Old Hickory Beach is a popular spot for outdoor activities and relaxation. It offers a man-made beach accessible by a small fee during the summer, with well-kept grounds, picnic tables, and grills for family gatherings. The beach area is roped off, shallow, and safe for kids and weaker swimmers, though there are no lifeguards. Facilities include a small bathhouse and a porta potty. Visitors enjoy fishing from the many ramps and spots, with some catching large fish like big cats and stripers. The location is also ideal for launching small boats. The surrounding area features beautiful views of the sky, water, and wildlife, providing a peaceful environment to unwind, listen to nature, and enjoy scenic views. It is a great place to spend time with family, swim, fish, or just relax by the water, especially during the day. However, it may feel a bit scary at night. Overall, Old Hickory Beach is a good spot for quick swims, picnics, and outdoor fun.
