DG’s service lately, but I came in tonight, and the cashier named Michael was amazing! He went out of his way to help the two people in front of us find what they were looking for, and then greeted us with a smile and asked us if we needed anything else. He was overall just genuine and very helpful. Changed my mind about this DG. It was the best experience I’ve ever had at that DG!!

Really great store, fully stocked and very organized. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant experience overall, got what I needed at a very affordable price. Highly recommend for your everyday needs
