1116 Volunteer Dr, ParisI have always taken my dogs and pets to Mineral Wells Animal Clinic. They are always there to treat routine as well as emergencies care. My dog was very sick and I didn't think that he was going to make it. CAITLYNN MOON DVN met me after hours to evaluate and treat my dog. She DX him with diabetes , liver / pancreas lab abnormal and a very distended bladder. He gradually improved under her care and close adjustments of his I split. He has so much more energy and he is starting to play again with my other dogs. My dog is alive today because of the care that he was given. All the office staff and vet assistant ate great. They are kind and very helpful. We are truly blessed to have Mineral Wells Animal Clinic .

Dr. Neal takes time to explain everything clearly, answers all of my questions without rushing, and treats my pet like their own. They keep prices affordable and care about the animals they see.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

3615 US-79, ParisI have been wanting to try this place for awhile so my mother and I went there for lunch. When you first walk in it had a very clean non cluttered atmosphere with being a motorcycle shop in the front and the restaurant in the back. The restaurant area had tables (regular and high top) and a bar and when the weather is nice an outdoor sitting area too. The day we were there it was cold and it seemed cold inside (don't know if they just didn't have the temp right or if it was because of the bay doors letting some cold in). There was a lot of restaurant sitting but I almost think too much. My mom has to use a cane to walk (another lady came in while we were there that did too) and you are limited to where you can sit because of not being able to get around the tables. I don't know what they would do with someone in a wheelchair if they were busy. I know they are trying to sit as many people as they can but less tables with being more comfortable and having to wait to sit and eat would be better in my eyes. My mom got the BLT and she loved it. I tried something new and got the mac and cheese burger. The outside rim of the burger was a little burnt but the rest was good and had good flavor. Both meals had enough to them you weren't going home hungry. Everyone was nice and friendly and you could tell the employees feel like the place is a family which was nice.

Henry County Sheriff Animal Shelter
622 Jones Bend Rd, ParisI adopted my dog 3 years ago from here. The shelter is a little run down and I wish they could get more funding because the workers were really nice and tried to help out as much as they could with the dogs. These dogs are mostly from abused or neglectful areas, so I think this shelter is doing amazing for what they have.
