Definitely a two-star hotel as advertised. However, the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. I had a fresh made waffle, toast, and apple juice. The room was okay but I did notice a few things that didn’t get vacuumed / swept from prior customers. Bathroom curtain had mold and so did the ceiling and I could tell they tried to paint over the ceiling mold and it just grew again. Shower had plenty of hot water, I took multiple showers and that’s something I did like. The main thing I didn’t like is only two light bulbs in the room worked. No ceiling light bulbs, which is fine, but the lamps lacked bulbs (not even joking) except for one by the bed. When it was time to checkout, I noticed their phone in the room didn’t even work. Overall, decent stay and I got what I paid for.

Awful experience. Smelly musty room, dirty in general, Clogged bathroom sink drain, no plug for the bathtub(I used a rag) dirty comforter, dirty fan blades, NO pillows or blankets for the pull out couch...the front desk person offered me TOWELS as blankets and pillows for my kids and shrugged his shoulders when I said that's all you have? ??♀️ It was like 0 degrees, we were stranded there from the snow or else we would've moved hotels. The ONLY good thing was the Cracker Barrel and Waffle House next door as well as the location to the highway. This hotel does not take these reviews seriously....if they did they would be hiring better cleaners and people doing the maintenance. My husband and I both have worked in hospitality for years, from being cleaners, to maintenance to management. I know for a fact the owner and manager ignore all these terrible reviews because the hotel is still making money so why would they care?? Every room should be fully inspected and deep cleaned, especially being a prime location off the highway. A super good clean would shoot the ratings up in no time.

I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn and Suites in Nashville, Tennessee, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The cleanliness of the rooms left much to be desired. Upon entering my room, I immediately noticed stains on the carpet and a musty smell in the air. The bathroom was also not up to par, with dirty grout and a lack of attention to detail in the cleaning. To make matters worse, during my stay, I encountered a dead cockroach in the bathroom. This was not only unsightly but also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness and pest control measures at the hotel.I understand that no hotel is perfect, but these issues were significant enough to impact my overall experience. I hope that the management takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve the cleanliness and maintenance of the rooms. On a positive note, the staff at the hotel were friendly and accommodating, which was a small consolation amidst the disappointing room conditions.Overall, I cannot recommend La Quinta Inn and Suites in Nashville based on my experience. I would advise potential guests to consider other options in the area that prioritize cleanliness and maintenance."Rooms: Horrible

I have never seen a dirtier hotel room in my life. We were going to stay for 3 nights, but only stayed for one due to the filth. The front desk staff were nice, but the grounds and room were beyond gross. Don't stay here if you have other options.Rooms: Pure filth.

I don’t expect a lot from a cheap room at a low-end chain (my husband booked it for me while I was driving), but this place was uninhabitable. The smell in the room was horrific. Others have mentioned mildew and smoking, but the smell went beyond that. Like, maybe mildew and smoking, but the rooms have also been hosed down with ammonia? Some other caustic chemical? I don’t think you could spend very long in that smell without getting sick. I switched rooms, but the second room also smelled. The clerk issued a refund and I checked in at a different hotel. The clerk was very helpful. I got the feeling that he is used to having to issue refunds. It was also old and gross and not super clean, there was marker writing on various walls, and lots of people milling around in the parking lot and outside their rooms at 11 PM on a Wednesday night, but those details pale in comparison to the smell.Noteworthy details: Terrible smell. Dirty, old, graffiti, seemed unsafe.

It took 3 tries to get a semi decent room. No phones! Shoddy cleaning. The breakfast was nice make your own waffles, good coffee! Sausage patties with a touch of spicy excellent! But don't drink the apple juice unless you want to be drunk! It's old!! I can't tell you about the orange juice, I was too afraid to try it. The bagels and chocolate muffins and blueberry ones were so good. Good fresh milk and a choice of cereal we're at hand. The place was full despite missing the mark on some important things.

I wish I had paid attention to the reviews. There's no working outside lighting, so I couldn't find my room very easily. While searching, rooms had the doors open letting the smell of cigarettes and pot drift outside. Then I had to change rooms because the lock was broken. The only good thing I can say is that the room was clean. The exterior, however, is run down and unlit. Walking at night around the hotel is not easy because there are so many unpainted curbs and uneven paved areas. This hotel gives La Quinta a bad name.

The room is old and needs refurbished for sure. But sadly enough, I couldn’t tell if it was really clean or just old. On the bathroom floor are paint droplets that are white on the gray flooring that makes it look dirty. I know it’s painted because I got on the floor with a wash cloth and tried to clean it myself. The wash cloth was black from wiping the floor!Obviously not wiped down very often. we had reservations for a king size bed on an upper floor and ended up with double beds on the ground floor. We used to love staying in La Quinta but it’s so disappointing finding a place like this. Isn’t there a standard that must be met to retain franchise?Noteworthy details: Not a place I would stay ever again.

