Worst Kroger you can go to - staff doesn’t care, stock is low, dirty

I had the absolute worst experience of my life being a black woman, literally going to the grocery store to feed my family.
I arrived at my neighborhood Krogers at 9:06 P.M.
As soon as I entered the foyer to grab a cart I was greeted by the manager whom walked right past me, no customer service or hospitality which I am familiar with, since I am a server and deal with different ethnics and backgrounds of people on a daily basis. I figured maybe he was tired or had a hectic day being that it is almost closing time. I preceded to shopping not thinking much more of what occurred and I turn around to put an item in my cart and he is staring at my husband & I which I thought was odd but once again continued on shopping.
Ever aisle I went down he would be walking past looking but never said anything, you could say it was a coincidence but fast forward to us checking out; he stood by the customer service desk diagonal to where we was checking out to make sure we were scanning each item, then walked over to the self checkout lane on the other side of us and was still staring at us.
At this point we are just trying to hurry up and leave because we were both feeling uncomfortable and profiled.
When we were done shopping thinking we were safe from the abuse we had just witnessed.
He literally waited in the foyer where the shopping carts are until our Uber came and walked off once we had got in the car.
I will never return to this location and makes me wonder if this is someone that Krogers would approve of representing their company.

Very convenient location to shop and the employees are friendly. My issue is with stock. Frequently items advertised in their weekly flyer just aren't available. If it's an advertised item, it should be available and have sufficient quantities. Sorry Hillsboro I may have to switch stores.

Great for quick shopping visits! Accessible through city WeGo transport bus. Cheaper than other grocery store chains, and also has good quality products.

The Kroger store location on 21st doesn't carry dry Parmesan cheese but has an entire aisle devoted to spaghetti. Kroger needs to do better. I'm putting my groceries back and will purchase my groceries from Wal-Mart. This is inconvenient and illogical.
Update: They now carry Dry Parmesan. Also, the elevator is now working, enabling disabled persons to get to the second floor. The employees still don't know where most things are, so I upgraded my 1 star to 4 stars.

So many times I had expired food such a terrible time. One time I got milk that was expired 3 months.

Easily one of the nicest Krogers in Nashville. It is well stocked, well organized, cleans doesn’t feel like a K-Mart, and the staff is exceptionally nice.
Even though it’s on the outskirts of Hillsboro, away from the village, it’s fairly small, like an urban grocery store. But it’s also in the Hillsboro neighborhood, so it’s nice to have a legit grocery store rather than a small market.
There is plenty of parking in the middle of the day.
The only drawback is that, because it is small, they often don’t have everything a larger Kroger would have. That means that I sometimes have to go to another grocery store to finish up my shopping when this Hollsboro Kroger doesn’t have what I need. That being said, for the items they do have, it’s much more well stocked than larger Krogers.

This has been the Kroger I frequent for several years now until tonight. I went through self checkout. No one was paying attention and normally I see people choose one side of the other. Normally forming two lines. I saw an open register and went for it after noticing that everyone was having a conversation. An employee hollered for me to step back so another customer could check out. That was embarrassing and unnecessary. I already have a social anxiety and I’ve never been hollered at while shopping here. I’m not coming back. That’s not just a comment or an attempt at anything beneficial to myself. This is the closest Kroger to me but I’m willing to visit a different one going forward.

This location has continued to go downhill in both selection and service, while prices have gone up more than other stores.
The frozen items I purchased did not survive my trip home because I had to sit around for so long waiting for the employee to come over and clear the self checkout. Not because it was malfunctioning, it just now accuses you of being a thief if you don't do the right dance for the camera. Shop somewhere that doesn't assume the customers are ripping them off as much as they're ripping you off.

I'm writing this review to share my disappointment that this Kroger does not have any standard-sized shopping carts with child seats. I came in to shop with an 18-month-old and had to leave because he couldn't ride safely in the smaller carts.
Otherwise, this Kroger is a find grocery store at a convenient location! I would love to shop here if they could accommodate my child.

I noticed something about one of the Kroger store clerks in particular, at this location.
I am leaving this message at 11:08AM July 7, 2024 having made my purchase and just left the store at 10:43AM.
I was in the store before this morning, an early day of last week. As I had just checked out in one of the self checkout units, I got my bags and was headed out the store. All of a sudden almost out of nowhere this clerk, older female, walked close enough near me, in the same direction that we could have collided. That didn’t happen but was too close for comfort.
The issue and irony of this is that while I was there just this morning, the exact same thing occurred, in the exact same way, with each party walking in the exact same direction/s. However, she stopped well ahead of time for this other customer, exchanged some pleasantries with him, let him pass by and Theeen she proceeded to walk forward to do what she was doing.
So from a business and customer perspective she obviously knows protocol. Which only ledads me to believe that she made a personal choice to handle it the way she did when I was in-store. This is how collisions, altercations and such happen. It surely even seemed to me that she may have even timed it when I was in-store, for it to happen that way, for whatever her reason could have been. Who really knows. But for the mere fact that this morning with another customer she made the choice to stop well ahead of time and let them pass by is Evidence enough for me that there was some kind of personal motivation going on within her in my case.
However, hopefully management or someone will make her aware of this if for some reason she isn’t, to govern herself appropriately from a business/customer service manner at work. And hopefully out and about away from the workplace and in public, the appropriate behavior would carry over.
Sincerely,

The staff were polite. But I had to go upstairs (I'm disabled and can't dovthe stairs) to the pharmacy to get a nail file, then back downstairs to pay for it.. Good thing I'm an honest person! Not the usual Kroeger...

Came for a grocery pickup pulled up and was told that they hadn't even started on my order yet, I sat in the parking lot for an hour and 20 minutes before my groceries were brought out to me and when they were they just told me they were flat out of seven items I had ordered, instead of the usual replacement they just told me "we don't have it is that okay?" After a total of an HOUR AND 45 MINUTES I was offered $5 off my next trip, serious go to any other grocery store besides this big chain with horrible management and little to no staff
