As seen on the website they said they do take walk-ins so I showed up around 3:30, and they close at 5. I 100% understand that there are other people with appointments before me but for me to sit there worried about my dog for an hour and a half thinking she is going to finally get some relief from her pain(I asked at the counter, and they said they could take walk-ins); just to be told that they aren’t going to be able to take her today is very upsetting. I definitely would have appreciated some more communication on the staff end because I still have no idea what is wrong with my girl.Their only solution was to make me an appointment. So, question McArthur Animal Hospital. Are you or are you guys not able to take walk-ins????

The owner seems more interested in money than helping animals. Sad to see a veterinarian burn out and lose their way.

Very kind and professional, appointments are fairly easy to set close to the time of calling to schedule. Haven't heard anything but good said about it as far as I can recall as long as it's been around! They do charge 50$ for the first visit, but pricing is fair.

I would not have even given the one-star, but I had to to get to this box so I could post how I feel about this place. My son brought his dog in there yesterday Wednesday the 1st of March after his dog had accidentally gotten ahold of an 800 mg ibuprofen, the vet was so terrified of getting bit she told my son to take the dog home and squirt hydrogen peroxide down her throat which only caused the coating to come off quicker and the ibuprofen to get into her system even faster. Four a.m.this morning my son had to rush this beautiful precious dog to a emergency hospital I will say who they were they were in Knoxville Tennessee on Kingston Pike emergency vet hospital and they saved this dog's life because they are true veterinarians they studied and took a job where there may be a risk of a bite or snap or snarl or a bark to save a dog's life I personally would not take an ant to this place because they do not know what they're doing My son has been very traumatized stressed out and thinking he was going to lose his dog because of the lack of concern compassion knowledge and stupidity of this place. If you have a problem with your pet....DONT BRING THEM HERE!!!!!

Great service even better customer service. The doctors and the staff are compassionate and caring. I won’t say that the pets enjoy going but they make it endurable. Top rate in my books!

Knowledgeable staff truly loves animals. They are very attentive and thoroughly examine your animals There is a lot of love that goes and everything they do. I have gone to several different veterinarians in the area and really appreciate the fact that I have such a knowledgeable group.

Very disappointed in this clinic. Our pet was dropped off there for cremation. When our pet was dropped off the person up front acted like they were confused as to why we were there. Then when we picked up our pet I stood in the lobby at least 10 minutes or longer before any one word was said to me although several employees had been up front. Then instead of saying one moment or anything as I stood by the desk and the phone rang still no acknowledgement of me being there but answered the phone and continued on. The most heartbreaking part is we were not given any hair clippings, paw print, or anything with our pets ashes…. Only the asked and box. They never wrote down for us to receive that from the cremation place. Will never recommend them to anyone else.(Revised to respond the vet response)In response to your message to my initial review. The way there was no acknowledgment or communication with me for no less than 10 minutes while an active lobby of workers and treated by the office was very unprofessional. You saying that they no longer offer paw prints is a false statement. We had another pet pass due to old age not two weeks after our beloved Smokey. Guess what?!?! We got a fur clipping and a paw print. That same cremation place…. So they do offer both. From my understanding from them, the Vet is to OFFER or let all things known to the person/family dropping their pets off to be cremated as to what they can get. We were offered nothing from your office. So again, I stand by saying that wouldn’t recommend this Vet. Even more so now after reading the response with lies from you.
