My dog suffered a fracture, and I entrusted Dr. Unger to evaluate him. Her misdiagnosis not only cost me money but almost cost my dog his leg. She told me to amputate my dog's leg without suggesting any alternatives. She was without empathy, compassion, and unwavering when giving me this misdiagnosis. She led me to believe that it was the one and only thing to do and didn't offer any alternatives. She also gave me wrong information and read the x-rays incorrectly stating the knee was damaged and irreparable when, in fact, it wasn't that at all. Luckily, I requested a referral to visit a specialist. This wasn't offered at the time of the visit with this specific veterinarian. After seeing the specialist, asking questions, and given OPTIONS, I chose to start physical therapy. I started giving my dog the appropriate supplements and support to assist him on his healing journey. Within 2 months, my dog is walking and using his hind leg. I'm appreciative that I didn't blindly listen to her, pay for surgery, or go hacking off a leg that in time with the adequate treatment could heal. I recommend seeing the other veterinarians at this practice. I have had better experiences with them.

We adore, ADORE, this vet. They were recommended to my son as a good exotic pets vet for his chameleon. They far exceeded what I thought a vet would know about and be able to do with a chameleon. They were so kind and helpful. It was a bit of a drive but totally worth it.

I bought my little dog in and she was very sick. She was given an X-Ray . I was told it was a heart murmur and she needed an echocardiogram and that couldn't be done for 3 more days, Thursday afternoon. When I picked her up Monday afternoon from the office to take her home I ask if there was blood work done I was told that could wait till Thursday too. I was told she was given a shot of Lasix and some pills of the same drug. I ask if they could go ahead and draw blood before I took her home so we could get the results sooner than Thursday. I was told no that was not necessary. Her condition worsened over the night and she still wasn't eating at all. I called the office Tuesday morning and told them I was concerned she still wasn't eating at all. I was told to come over and get an appetite stimulant which I did. That did nothing and she by now she hadn't eaten in 3 days and she was a 5 pound dog. I called around Wednesday morning and found NVS who could do the test that day. NVS told me I would have to bring her in through emergency. If Belle Forest had called Monday and referred me in I could have gotten the test done a day earlier but that was not offered. I went to Belle Forest office and had them send her records to NVS along with the X-ray they took on Monday. NVS did the echocardiogram and the doctor told me the results showed she had a minor heart mummer a B-1. I was ask where if blood work was done Monday and I told them it had not been and that I had even ask for it to be done and was told it could wait till Thursday when I brought her back for the echo at Belle Forest office. The doctor said he didn't think she was suffering this badly from the B-1 heart Mummer and NVS ordered blood work. The results showed she was suffering from very high kidney toxic levels. The treatment suggested was to do fluid therapy. And not to give anymore of the Lasix drug I was told to give her. NVS kept her Wednesday night to start the other treatment but I was called this morning and told her condition had already gotten too bad and I needed to come over immediately. Eldry passed away this morning around 7 am. I have now reached using Lasix when the kidneys are having problems and have found that it IS NOT and a drug that should have been given. I feel the care Eldry was given caused her death. If only Dr Shannon had taken enough time to do blood work on Monday we have know the real problem and Eldry might still be alive. I WILL NEVER GO TO BELLE FOREST AGAIN and I WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW this story to hopefully save someone else's pet baby. Below is a photo of Eldry who might still be alive today if I had taken her somewhere else. Katherine McGill

I recently took my beloved cat Chancy for end of life care to Belle Forest Animal Hospital. I honestly found them while searching the internet. I am so moved today to receive a sympathy card signed by all the employee. I will use this veterinarian in the future for my other two cats, whenever they need care! They are a bright light of hope in a dark world

Ok for vaccines, but when your pet gets sick, they are not good at all. There are a lot of people who hate this clinic. I can now understand why.

The staff and doctors are top notch, and that alone would get them a 5-star review. But in addition, they are honestly empathetic and kind. That's a quality that can't be taught. When we've had to put pets down here (twice), the staff and doctors were so thoughtful and genuinely concerned for our feelings, that I would have paid twice what they charged. And on that note, their fees are very reasonable, and they are direct and upfront about what everything will cost.

I cannot day enough kind things about this place. Friendly and caring staff. I took my cat in and met Dr Kelly. She is knowledgeable, professional, fun and caring. She explains everything thoroughly. When I needed to update her on the progression of meds, she was quick to call back. She spent time considering what meds to use and explained the pros and cons to me. I never felt rushed or silly or bothersome. I know my "boy" will be well cared for under their wise eyes.

They have handled emergencies, new kitten visits, dental surgeries, elder care, & end of life with genuine concern for the well-being of pet & owner. I cannot say enough about Belle Forest! They are the best!

This place put me at ease when I have to take my cat there. They worked me in when my cat was sick and they communicated with me throughout the day. They gave me options and respected my decisions. They were so patient with me when I had so many questions. I interacted with 3 of them and they were all so nice.

I had been bringing my puppy here since I got him, they were a great help when he had an ear infection. However, my puppy had worms and I called at 7 am right when they opened to let them know what I had found and asked if I could bring him in to see a doctor. They told me they would call me back. I called again about an hour later to follow up and they told me they were extremely busy and would get back to me. I never heard back. So I took my puppy elsewhere and got treatment immediately.

I have been bringing my pets to this vet office for a long time. Something has happened to the care quality. 1st my dog got exposed to kennel cough during a boarding session. Ok, that can occur. But this time she got a bacterial infection from the bath and bathing facility. I believe the vet already knew what this was when we called about bringing her in. Maybe, my dog wasn't the only case?? Of course, they are taking care of the treatment but I'm seeking a different vet for my dog's care after this-
