If I could give zero starsI would. I went to market on Saturday got home and I had a bag of bad, brown, and bug eaten greens. Smiley's should be ashamed of selling a bushel of bad Turnip greens for $22. I wasted gas and money. Do better!

I bought a bushel of turnip greens and when I got them home they were the worst greens I have ever bought. My turnip greens looked old, discolored, and full of bug holes. I threw alot of them away. I was tempted to not even cook them due to the inevitable bitterness. Instead I salvaged all I could and gave it a try. I could have done better at the grocery store; twenty- two dollars out the window. Now I must re-shop and start over. I will go to the grocery store so I can see what I am getting next time. The photos do not even include the purple leaves and rotted stems.

The turnip greens I bought, a bushel, were the worst I've ever purchased!! And I usually tell others to purchase from Smiley's.. They look like what is left over after the good grand are picked.

I heard about a "TURNIP FESTIVAL" on my local news and when I got to the market THERE WAS ONLY ONE VENDOR. I took a bushel of turnip greens so the old lady went to the back got me a SEALED basket put them in a bag and took me to another desk to pay. The old lady then told me and provided a receipt that she'd refunded the cost instead of charging me the cost and that she would now have to double charge my card to make the transaction correct. Then when I go back to get my bagged sealed barrel turnips IT WAS GONE! The old lady then says "I'll just get you another one" but she comes out this time with a basket that is unsealed and broken! NEEDLESS TO SAY I had a HORRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. I'LL UPDATE WITH PHOTOS IF THE GREENS ARE ACTUALLY GOOD OR IF SHE BAIT AND SWITCHED THEM OUT FOR OLD BAD ONES. After picking the greens my suspicions were correct! As you can see from the photos a little less than half the bushel was rotten as can be seen from the pictures.

Truly an amazing selection of produce here. Massive quantities of it as well . Tub after tub of pepper. All different kinds as well . This stand is huge and has tons of veggies available. Really impressive

We were looking for pumpkins and we hit the jackpot! Simon's Farm is located just on the border of Kentucky and Nashville. All the veggies and produce found here are grown at their farm in Elkton, KY. Their booth is located in the outdoor grocery area. You can't miss them, Just look for all the amazing pumpkins stacks! We walked away with one giant pumpkin, one small squash, that my son wanted, and two bushels of dried corn for decoration. We got the huge pumpkin for only $18 and our total was only $28 for everything. Halloween is just around the corner, so get those Jack-o-lanterns ready!
