Response to the owner's reply to my review -The owner said - "It is our policy that salespeople are not allowed to service or remove parts on guitars or amps for testing. You may however test your own tubes on the only free public tube tester in Tennessee (As far as we know). You were clearly told that there were no techs available. This ordeal makes me think of someone entering an auto dealer and expecting the service counter person to repair your vehicle because no mechanics were available."...Indeed, I WAS told that there were no techs available so your snarky reply to my review isn't relevant. I was invited by your employee to come test the tubes. He said nothing about not being able to touch the tubes. No problem, but he NEVER SAID THAT. So trying to find a solution to his frustration with my presence, I offered to open the amp and pull the tubes. Yet, your guy acted like the whole thing was a huge problem, WHEN HE WAS THE ONE THAT TOLD ME TO COME DOWN SO HE COULD TEST THE TUBES. That is where the problem lies. The owner also replied to my review stating, "You had no problem finding my e-mail to tell me you had no ax to grind, and then ground that ax."....I do not have an axe to grind. I only wanted the owner to know that he has an employee that tells potential customers one thing and then acts an entirely different way in person. It was the most bizarre exchange I have had in a long time. And as the owner, you're now going to publicly argue with a former potential customer in a public forum for everyone to read?I rest my case regarding the lack of professionalism of this store.I had never set foot in this store before today, and now I definitely won’t set foot in there ever again. My tube amp has been making a crackling/popping sound for a short while now that became much worse quickly. I called today, on a Saturday to see if this was something that the store might be able to diagnose. The friendly person over the phone explained to me that the store’s amp techs are not in on the weekends, but if I wanted to go ahead and bring it in, he could test the tubes for me, and if that was the issue then he would have the parts to replace them. So I made my way over there and when I entered the store there was a guy sitting behind the counter whose voice matched the person over the phone. There were no other customers in the store. I reminded the guy about our phone conversation that had taken place not even one hour earlier and he never said “oh yeah, I remember.” He just said, “that could have been me.” He looks at the amp and asks if I had popped out the tubes. I said no, but that if he had a screwdriver, I could quickly open it up and could take out the tubes. He started to seem flustered and said, “well, it’s just me here.” I said, “I can see that, but this being my first tube amp, I didn’t know that you wanted me to have all of the tubes already out.” (Again, I offered to pop off the back and take them out. It would have taken me five minutes tops, if that.) He then said, “well, I guess I could open up the back and take them out. Our techs who are out on the weekends but in during the week could have this opened up and looked at in no time,” and then he seemed really put out with me. I said “never mind, I’ll come back Monday.” Not sure why I said that, because I won’t. To which he just said, “okay” and nothing else and went about his business of sitting behind the counter being the “only one there” with no customers but me in the store. I have money to spend and am always buying gear. But I spent an hour driving there and back from Mount Juliet just to have this guy who wasn’t doing anything when I walked in, seem like I was a real problem for him. This employee completely lost any future business of mine.Terrible, terrible, terrible experience.

Great store!! I walked in for the first time to see if they had parts for my guitar build and they did! I'll have to come back here more often.

I called ahead and then drove over an hour to see if he could check out an issue I had with at old Marshall head. I no sooner walked in he said "nope, not even going to look at it". Thanks for the memories son. It worked out for the better though because I ended up at British Audio in Nashville and had 5 star service.

Great place. Alex was very cool and super nice. Took in my Peavey 5150 Block Letter and they fixed it up with great turn around time. Highly recommend.

Brought a Marshall combo in for some work. They replaced tubes and told me they cleaned the pots and switches. The amp developed a noise and the crunch switch was not working. When I came back they claimed there was no problem with the switch and gave me an attitude instead of checking their “ guaranteed” repair. British Audio has now replaced the switch. I will never set foot in this store again.

Limited supplies, and delayed repair times. Not recommended for amp/head repair.

I've found the place to go for any and everything I'll ever need for my guitars and amps. They have a staff that not only can answer any questions you have, they're good people too. Alex even carried my amp in for me. He didn't have to do that at all. Thank's Alex! And then the amp Dr put my amp back in perfect shape at a good price and within a few days. Plus they have whole sections of all the things used to play music. There's a whole department of Footpedals, etc. They even have a tube testing machine and tubes in stock. I could go on and on. But the bottom line is that this is the best place in town and they have the best people.

All the guitar and amp techs here are phenomenal. I call them for anything and everything I need and they're always willing to try to fit me into the schedule as soon as possible and help me out with some of my older gear. They're great on pricing and do excellent work. Best techs in Nashville!
