These geniuses have broken my mailbox not only once, but twice! Then they want to tell us it’s normal wear and tear.

They Just Dont Care. Have a BUSINESS in Ooltewah and they drive right past the mailbox at least twice a week when the flag is up. If you have a business here do not rely on their carriers, get a PO box or something.

Well, someone named Dyan works at the post office decided to call my mother and freak her out by telling her She has broken the law by putting business flyers inside of mailboxes and now that my mom has to pay a whole bunch of fines and postage. I can’t get through to fix the situation. I have called over seven times within the last hour and no one will pick up the phone. My mom can barely leave the house let alone go around starting new businesses or putting flyers inside of mailboxes, but of course I can’t get through to straighten the situation and I’m not about to drive all the way to Ooltewah to fix it. Maybe do a little investigative work before you start calling senior citizens and freaking them out.

Only giving it one star because google doesn’t let you give zero stars. This post office should be shut down. During the holidays they can’t keep up with demand and let packages sit around. During the rest of the year the postal employees can’t be bothered to walk up two steps to place a package under our covered porch, instead they just leave it at the base of the steps, exposed to the elements. It’s the middle of January and we’re still getting Christmas cards shipped in middle December.
I really hope this place becomes the victim of budget cuts.

I’m shocked and disappointed that USPS would knowingly deliver an empty, flattened, and torn package and still mark it as ‘delivered.’ I came home to find what was essentially ripped-up cardboard—how can something in that condition even be delivered? This is beyond unacceptable and feels like a complete disregard for customers. USPS needs to seriously address its handling and delivery standards. This experience has completely shaken my trust in their service.

They can't pick up outgoing letters regularly. We watched the mail person throw mail on top of out going mail letters in our box. They picked up my next door neighbors mail though. I have to take my mail to georgia on the way to work and drop them off at their post office to get them sent out. Has nothing to do with packages just old school letters. Really??? I've called about this before but evidently they were not clear enough for the delivery person to understand how it works. They never put the flag back down when the do pick it up either.

I believe the staff at actual the location are good at their jobs. However the post office as a whole is horrible. I have had problems with my packages being deliver and then not being delivered due to whatever driver they had that day. Then I paid for one day delivery on a package and it ended up being 3 days late causing me to miss have something at a new home turned on. Then a package that was supposed to be delivered to me was out on the wrong container and sent to another facility in which is making me wait even longer on my items. This place and all the problems I have had for years is just astonishing to say the least. Again the people that work the from desk at this office are amazing, the back ground part and the drivers have made me think otherwise of them.

Horrible service. Placed my package in mailbox that I could not remove. I have to leave a note, so I can get my package. For the third time when they did that. I left a note. When I checked my box, the package was not there, no keys left to the bigger box and it was not delivered to my address

You can't get a person on the phone no matter if you call the local number or the 800 number.

Deana needs a lesson in customer service. She’s rude and clearly doesn’t like her job. She speaks to you with the tone that you inconveniencing her!

Kind people who work here diligently despite the high volume of customers they receive. They greet with a smile and serve well, doing quite the hard job! I enjoy dropping off my mail here.Main caveat would be delivery can be fickle at our apartments. Totally understandable with how tough a job the carriers have with meeting time deadlines and whatnot, so I don't fault them too much since they try their best. Would love for more consistency as some packages have gone missing when they're misplaced.Otherwise no complaints. Great people, especially the incredible service inside.

I moved to Ooltewah about three years back and I have never had an issue with our local post office. The people inside have especially been courteous and helpful over the years. The only complain I have, and it is a minor one, is that some of the packages I receive are shipped in boxes that are roughly the same length and width as my mailbox, but rather than drop them off at my front door they are oftentimes crammed into my mailbox. Usually when it’s a single package, which makes it exceptionally difficult for me to get it out. Other than that one minor issue, they have been wonderful.

Yep, we send cards and gifts to a relative. She always has it stolen. Post office will never investigate it. It’s time to get a hold of the police dept to handle. This has been going on for over two years or so. Complaining to the Post Office doesn’t help. They will not listen.
