This store is always so clean and organized. As well as pretty well stocked. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a very well ran store. I love their deals and fuel points. Every little bit saved matters.

I LOVE Kroger in Madison! Very clean and organized shelves. Lots of selection with off brand and brand name items. Their meats are fantastic and dairy is the best! (They have Purity milk) The staff is always super friendly!

The service desk is NEVER open. I understand that they are probably understaffed, but this is a every other day thing.

Leta was great and is the only reason they are getting 3 stars. Who ever the manager is needs to get his meat dept in order the guy running it tonight 12/17 was unfriendly and said they don’t cut ribeye roasts which is a lie. Every other Kroger I’ve ever been to they will cut it for you. I’ve even had them cut it at this Kroger. I don’t know what his name is but that guy is not a team player. This store always looks like it’s about to snow picked over and filthy. Do better! I only go to this one if it’s a dire emergency.

The people at the registers and the self checkout line are awesome always very helpful and always smiling now the front desk always very miserable when you walk up the line you can see nothing but like disappointment or they don't really want to wait on you half the time is closed so if I was a manager I would talk to the employees that worked the front counter and explain to them their job position and what all it is and if they're not interested in doing it there's tons of people looking for work everyday

This Kroger is about as mid as any other Kroger, but this one has a fun twist. If you can actually find what you need in this store and have finally gotten through the self-checkout line (a result of them keeping maybe a third of the kiosks open at any given time), you then have to contend with the stupidest anti-theft system ever created. Swipe your hand the wrong way, set something down in the wrong place, scan things too quickly - suddenly you are placed in checkout jail and confronted with a blurry video of yourself doing nothing wrong while you wait for an employee to notice you and come by to scrutinize the video and clear it away. Since they installed this system it’s held me up on the majority of trips in the store, and I notice it happening to other patrons every single time I shop there. Employees checking my ID have even set it off.I at least have to confess that I am impressed Kroger found a way to make self-checkout worse than it already was, so nice job. The end result is that I now find myself spending the extra 5-10 minutes driving to one of the half dozen other grocers nearby for the majority of my shopping - you are probably better off doing so too!

The customer service at the store is mind blowing. The employee Melisa doesn’t seem to like African Americans. I came to this store on 9-26-23. I bought sever items on sale. I checked out. The sodas were on sale for .99. I was charged $2.99 each. I went to customer service. I showed her my receipt. She had an attitude as usual. I got back $10. I put my stuff in my car. I was asking myself y was my total almost $70 for soda chips & .99 can goods. I looked at my receipt I was over charged almost $20 for chips. I went back to customer service. I showed her the receipt again. She asked me were they on sale, I said yes. She asked if I bought 4 bags, I said yes. She said NO you didn’t. She asked did I down load the coupon. I said yes & showed her on my cell phone.Another employee looked at my receipt. She said yes he did. Me & the other employee went to were the chips were. She seen they were on sale. We showed her my receipt 4 times to tell her I bought 4 bags. At that time the other employee took over. I have complained about Mrs. Melisa 3 times in the past. How she’s still at the front desk is mind blowing. To go trough all of this at a grocery store?? I’ve called to speak with the store manager. They never seem to be available?

The lady at customer service would not honor the scan right guarantee or it's free Policy. The lady that checked me out would not reduce the price to the price Shown where I picked it up at in store.I called Kroger corporate office. They gave me my five dollars and said Scan write guarantee policy or it's free is still in effect.

Carolyn, the nice lady who usually worked self-checkout, will be sorely missed. She was a rare gem who actually made shopping at this particular Kroger's enjoyable. She took the time to get to know the customers..even asked about my son every time she saw me. She was like "everybody's Mama"- a real sweet lady. Nothing else about the Madison location is worth it. It was a mistake letting her go.

Crowded as usual. Aisles are a little too narrow. Many brands available. Products are easy to locate. Fast friendly checkout for very busy store.

Their online orders are never successful. Something is always "out of stock" even though it shows to be in stock on the app. We are always disappointed to receive our bags missing major items. I don't think we've ever received a complete order.

Edit to update that I went back today to try again. Still closed.Never anyone in the deli, lights all on and no one shows up. Turn the lights off if the person “left early” like I was told today.

This store is absolutely horrible. There are homeless outside begging, the staff are rude and treat their paying customers like they are criminals and the store itself is always half stocked, there is outdated food on the shelves, the customer service desk is consistently closed. The store itself is filthy and has a sewage smell. Avoid this place at all costs

There is always a line of cars PARKED in the fire lane and Kroger nor their security do anything about it. God's forbid there is ever a fire in that store.

I purchased a tampered gift card from this location and lost $355. The store is taking no responsibility even though they sold me a fraudulent gift card. These could be locked up behind the counter and ordered from a catalog to prevent this. I ended up not getting what I paid for. They happily took my activation fee, but left me with no product.