Do not make the same mistake we made - listen to the reviews. This is the worst lodging I’ve had. My partner and I are moving across the country and road tripping, so we thought we could handle any place for one night. Well, we were proven wrong. The first bad thing we noticed when we arrived was the bed sheets were visibly soiled. And I’m not talking set stains - it looked like someone had just eaten in the bed and there were grease stains as well as a black mark. Then, the floors were disgusting and not even swept - there was dirt in every corner. The shower wouldn’t drain and backed up past my ankles when I tried to shower. And the *smell*. It was a mix of residual smoking and mildew, made worse by the pool (which isn’t operable) smell permeating the room. We switched rooms once (given the bed sheets and the bathtub). We hoped the next room would be better. It looked cleaner but our experience did not improve. The part that made us check out early and with swiftness was that we both began experiencing respiratory problems within a few minutes of being there. My partner was coughing and we both felt foggy and like we were coming down with something. After leaving our symptoms immediately improved. When we went to the front desk they agreed not to charge us the days we didn’t stay since we checked out early. They were neither apologetic nor surprised by concerns, but at least they were helpful. The only redeeming quality is how close the Waffle House is.I saw some reviews where people mentioned roaches. We did not experience that but it would not surprise me. This place made me want to crawl out of my skin. Our other LaQuinta experiences have been fine but this one made us rebook our LaQuinta stays for the rest of the road trip because it completely changed our perspective of the brand.

this hotel was absolutely disgusting. the pictures are so inaccurate. we got to our room, and it smelled like mold, mildew, and weed. there were roaches and bugs, dead and alive all over the room. there was rust and dirt on the door hinges, and the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in days. there was dirt, hair, and mold on the walls, the floor, and the door. there was a heavy smell of marijuana in the air on the way to our room, and the pool is absolutely disgusting. do not come here!! it is a waste of time and money.Rooms: disgusting in every waySafety: did not look safe at all; suspicious people all over, the smell of weed was everywhere, and overall very sketchy

If I could I would rate this place 0 stars it was pure hell staying here. It took half an hour just to get some towels, the staff was rude, there was broken glass everywhere outside, the room was filthy, the keys kept not working like they would just stop working and it wasn't just me having this problem lots of others were as well. There were cigarette burns all over the shower, the toilet barely works, they don't give you enough body care products to last more then a day and the beds are horribly

We had an awful experience. NEVER come here!! It smells like mold and mildew. We asked for extra towels and never received them; we never got any wash cloths. We went to the office and spoke with the general manager asking for these things and new sheets bc the room had an unbearable smell. Nothing was done to accommodate our needs. As we were leaving, we saw a cart full of towels!!! I've never had a worse experience somewhere. Definitely visit Nashville, but DO NOT STAY HERE!!!Noteworthy details: NASTY SMELL!!!!

I dislike giving negative or fair reviews, but it needs to be addressed.Check in was very smooth, and the front desk was friendly. We had a room on the second floor. Just for anyone who might need this information: A lot of stairs and no elevator that I could see.The soda machine I saw had the door wide open and was non-functioning.When we walked into the room, it looked tidy, but upon further inspection, there was a lot of filth. The kind of filth that would easily be remedied by just taking a Lysol or Clorox wipe to it.Which is exactly what I did. People can be gross, so I always bring a small travel size packet of Lysol wipes with me when I go to hotels.I wipe the obvious things like the remote to the TV, light switches, the phone, etc. However, the closet door had something all over it brown in colour. I don't know if it was puke, soda, or coffee. Either way, it was very obvious, nothing that Lysol wipe couldn't fix.But I shouldn't have to be the one making the room more enjoyable by cleaning the obvious dirt and grime.I have before and after pictures, so you can see what I mean.I had to clean the base of lamps, the door handles, the AC controls were absolutely filthy, and I forgot to take a before picture of that one, and other various surfaces on the walls and doors. It just seems like something so easy to do.This is going to sound strange, but one of my pillows smelled like the pillowcase had not been washed. I can't describe the smell. It didn't smell bad but it didn't smell like it been washed either. It smelt slept on. I don't know how to explain it.I will say that I did not have any issues with noise in the beds were pretty comfortable. We were in town for the Pink Summer Carnival Tour and the venue was just six minutes away so that is why I booked this particular place. Plus, the price was good for one night.Since we were just using it to sleep and shower, I would probably go back there in a pinch, but they really need to talk to their housekeeping about wiping down obvious stains and surfaces. Not just the basics of bedding, bathroom cleaning, etc.Upon check out, I stood there for a good 3-5 minutes with no one at the desk. Only a girl putting out the food who's attention I finally got. I could've done quick check out, but I needed a receipt for the trip.Overall, it was doable, but obvious filth and dirt could be easily remedied.

This was to be a great value option.Location was ok-ish too get to airport, but more cumbersome for downtown.Waffle breakfast was good, and building would improve with some maintenance.A more affordable price balanced for all this. However, we had bedbugs issues that were not attended properly. We requested a room change (after realized problem was not attended - full day), but that had humidity issues that we were not in the mood to withstand. So we left.I was told I am finally being charged for the night I could not sleep there due to checkout later than 6pm. Which is "ok" with their rules, but I disagree because the problem was on their side.(Sorry for the gross picture)

Hotel guaranteed with a credit card, yet they canceled my reservation because I did not arrive by 11pm (I could not find anything on their website warningabout this process). They called at 1109pm, left no message. I called back at 1123pm. Was told that the first 130 people to arrive get the rooms and that I was out of luck. Never have I ever heard of something like this! Why guarantee with a credit card if they are going to cancel the reservation?First thing Monday morning will be a call to Wyndham corporate.
