Only went in to purchase a valentine card for my wife. Went to self checkout and employee got all in my space . Tried to scan card didn’t work . The employee stood right in my space only to keep saying no as if it was my job. I am not a child and don’t want to be belittled by her . Went to Hendersonville to make purchase.

The store Manager here is very rude and does NOT follow her own store policies. They are Not pet friendly and was told that my SERVICE DOG was not allowed there and was made to leave the store. Then yesterday I had went to that same store without dog and bought cigarettes and got Cashback. It was very cold outside and I asked the cashier to hold my bag while I went to look for gloves. I then heard the manager and employee yelling back and forth about what Zi bought why I went into the store. The manager then told me there's No gloves on sale there then No tea then I grabbed some cola gummies to purchase cause I still needed 20 cash back and was told there's no money now for cash back! That I could leave. After this I went to Sprouts and bought a couple of items and the cashier from dollar general(elderly African American lady) was behind me snapping pictures of me and my purchases. I'm pretty sure that is an envasion of privacy and very illegal. How can an on the clock employee follow you around and take your picture? I was afraid and felt very very violated. I have done nothing wrong except try to spend my money in your store and this is how I was treated! There very rude and hostile there.

I thought this was an allright store. I asked the cashier what date it was so I would know if my online account coupon would work. I did not havd my phone with me and I could not remember the date. It was actually that simple. So the cashier didn't understand what I was asking and when I said why I was asking he says - Oh its you again. I just shake my head in disgust. Im new to the area Ive been in about 6 times. I have always been a DG shopper the coupons online save us tons of money. But when the staff gets aggravated because you want to use the DG coupons its frustrating. So while its frustrating to the staff just know these coupons help keep the lights on for my house. I will always shop by the sales and use the coupons. I will not go back to Madison DG unless I just have to. So yall find yourselves another customer to degrade and harass.
If yall are offended by customers wanting to enter their phone number to use coupons on the DG app then by all means get rid of the app.

Is it clean, yes. My issue is I was treated like a criminal. Hovered over and harassed at checkout. I even had to tell the lady to back up so I can at least enter my rewards number. I will NEVER come back to this location.

Absolutely no registers for normal check out only self checkouts which are almost impossible for doing large transactions. And no one watches the self checkout at all so it takes forever to get any help on anything.

I go into this this dollar general almost every day and usually I have a great experience but today. My husband accidentally left a bag behind so he went back up there and upon entering the cashier told my husband that he had left it there and she had just put the stuff back up. He had a few more things to get so when he came back to the line the manager told him that she watched the camera and he took two bags out which is true but he had three even with the cashier telling her she wouldn't give him the stuff we had already paid for. I won't be going back here again she basically was calling him a theif and I think she just did this to him because he's black because I'm white this is the first time we've been as a couple and I've never been treated like this before

Brand spanking new store open for about a week and a half. Great folks and great selection of merchandise. Hours are 8am-10pm. It took 7 years for this area to market sweet tea and Patti's pies. Now there's finally a DGS here. What's next a Waffle House? Lol

But they had a cashier I’ve never seen before by the nameOf stephen ringing people out. I get to the counter with my snacks and guess what this man says ? “You have nothing of nutritional value” sir.. i didn’t come here to be fat shamed or shamed about what I’m putting in my body. The “honesty” was not needed. I’ll be going to corporate as well. He thought it was funny but it was quite embarrassing to be told that in front of a store of people.

The manager is the most rude egotistical human being I have ever met I asked him if you needed the receipt for a promotion and he completely went off on me it was only when I told him that I own Dollar general stock that he treated me nicely..

Horrible. The manager literally followed us around the store when it was time to check out made sure to stand right next to the cashier made sure we didn't steal anything. Then looked at us said have a nice day. Third time this has happen with this particular manager. When we left she told the cashier some people be stealing all the while looking at us while a man walked out the door with a pack of doughnuts. Funny.
