I recently toured West End Village and was really impressed! The community feels modern, welcoming, and well cared for. The location near Centennial Park and Vanderbilt is hard to beat, and the amenities like the pool, gym, and resident lounge make it stand out. Definitely one of the nicer apartment communities I’ve seen in Nashville.

Overall, these apartments are decent. When we first moved in, our balcony gate was broken and took about two weeks to be fixed since a part had to be ordered. The walls are also pretty thin (hopefully you don’t have pets living above you because it’s been HELL listening to dogs running above my head while i’m trying to sleep). For most of the lease we didn’t have major issues inside the unit until the end, when a stove switch broke and our thermostat went out, causing the A/C to stop working. To their credit, maintenance was always quick to respond.
The bigger problems were outside the unit. The parking garage gate (which I pay monthly to use) was unreliable and often not working for long stretches of time. As of writing this, it’s been wide open day and night for about two weeks. Meanwhile, cars parked on the side street (for residents who don’t pay for garage parking) have been repeatedly broken into. I’ve driven to work in the morning seeing glass lining the whole street.
The staff themselves were fine, helpful and friendly whenever I interacted with them. I only used the package room once, but my code never came through, and it turned into a bit of an ordeal getting my package. After that, I just sent everything to my parents’ house. I signed a 14 month lease, i’ve got 2 months left and I opted out of renewing.
In short: solid apartments overall with responsive maintenance, but security and parking issues are major drawbacks.

Had an issue with the AC going out during these hot summer months. Huge shoutout to the maintenance team (and Michael specifically) for responding quickly and stopping by the same day to get it fixed. Thanks!

John and Michael from the West End Village maintenance team were absolutely outstanding when they replaced my washer and dryer. From the moment they arrived, their positive attitude and professionalism stood out. They were courteous, respectful of my space, and took the time to make sure everything was installed perfectly.
Not only do they clearly know their craft, but they also work efficiently and with great attention to detail. They explained what they were doing along the way and made sure everything was working smoothly before they left. It’s rare to meet people who combine such skill with such kindness, but John and Michael are a perfect example.

I lived here for a year and 3 months. This complex will try to scam you. They charged me hundreds of dollars in move out fees and tried to say I left the apartment in a bad state. Luckily I had pictures. The management here is uncompromising and greedy. They take advantage of college students and will try to drain you of every penny. The washing machine in my apartment flooded twice and left the carpet in my room soaking wet. West end village did little to help besides putting in a fan. After that happened, I worried about mold. Additionally, their package system is very unreliable and not secure. Do not live here—one of my biggest regrets.

I just moved out of WEV, here was my experience:
- Great area, convenient being close to centennial. However, it was super busy streets and not very safe to be walking. My friends and I would get catcalled the second we stepped out of the building (this happened on a consistent basis). I would not feel safe walking from an Uber into the building.
- Garrielle and Yvette are awesome, they are incredible and really care about the residents.
- I personally did not like the enclosed pool because there was only about 2 hours of partial sunlight through the days & there is no privacy in your apartment when you face the pools.
- The parking situation is bad. There are two floors, however, the top gate by building B rarely ever works, forcing everyone to fight for spots on the first floor. Given the fact that I did not feel safe at night and was not comfortable walking in by myself, I parked in the corner of the garage. The manager called me down and demanded that I must pay $200 for a "broken gate" when my car #1 was not near the gate, #2 they had NO proof that my car had any kind of possible impact. #3 there were no signs or lines saying that I could not park there and there were lines that I could. I tried to talk to her about this and she continued to tell me that everyone in this building is very mad at me. After that, I tried to go above her, they just charged my account and did not respond. That was SUPER frustrating.
- They will get every possible dime they can out of you no matter what.
- There is also always construction by the pool so it is super loud in the building
- Maintenance staff is super quick with their services which is very convenient when you have any issues
- The apartments themselves are really good quality and well-built

I have been living here for the past 8 months and everything has been beyond my expectations, from the staff to the management, everyone is always available to help out. The location is really good, especially if you like going to parks (5 minute walk from Centennial!) and don't want to live in a busy and noisy neighborhood.

West End Village is an amazing luxury apartment, just steps away from the gorgeous Centennial Park. The amenities and service of this apartment building exceeded my expectations. The staff is extremely friendly and the location is perfect, allowing you to relax from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Apartments have plenty of room and new appliances. Even when we’ve needed things fixed, our needs are taken care of extremely quickly! Definitely recommend to anyone looking to live in Nashville!
