Excellent service today. I needed assistance with an account. I was called back to meet with a representative soon after arriving. The banker at the desk was helpful, kind, and took care of the issues with the account. After reading other reviews, I was dreading going into the branch but I was completely satisfied with the customer care I received, enough so to write a review.

Impressively horrible customer service at the Oak Ridge branch. Zero stars. Do NOT work with Truist. While online customer service will get the job done, the tellers at the branch are the most unintelligent, unaware, and consistently rude people to work with. Zero social skills and they clearly lack any training for their job.

I moved from California to Tennessee recently and after some time found work and opened a bank account.when i opened the bank account they where kind and respectful, but their attitude's changed when they placed a hold on my first paycheck for 7 days which added to 14 days of being held as they where closed for thanksgiving and they have sundays off.when i spoke to them about the hold at first they where helpful and, when i asked them if they could release my funds or a portion of it they refused and held my entire paycheck which i need for my family.I spoke with another state which is in kentucky and they where respectful and went above and beyond by trying to help me and give me information to have my main branch release the funds for me and my family. i have a pregant wife and three kids i support and we needed my funds released.when i brought the information back to the Oakridge branch in Tennessee i was rebuked and belittled and was told i would not receive help getting my funds.i took the matter up with the number on the back of my card and now am receiving better support, but the customer service at the Oak ridge branch is lacking and needs to be noted.if i receive more disrespect and my finances being taken hostage i will be looking for a new banking institute.

I've been banking with Suntrust/Truist for 24 years. One of my credit cards charges me $30.00 extra plus my interest rate as a penalty for the amount being over 2,000.00. I was never aware of this dirty fee, until I used it to pay my dentist. I've called to speak with a branch manager six times over a period of time. I've left messages and haven't received a call back. I just stopped in the bank today to speak with a branch manager. The teller said it would be a 20 min wait. She was rude and should not be in a customer service job. I've encountered her before, and everytime I speak with her she is rude. I needed some checks a few months ago and had to pay 34.00 for them. I'm getting ready to change over to my local Credit Union. They charge for checks. PLEASE Stay away from this bank. They are stealing money from me with the 30.00 penalty fee. I pay 65.00 a month towards this credit card, but only 3.00 goes towards the balance. It's been two years of making monthly payments on his card. I'll never get the balance paid. I foresee them closing just the same as the Clinton Branch. Stay away from the one in Oak Ridge, TN

This particular branch has to be the slowest one I have ever been to. I came on my lunch break and it took every bit of my break and then some to cash a check. There was only one person in line in front of me, they took 10 minutes. Finally pull up and they tell me that it will be a “few” minutes until they get to me. It was way longer than a few. Unfortunately I work business hours so during my break is when I have to come here. Guess I’ll pack a lunch next time.

Was once good (two decades ago). Now, changing name and closed the Clinton branch (really, in the county seat?) So, they left me and I've moved on to Regions.

This bank is horrible. Can't get them on the phone, they don't return calls, never respond to emails. Nothing about this bank has been easy to deal with. Stay away from this bank especiallythe branch in Oak Ridge!!!! Would leave zero stars if I could.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE company. I planned a trip to California and spoke with Truist BEFORE I left about being able to use my debit without the fraud alerts they LOVE to place on my card. Was told everything would be fine. Get out to California and within one week my card was shut down due to……FRAUD ALERT! If it weren’t for my father wiring me money I would have been stranded and sleeping in my car. Fast forward to today I get yet another fraud alert saying somebody tried to use my card at a local gas station. The card is in my freaking wallet. Card deactivated yet again and the local Truist is closed so guess what? Once again no access to my money until Monday. This company is a sham.

Suntrust changed their name to Truist. So, Truist cancelled our debit cards before we were able to have the replacement Truist cards. Social Security was unable to make deposits into the Truist accounts. I was unable to use my card to get groceries or gasoline and was unable to have my check honored at Staples. This morning, I got an email that a monthly automated payment was refused. I am unable to see my account transactions and balances online. I was asked to agree to a new online policy, but was unable to see the policy.

Terrible for business accounts. Connecting to Quickbooks has been a 2 month nightmare. Their credit card portal looks like it hasn't been updated in 10+ years. Ordering credit cards for employees is extremely difficult. The maximum limits on mobile deposit is so small, it's a joke. The people are nice, but the infrastructure just isn't there to support today's businesses.

While I understand bank tellers can only do so much they could at least have a positive attitude. Idk if the teller was having a bad day or if she normally has a cloudy disposition. I went to regions. Even though the teller there couldn't help me she was at please nice and attempted be be helpful rather than telling me "I can't do this". Trust me, just go to Regions; they atleast make an effort.
