I come here often, living nearby. They have essential tools for arts of different kinds, and usually suggest discounts and coupons, or have sales that benefit the artist's budget to go further in this economy.
For an update though.. there's quite a lot of patrons who come off as racist at this location. It's as if 1. The staff treat you differently because I'm black. Or 2. Their customers are rude and low key racist because I'm black, and they expect that the only colored people there must be a worker. I hope that they can change that so everyone has a nice shopping experience.

Maria with the last minute save for the 120 plastic Champaign flutes an hour before closing on NYE. She made my job so much easier! That employee is efficient and quick along with a great amount of customer service. Serious MVP! Happy New Year!

If I could leave zero stars I would! Never use the same day delivery service! I placed an order on Sunday. And its Tuesday and an uber driver had to search through the store to try and find my items with no luck! The store wont pick up the phone. Trust me I tried 10 times! Now not only do I have to find my product again... I have to be inconvenienced by going down there! And try to figure out how to cancel the order! Not worth it!

They usually have what I need for my last-minute projects. The checkout was pretty smooth, especially since there are self checkouts now.

I have never encountered such rudeness and unprofessionalism as I did at Michael’s store location. The supervisor, Peggy, was shockingly unprofessional, dismissive, and entirely unhelpful. I was returning an unused item that didn’t work for me, and their policy clearly allows for returns.
The employee assisting me, Angela, first accused me of trying to return an item that wasn’t from the store—even though I had just purchased it there an hour earlier. She struggled to process the return and repeatedly asked Peggy for help. Peggy, instead of assisting, became visibly irritated every time she was approached. She would throw up her hands as if she couldn’t do anything, standing next to a cart and doing minimal tasks while blatantly ignoring the situation. Her attitude was not only unprofessional but entirely useless.
Another supervisor eventually stepped in and tried to help by offering store credit or suggesting I drop the item off at a fire department, though neither option worked for me. At least she made an effort. But Peggy, instead of supporting the supervisor’s attempt to resolve the issue, rudely interrupted and snapped, “You can’t just give a customer what she wants.” It was clear Peggy was more interested in making the process difficult than finding a fair solution.
What made this even worse is that I spent nearly an hour in the store trying to resolve this issue while visiting from out of town. I had plans to attend a birthday party and ended up being late because of this ordeal. By the end of it, I was in tears—stressed, frustrated, and completely disappointed.
Peggy’s behavior was unacceptable, and I have reported this to the district manager. This experience has ensured I will never shop at this location again.

I'm sure Michael's is great if you are looking for crafting supplies. I was looking for cloth and the selection was very meager. I ended up leaving and going to Joann's instead. If you are a quilter or seamstress I suggest you go there.

The two workers behind the counter were fighting over who ate the other’s food. Loudly. One of the women called the other a “heifer”. I proceeded to stand in line, their customers had cleared at this point, and was told “if you’re paying with card use self check out” - which I had already tried to do, but the computer prompted me to “sign up” which I wasn’t interested in. So I said “it’s asking for an account” and the woman proceeded to turn her back to me and fan herself…

Do not go here. The cashier forgot to give us several of the items we bought. I had to go back to the store and realized that I still had missing items. I called the store several times and no one picked up to take my call. Horrible customer service.

I needed to pickup an order today from this store which is 30 minutes from my home so I thought I would shop around first while I was here. I ended up looking around for an hour and a half or more and found several more things I wanted to buy. I was going to exchange a few of the things I was picking up and purchase the rest. After waiting at the checkout counter for quite a while, an employee finally comes up there and rudely asks if there was something they could help me with. I explained what I wanted to do and she tells me they have had problems with the registers all day and there was nothing she could do. She acted as if i should have known what was going on. I was going to just go ahead and pay for everything I picked up since I couldn’t exchange anything but their kiosks only take credit/debit card so I wasted an hour and a half for nothing. Then I was treated so rudely on top of it! There should have been something posted on the door if the registers weren’t working but there wasn’t. Very impressed with the store selection but after what I experienced today makes me not want to come back to this store!
