I was at a conference in Nashville and was staying at the Gaylord Opryland. My feet were hurting. I stopped by and found a pair of platform loafers and love love them. I have plantar fasciitis and makes my feet feel much better!!

Very disappointed to find out that Johnston & Murphy no longer repair their shoes. I purchased a pair of dress boots about 1.5 years ago and the zipper has malfunctioned. Quality is not as good as it used to be, but that is to be expected; however, I also expected that they would either repair free of charge, or even at a cost to me. I would recommend that you look at buying a similar looking knock off product that’s half of the price. I don’t think I will purchase from this company again.

Was open yesterday but not today? Not sure if the hours need to be updated or if they’re short staffed?

Had been given SoundWaves as a Christmas gift for the whole family (15). Am mobility challenged using a walker / cane and was told by one of my family member who has forensic there before me the closest parking was all the way over at Cascades. Too far go limp all the way to SoundWaves. Pulled in Cascades portico and was told the handicapped parking was in the self parking area to the right. Attempted to pull in and the ticket machine was not working, tried to use the telephone on the ticket machine and it would not work, so tried to pull out and try the other lane. In doing so, trying to back up in the narrow lane I ended up running into the yellow support pole doing damage to my car.
Decided that Opryland Gaylord Hotel is not set up for handicapped individuals like me. Before my unfortunate accident, I was already going to have to pay $33.00 for self parking in a handicapped space and another $50.00 to rent a scooter just to get all the across the hotel campus to enjoy SoundWaves with my family. Something I has really looked forward to. Now I am faced with hundreds of dollars of auto repair work fo replace a taillight and fix the rear bumper on my car. I just said forget it. My supposed to be fun family experience at SoundWaves has already costs or will cost me hundreds of dollars and then add on another minimum of almost 100.00 just to park and get there ? No Thanks.
Gaylor Opryland Hotel could take a lesson from The Cloister in Sea Island, where I stayed just before Thanksgiving. The staff there was so accommodating. One simple call to the front desk and someone would meet you and pick you up in a
golf cart at the closest place to your room drive you to the front check in area to get your car or take you to the beach club. The attention and service for someone who is mobility challenged made my stay extraordinarily enjoyable. Would go there again. Gaylord Opryland Hotel ? I won’t drive from Green Hills.

We desperately wanted to see the much hyped Gaylord during our stay in December and it's Christmas glory but were sadly unable to. Unless you are a guest in the hotel or have tickets to an event, you can't even park or get into the property to walk around, have a drink or dine in. We drove around the property trying to park for almost an hour without any luck. The website mentioned valet parking for $35 but the line for that was very long and no available self parking (which would have been $25 if we could have found a parking spot). Seems counterintuitive to discourage patrons from coming in that would spend money on food and beverage. Such a disappointment. especially with all the hype about seeing the decorations. If you plan to go, make a dinner reservation ahead of time or purchase tickets to another event and be prepared to wait in long valet lines and pay $35 just to park. I recommend finding a place nearby, parking your car and walking onto the grounds if you don't have tickets or dinner reservations.

Talk about GRAND! Lost for words, really. It's huge, hello 10k steps!! So many to see and yet so little time, I will be back in the near future. If you want a Christmas experience, you don't have to travel to Austria or Germany, this is your Christmas market

Ambiance was lovely, decorations for the holiday season breath taking. Had been to annual professional conference 15 years ago in the summer. It was breath taking then and more so with a friend.

Visited two days after Xmas with 4 kids, one in a stroller. Overall not a bad scene to check out. You will pay $36 for parking and another $60ish for 4 tickets (children 3 and under are free) for the boat ride. Let’s start with the good; it’s huge with plenty of activities that you can enjoy as a family for a few like the boat ride or chariot ride, tons of food options that open at various times, plenty of gift shops, and beautiful gardens and waterfalls all decked out with lights for Xmas. The bad; it is supper crowded and knowing how to traverse the different atriums can be challenging. Also there are tons of steps or escalators but finding elevators close to them is a nuisance for sure. Some elevators can take a while bc of how crowded this place can be. A lot of the activities can sell out in advance so hard to fully enjoy unless you preplanned your visit. Also expense for what you get - not great value. Overall not a bad outing but doesn’t rank high on the to-do list.

Ok, I admit it: we weren't guests of the hotel. We wanted to gawk at the Christmas decorations and have dinner. I had seen the extravagant decorations a couple of times before, but was just a tad disappointed this time. I don't know if we missed some areas or if some areas (like the conservatory) just weren't quite as lavishly decorated as in previous years. We enjoyed the beautiful hotel atriums and decorations which is good because we paid handsomely to park in the hotel parking lot.

We enjoy this beautiful place with gardens and decorations. We love to come each yr. This is for walkers so beware if you are weak or walking with a cane. There were lots of older people with canes the day I was there and I wondered how they would make the long walk. I am a strong walker. It’s a busy and beautiful place with benches to rest. You will get your walking in!
