Very cute shirts, but I am very displeased with the customer service. I went in with a friend, and we were respectful, and quiet. There was almost no one else in the store, so it wasn't busy. We were scolded by an employee named Janya for moving a display, when it wasn't even us that moved it. When we checked out, she was rude and cold to my friend and I, for absolutely no reason. I usually don't leave reviews, but this experience was horrible, and not acceptable in a place of business.

There was a buy one get one 30% off sale and one of the employees offered to order a shirt they didn't have in my size online so I could get the sale. They could 't find the shirt, but they tried.

We visited opry mills to school shop for my kids and my daughter has entered a new style and wanted to go into hot topic. I cannot remember her name but there was a woman with big gauges in her ears, I want to say it started with a K, she was beyond amazing. So helpful and so nice. She informed me that I could sign up for emails and texts to receive an extra percentage off our order and considering the total of what we spent, it was MUCH appreciated. She was amazing.

Nice place with lots of printed tees I just think $40.00 is to much for a T-shirt but being A Tupac fan I have purchased a couple. But other than that it's a nice place with lots of choices for gifts. I may buy the Tupac watch from them soon

On 10/31/2024 I bought two pairs of socks during a BOGO 30% off sale at this Hot Topic location. One pair was $7.90 ($6.89 after discount) and the other was $5.90 ($5.14 after discount).
On 11/9/2024 I went back to exchange the $6.89 (originally $7.90) pair of socks for a different pair priced under $6.00
The cashier stated not knowing how to perform a return/exchange and proceeded to call the store manager. Unfortunately for me, the manager had no idea how to complete this type of transaction either.
She attempted to charge me $6.89 for a pair of socks that was under $6.00! To make both items the same value when they were clearly not.
I repeatedly told her that if it was easier for her to remove the prior discount, I gladly would pay for them regular price. It would have been around $5.90 each plus tax. I also told her that if it was this much trouble, I rather return that one pair and not buy the new one.
However, after long minutes arguing back and forth, she performed a transaction where I ended paying $6.89 for a pair of socks that were less than $6. I asked several times if I was going to receive a refund because of this new pair being of less value than the one I was returning. But it's been a month and I haven't received anything. 😝👎🧦

Kylie is hands down the most friendly employee I've ever met. On top of that she was knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
I highly recommend shopping here even if it's just to experience the customer service!

I dont even want to spend the time to write this because it's so long winded, but I'm hopeful that some customer service training can be done to make some improvements.Saturday my boyfriend and I went into the Opry Mills Hot Topic to exchange a shirt I had purchased at another location. The shirt was a women's fit that had been in the unisex section, so it since it wasn't unisex, it was way too small. No big deal, mistakes happen, I'll just return it since Opry Mills is closer to my location.I explain the mix up to the associate and told her we'll just look around and possibly exchange it. Immediately she began arguing with me that if it was in the unisex side, it was a unisex shirt, not a women's. Whatever, we talked away to look at the shirts. Then she comes back over with the shirt to tell me again that it's not a women's shirt that ALL of their anime shirts are unisex (not true). So I just say ok and keep looking. She keeps standing there and tells me we probably just don't know what size we needed and we should probably try the shirts on to figure it out. We were both literally wearing hot topic shirts, unisex size L. That's what we always buy. We have dozens and dozens. All unisex L.So we find a shirt to exchange. We go back to the register. The arguing continues. That we better try this shirt on so we know it's the right size. "Well, you said you don't have any women's fit anime shirts, so unless the unisex sizes aren't uniform, it should fit, right?" Instead of answering me, she decides to ask my boyfriend wha size shirt he's wearing. Funny for a few reasons. One, because I'm the one who bought it, two, because it was the size I told her we wear 20 times. That this point I decide to pull the shirt up on the hot topic website and decide to present it to the staff. What does it say? "BOYFRIEND FIT GIRLS SHIRT". I guess I wasn't lying or stupid. So then the manager chimes on that they would never put the women's shirts with the unisex shirts. Then I point out that they literally do. She said "oh well that's because it's on a display together. I bet that's what happened! " so I repeat, yet again, that it was on the unisex wall. They finally conceded and stayed doing my exchange. Then they make comments about how they are familiar with the shirt and hate it. So you KNEW it was a women's fit the whole time? Or you also assumed it was unisex? Which one? What should have happened: Sure, we can exchange this for you, no problem.

The store is too narrow and has so many things in it that you can't see. They need a bigger space. The online experience is hard to navigate to find what you are looking for while browsing.
