Nashville's 2nd OLDEST MEN'S CLOTHING STORE CONTINUOUSLY IN BUSINESS! It's become a "best kept/well known secret" to the local yokels. Absolutely the best prices and sincerely friendly customer service. Only a clueless ignorant tourist would fail to shop at Sam's after reading this review. Truly a hidden jewel, but in plain sight, conveniently located in downtown Nashville, not far from the ripp-off tourist traps on Lower Broadway.

We literally drive all the way from St Louis Mo to shop here because there selection of fun blazers is the best around. We go here multiple times a year every time we have an event coming up and they never disappoint. If you do find yourself in Nashville stop in and check them out and make sure you ask for Dot Woods because she pulls out all the stops to really create a full experience every single time. She literally makes you feel like you’re the only customer in the store!!

Perhaps one of the most fun shopping experiences of my life!!! It was kind of like Pretty Woman. My husband and I were rather disappointed with shops on Broadway, we just couldn't find anything really special that wasn't super expensive. We saw Sam's while walking back to our hotel and decided to pop in hoping to find a shirt for my husband. While it looked like it was mainly men's clothing, the sequin jackets caught my eye and with the encouragement of an amazing salesperson I decided to give one a try. It fit PERFECT! I was then guided by this incredible person to a 3-way mirror to "experience the magic" that they were seeing. WOW!! It was like it was made for me. I felt like a bride because we were both just so amazed how perfect it was. This is the kind of magic you see someone with the star power of like Brandi Carlile wearing at the Grammy's. Super high quality but completely affordable and with a tailored fit. So affordable I also got my husband a really nice western shirt. Everyone in the shop was just so friendly and helpful. They also gave me this really cool flashlight so I could remember the shop's name. (Like I'd ever forget.) Wore it walking around the hotel and people stopped me to admire it. I really felt like Julia Roberts walking into the Regent Beverly Wilshire after finally having a successful shopping experience on Rodeo Drive. You have to stop in here if you're in the area. You just do not know what kind of magical find is waiting for you. I know this will always be my first stop anytime I'm back in Nashville.

This place is simply amazing. When you walk in the door you are greeted by the gentleman behind the check out counter. Stan and his brother, Bernie, are the owners of this gem and are always there. The store is second generation this the name of the store is Sam's, their fathers name. As you stroll through the store, you get overwhelmed with the variety of shoes, shirts, blazers, pants...you name it. Then I met a salesperson, Dot. I mean, an amazing woman who made me feel at home, no pressure sales, but makes you feel at home. She kept up with my purchases and put things back that didn't fit or what have you. Bought myself several shirts, shoes, fun fedoras, and of course cowboy hats and sassy sport coats. Just fun clothes!! Even found some more traditional shirts including one that is New Orleans saints colors (my hometown). I have Dot's card and she offered to FaceTime with me as she can be my personal shopper. I've never experienced such a pleasant and fun shopping excursion. Lastly, we were staying a couple of blocks away for the CMA festival. I went back three times to echo se one thing but also to shop more. I recruited my husband and some girlfriends to join me. We all left with smiles and bags of new clothes. Go there!

I went in here on a whim needing a sports coat. I was greeted within seconds and asked if I needed any help. Not only were the associates VERY helpful, they were also funny and easy to talk with! The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable and fair.I HIGHLY recommend Sam's Clothing & Shoes.

Great store! Lots of variety and selection. There’s a lot of unique things that you’re not able to find anywhere else. Dot is wonderful and found us all kinds of cool stuff to try on. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great prices

A wonderful Stumble upon and I’m right at home thanks to a great sales lady , helpful but not hovering. Frankly, I walked by the display window on my explorations and had to go in. I might have to go back for a superb sale rack sequined sportscoat but today I left with bright red denim jeans at a great price.
