My daughter got married here last weekend (3/12). Coldest day of the year with a high of 25. A real challenge for a barn wedding, but the staff was amazing and quickly adjusted to make the wedding a perfect as possible. They were amazing and the wedding was beautiful. Special thanks to Molly and Gab!

Went here for my birthday a few years back and I still remember how great the farm to table experience was. The barbecued pork belly with grilled watermelon was such a unique pairing and the birthday cake was so great too!

Love it here! The charcoal bread is my favorite! Fun environment and fresh quality food. Can't wait to go back

As a wedding photographer, the Old School is one of my favorite venues in Nashville. It has a great open room for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready, as well as a groom's room complete with a pool table. The ceremony that I photographed here was in the barn at sunset, and it was perfect. The open patio let in the sunlight, and guests moved to the open yard for cocktail hour and the reception. For couples looking for a slightly rustic yet elegant wedding venue, I would highly recommend checking out the Old School!

So nice to return and be greeted by well thought out socially distanced evening! The pop-up pizza event a nice surprise and the pizza was amazing! Barn was set up with nicely distanced tables and heaters. We had a wonderful evening and might even have to head back next weekend!!

It took over 1.5hr to get two pizzas. Absolutely not worth the wait. We've been here before for brunch and it was never this bad.

First, let me say that I have really enjoyed my past visits to Old School and their dining room experience is top notch. However, I thought I'd share some feedback on my recent visit last night. Since their dining room is still closed due to COVID they are hosting pizza nights in their beer garden with a food truck. We arrived and placed our order. 30 minutes went by, we finished our wine and went to grab another glass. While ordering our next round, we overheard two employees chatting to one another that it was taking over an hour and half to get pizzas out. While that is not an huge issue, this was not communicated to us and they should be telling customers before they order. We enjoyed the pizzas but future customers should know it take over an hour and half to get your food.

If you’re looking for a great spot for brunch definitely try The Old School. It’s worth the drive if you’re visiting or live in Nashville.

Pre-COVID review. I've never eaten at the restaurant, but the bar area is awesome. Quiet, dark, and no TVs... it's the perfect setting for a post work cocktail or beer. The beer selection is small, but offers a handful of local beers and non-local craft beers. My last visit here I was sippin' on a lager style Yazoo beer and I've also seen Elysian Space Dust on tap. Beyond beer, the cocktail list here is fantastic. PS, all drinks here are garnished with products pulled straight from the farm! The bar menu is all elevated farm to table items; pimento grilled cheese, ham larb salad and Korean BBQ chicharrones. I have had the chicharrones and they are a great pairing with beers. I would normally come here and sip right before my pottery classes at the farm, but everything has been halted since the COVID shutdowns. Hopefully we will get back to normal soon!

Old School offers a constantly changing menu with a focus on sustainable sourcing and environmentally conscious practices. Menu items are incredibly delicious without being extravagantly priced. Examples include small plates like FARM TO FORK BOARD - House made farmer’s cheese, house smoked candied country ham, pickled egg, honeycomb, and charcoal sourdough. The drink selections are great as well. Make reservations soon!

The last good meal my wife and I had out before COVID19 hit our area and we all stopped dining out was here. It was our first time and we enjoyed everything we ordered. We met some friends for dinner and the menu was still the winter seasonal one--highlights included the braised pork, the spicy chicken, the tiramisu, the battered and fried Brussels sprouts, and the dumpling appetizer. It's a very nice set-up with unique atmosphere. Our server was friendly though our service was a little...odd? I think we may have been under-dressed (business casual at most) and our server likely feared we weren't going to be big tippers. We ordered apps and she seemed ready to drop the ticket off before we ordered entrees, she seemed surprised we were eating a full meal (not to mention dessert and drinks). Maybe since we did our best to tip well it evened out. They use high-quality ingredients and the little touches on each dish with unexpected flavors and ingredients really sets them apart. Prices are fair for what they provide. I'm interested in trying brunch some time. Will definitely be back once the current crisis resolves.
