I work internationally and this was my go to shop for years. I've had a box for years. Thier policy is to cancel after 30 days of not picking up comics; however, I had informed everyone of my situation with travel so they would call if I went over the 30 days. I would tell them when I would be back in town and they held my books. After this working well for years my box was cancelled without a call. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere as I hold customer relationships in higher regard than blindly following company policy.

We were in Nashville for a conference and stumbled upon Rick's Comic City. The selection in the store was wonderful, including a freshly-traded-in run of Fear Agent by Rick Remender. We were glad to get our hands on this excellent series, and enjoyed conversing with the friendly staff in the store. Rick himself was even in the store and spoke highly of the series we purchased, and we joked back that he has great taste. The price was good for what we purchased as well, making the experience even better. Thanks, Rick, and team, for the great addition to the trip to Nashville! We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

Unfortunatly, like most comic shops these days, Rick's isn't really about comics. Though they're pretty up front about that. Toys and other nostalga is the name of the game and they're good at it. Lot's of fun and unusual things to see and buy here. If you want the latest issue of a comic they're sure to have it, but the back issues are not a place to find what you're looking for.

I just visited ricks comic city and met Rick myself. He was a super nice guy and gave me a deal on my comics. I will be back for sure. He’s very knowledgeable and very kind.

I’ve never had such a fun, easy time buying someone a gift. Ricks is a gem that everyone should check out. They have so many options for whatever you’re looking for in the world of comics and more. Thank you all for making this an interaction I’ll remember forever.

So glad we have a comic shop like Rick's here in Nashville, they are awesome! Large selection of comics, always something new, lots of posters and collectibles, friendly staff.

Now that I've been to this location many times since that initial review it seemed like an update was in order as well as an upgrade to 5 stars.I'm now here about once a month--though I'll never go back to a pull-list as extensive as the one I had in my early 20s at the height of my comic geekdom, a few current titles I don't want to miss led me to set up a box again however slight (no more than 3 monthly titles at a time, primarily the excellent "Saga"). Every month I'm in to pick up those books I snag a trade paperback or two (nice discount on those) as well as a random other title or back issue (or three). I genuinely love this comic shop as I haven't loved a comic shop in many years. It's a top 3 for me, maybe a top 2 (and I've shopped at dozens and been a subscriber in at least 6 shops over the years). I actually go out of my way to visit Rick's as I could make it to at least 2 other places in Nashville that sell new comics in less time and hassle than the trek out to Rick's entails. But the thought of going into some of those when I can instead visit a well organized, fully stocked, and friendly environment comic shop like this one quickly warrants the drive. One big bonus Rick's has? They're actually open a decent schedule. A few of their competitors make it actively difficult to shop as they're closed practically every time I think about stopping in whereas Rick's are open more days, for longer hours, at decent times. Anyway--if you're up for comics, collectibles, graphic novels, and/or manga I can't think of a better place than Rick's for all of the above reasons as well as those detailed in my previous review.

Rick’s Comic City is the reason I’m still buying physical copies of my comic books instead of digital. The staff makes it easy to find comics I want. Plus their selection of toys great too. Rick and team are super people to talk to. You can tell they are fans of what they are selling and it’s not just about the money for them.
