Location of Service: 999 Polk Ave Nashville TNFeedback:Review of Gerber Collision on Polk Avenue, Nashville: Dropped off our RAV4 Hybrid on June 1 and was told the repairs would be completed within 2 weeks. On June 16, I noticed as soon as I drove up to pick up my car that the doors were not flush. You’d think they’d have noticed that! There were also a couple spots on the side of the door where the paint was chipped. John said he’d bring it in the back and it should take 15 minutes to adjust the doors and such. Low and behold, 45 minutes later he comes to get us and tells us there’s s slight problem. Now the silver frame above one of the windows is dented. He claims the guy fixing it leaned on it. What?! They’re going to order a replacement. Again, for probably the 12th time, I walk around our vehicle. What the heck?! There is now a 4-inch scrape on the bumper! He claims it must have been there prior to bringing it in the back. Uh…no. They’d now have to either replace the bumper and paint it or fix is somehow. He said it’d be up to the manager. As I left our precious baby with him again, he said it’d be ready early the following week. TWO weeks later, we went to pick it up. I noticed the door sill which says RAV4 was over half peeled off. I admit it wasn’t perfect prior, yet it wasn’t close to as bad as this was now. I looked at pictures they’d taken when I dropped off my car which proves this, although Doug (the manager) thought he was doing me a favor and order me a new one at no cost to me overly stating that “we try to please all our customers and hope for a good review since that’s how we get referrals”. Nice bribe. The doors still were not flush, and we ended up waiting an hour or so for them to fix them. Before driving away, I noticed my tire was flat. My dashboard light was on stating the tire pressure was low. It was not on prior to brining it to Gerber. The manager, Doug, said he’d take it in back and fill it up. He noticed a nail was in it and was unable to patch it. When I mentioned it must have happened in their care, he adamantly denied it stating that the threads on ALL my tires were worn and sliced into, stating I must drive on gravel a lot. Um, no! Their back lot has gravel. I don’t drive anywhere where gravel is. I took it immediately to Beaman and had all the tires inspected. Beaman assured me that no other tire showed any defects. I called numerous times to plead with Gerber to pay for the damaged tire ($290). Doug was sticking by his story, and I believe he said “my boss said we’ve spent too much on this car already”. What?! If the work had been done properly the first time, we’d have had our car in two-weeks time and in perfect condition. If money or time was spent, it clearly was not at fault of us. A couple other things to note… Toyota requires a pre and post scan. I had to ask for this. Both looked identical and a couple things on it puzzled me. I ended up bringing it to another Gerber who ran the scan and cleared what the Polk Avenue Gerber did not. Doug forgot to hand me my guarantee in which I reminded him prior to leaving. My car was filthy. I have leather seats and take exceptional care of my vehicle. I’ve had it 4 years and have very low mileage on it. It looks brand new. Seeing pictures Gerber took as my car was in their shop, I noticed the seats were not covered. They had some things sitting on my back seat. The doors were off which must have contributed to the filth in my car. Dust absolutely everywhere. Again, I not only had to spend money on a new tire, yet I had to detail my car myself. Quote from them was over $1,000 more than two other places. I only chose them because I was dealing with the person who hit our car’s insurance.

I had an excellent experience with my car being repaired here. John and Michelle made the process extremely easy and were kind the whole time. Their payments were itemized and organized, John texted me updates about my car, explained everything thoroughly, and my car was finished early. It reduced the stress tremendously. Thanks for the great customer service.

Due to Nashville drivers I have seen Gerber collision twice within past year for fairly major body repair. They do a good job. And they care about your satisfaction. The two ladies at front desk are helpful, down-to-earth and very friendly.Service: Body & Trim

This is sadly a unprofessional and disreputable company. I brought my vehicle in per USAA and was given an appraisal on a repair which the provided and set an appt for 5 weeks later. 5 weeks later I bring my vehicle in, and on they told me they decided they didn't want to work on Range Rover's anymore. What terrible customer service. They wasted an hour drive, twice, and 5 weeks because it was too hard to work with Range Rover. Boohoo you snowflakes. Life is hard sometimes. Or conversely, you could have been professional and let me know without wasting my time and energy. Go somewhere else. These simpletons are what is wrong with America. "It is too hard..." is their motto.

