I’d say this store is just alright, went in there about a month ago and the workers are very… stand off-ish and not like mac workers of the past, one actually complained about a previous customer to me. Plus Mac doesn’t make employees pass courses with different levels of makeup application anymore. now mac employees are taught to be salespeople not makeup artists. So I wouldn’t expect high quality information coming from these people they hire ANYONE nowadays. Lastly this isn’t a pro store so it doesn’t have everything which is stupid cause it’s the only MAC standalone store in middle tennesee. Hope they make it a pro store eventually.

I had never shopped at an actual mac store before, mostly because I'm not very experienced in makeup, and I get so nervous going in places like that (I have no idea what I'm looking at). BUT the employees in there were so nice! I just picked up a fix + and one of those tinted lip balms (I am a sucker for tinted balms), and they were so sweet and helpful.

This is my first time in a mac store/stand alone area and it did not disappoint. The makeup artist Malynta, helped me out with everything i needed from foundation to what eyeliner would make my eyes pop more. This has made my first time there unforgettable. excellent customer service on top of being the only one on the floor for M.A.C while helping 5 customers that were looking for product. She is a very special human being! She most definitely deserves a raise for her commitment to this job and beautiful personality!and if she see this.Malynta, Keep up the great work!! thank you for your help!

I took my daughter and her girl friends to get their make up done for her sweet 16th birthday and they absolutely had a blast! We had the best experience ever!

I made makeup reservations for a special event and got a MUA named Kay Kay. She was nice but seemed new and didn’t have the level of skill I had been used to from MAC. When I made the reservation, I was told to bring an inspiration picture. I brought something that was pretty simple, soft glam. The MUA stated it was an easy look, and started on my eyes. She seemed confused by basic techniques and colors, and I had her to remove my eye make up twice because it was so terrible. The store manager, Zoey, ended up taking over from Kay Kay and did better but it still wasn’t great. By the time I left, I have been at the store nearly 3 hours for a 30-45 minute appointment. I was rushed for time, so I got dressed for my event without really looking at the makeup. As I took pictures, I noticed my makeup in the pictures was horrible and aged me at least 10 years. The foundation was grey meaning the MUA did not match my undertones appropriately. She also did not blend down my neck so it looked like I was wearing a grey mask.The eyeshadow was also not blended and the lip color looked ashy. I was mortified that my makeup was so bad for my event. I will not go back.

We called ahead and planned a makeup application and product purchase for my daughter’s birthday. The customer service was fantastic, my daughter felt so special and confident and we wanted to say thanks. Our artist Rose explained products and application techniques while also helping other customers make their purchases. When the other artist came in, she was just as kind and helpful. Customer service is so hard to find right now, but Rose and Taleah (sp) made our time special and we really appreciated our experience.

Friendly, friendly, friendly and helpful! Definitely do NOT come across that much these days, especially in that particular part of Nashville. Bravo!

Disaster experience. Barely anyone works here at this point. Vulgar sales person who claimed she was the manager was rude to my wife. I had heard things I won’t bring up in this forum but I was shocked at how inconsiderate she was towards us. I’m not sure if anyone still works here. Strongly avoid. This person was a brunette with a tattoo sleeve.

I came to this Mac store because I needed more concealer. I am definitely not a makeup person. I had a wonderful young lady helping me out, matching me for the right mix of concealer and color corrector. I remember using a specific one and she was matching me to different ones, so she called over Talaria (sorry if I spelled her name wrong) to help her out. Talaria was AMAZING. She explained my undertone to both the young lady and I. she gave her recommendations of which products I should be using. Her recommendations aligned to the items I had previously been using. She also stopped to take the time out to explain how and where I should be putting the product. She asked me if I wanted a full demonstration of how to do my face. The level of service I received with Talaria was outstanding. She went far above and beyond anything that I expected. She is a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate her taking the time to not only speak to me but to answer all my questions. I definitely took her up on some of her other recommendations. I wish that I could have taken her back to Fl with me so that I could visit her anytime. As a woman of color, being matched with something that doesn't align with my skin tone is always a concern for me. If you are ever truly in need and in the area, I would recommend stopping by and visiting Talaria. She will truly give you her undivided attention regardless of how little or how much you're spending.