OEM Glass not offered, didn't work for calibration. Technician ran 1/2 hour late for the week later appointment. OEM glass replacement worked.

Update: Though they responded and claimed that the General Manager reached out to me, that is a bold faced lie. No one has reached out to me. Therefore this company's response to my original post is another lie. This is sadly a unprofessional and disreputable company. Customer service has been great. The communication was prompt and professional. My car was there for two weeks for a hood repair though. It is not a quick turnaround. Just be prepared for that.Service: Body & Trim

This positive feedback is the least I can do for Nathan their market manager, who like a true leader owned the problem of my vehicle and went above and beyond to resolve my issue. If it wasn't for him I would've never considered giving Gerber any future business, but now they're my only go to. People like you Nathan are leaders of the industry for a reason, and I was just honored and lucky to experience it first hand! I can't thank you enough!Service: Body & Trim

Good day,I would like to share my experience doing business with Gerber Collision 999 Polk Avenue Nashville Tennessee. And, my car repair is not complete.I have body damage to the passenger side rear door and quarter panel area of my vehicle. My vehicle has body damage only.My insurance company does business with Gerber Collision Nashville.January 16, 2023 I had an appointment for an estimate at Gerber Collision. The estimate gives the repair shop time see damaged and acquire needed parts to complete repair. Then an appointment for repair was set. Monday March 28, 2022 at 9 am.The gentleman who completed the first estimate would Skin the door and do other repair. The estimate for repair was $2776.17. Estimated time for repair was 48 hours.Gerber Collision had 8 weeks to prepare for my vehicle repair and didn’t. Gerber Collision had time to contact me about changes and did not.I arrived at Gerber Collision 9 am March 28, 2023. A different man wanted to look at my car. He had never seen me or my vehicle before. His name is Jim. Jim said my estimate would change. Boom, just that. The day repair was scheduled to begin Gerber Collision changed method of repair. The cost is now $5439.93. The method, replacing the door and time to complete needed repair changed as well. Estimated time for completion is now about 2 weeks.Jim didn’t have any parts for my vehicle as I arrived for my scheduled appointment. I looked at Jim and said Jim, this is not good you have no parts why should I leave my car here. Jim was confident the door would arrive in 48 hours. Jim insists I leave my car with him being so ill prepared to start repair of my vehicle. He’d have the door in 48 hours. My insurance pays up to $1000 for a rental.I had a rental for 6 days while Jim did absolutely nothing to my car. Jim seemed a bit confused about me needing to pay for a rental. Jim must come from the land of free stuff. I don’t.Gerber Collision did send me a helpful link. This way I could see what part of the repair process my vehicle was in. I checked the link daily to find by Monday April 3, 2023 my car had sat at Gerber Collision for 6 days with no repair preformed. My appointment for Gerber Collision to start work on my vehicle was March 28, 2023.I called Jim Monday April 3 2023. Parts for my vehicle were not in. Jim checked his computer then says my vehicle would be done by April 24, 2023. Trust me, I made sure the car door was not on a slow boat coming from China. I finished washing laundry called Gerber Collision back to let them know I was on my way to get my vehicle. They had it ready by 1 pm. I still have my vehicle at home. The difference in cost of repair from January till the end of March is $2662.75. State Farm is paying for it. Not a big deal right? Wrong!Cost for repairTime for repairMethod of repairChanged the day of my appointment for repair. You don’t treat your customers this way, even if the insurance company is paying the bill.Gerber Collision reviews state there was excellent communication to the customer. I am not one of those customers.Gerber Collision’s conduct is...Less then professionalUnreliableAndMisleadingSincerely, DiannaService: Body & Trim
