Wow, what an unforgettable hotel. The Margaritaville Island Hotel is not just any hotel, it is an ultimate vacation experience! My family and I come to the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area 2 or 3 times a year to get away from the city in Florida. We typically stay in 4-5 star chain hotels, and usually change it up every year because we just haven't found the perfect location. Every year we spend hours online trying to find things to do such as mountain, climbing, mountain, coasters, and all the things that pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg have to offer. We have started to get tired of the same old thing. We have now found the perfect, ultimate resort hotel. The most important thing to me is cleanliness and service. This location gets five stars from a picky germaphobe mom. Most rooms have nice wooden style floors, very comfortable, beds, room, service, and great views. Each room has a Keurig coffee pot with a selection of coffees and real creamer, not the powder. Many rooms have beautiful electric fireplaces, that are easily operated. The rooms are bigger than any hotel that we have stayed in thus far in 16 years. Not to mention, the location is right inside of the island, which is the biggest and best amusement area in the Pigeon Forge/ Gatlinburg area. It's so Easy to find if you just look for the giant neon Ferris wheel. The excellent service and attentiveness of the staff from the assistance at the front desk, to the very entertaining mixologist at the bar, to the valet reps with an EZ scan to get your Valet car ready typically in five minutes. What amazed me, is even the manager was out in front and was very accommodating and approachable to everyone. They did not hide in a room like so many of the other places we have stayed in. After staying at this fantastic Margaritaville, Island Hotel, you won't want to stay anywhere else, once you have stayed here. Get ready to be spoiled, and have an Amazing experience!

I wanted to book here again but looking at recent reviews I won't. I had a good experience last year except I left an item in the room and couldn't get anyone to call me back. The pictures of the run down rooms and filth are shocking to me. It makes me not want to travel. Couldn't be a problem in every room I hope but with pictures telling the story I'm hesitant. I hope management does something about the rooms. It's too expensive to stay there and have terrible experiences and filth. At this time I will book a hotel that has been our consistent hotel for the last 20 years. Please take care of these problems.

We have stayed at this location twice. Our first stay in May 2022 was pleasant. Our stay this time was highly disappointing. We had 2 riverfront rooms. One room had a sink that leaked so bad, the floor puddled with water. The shower door leaked so bad, the floor would flood if multiple towels were not on the floor. The vanity light also did not work. We told the front desk, the sink issue was fixed, the other issues were not.The second room also had a vanity light that did not work. The sprinkler and exhaust fan were so rusted in both rooms they looked like they would fall out of the ceiling. The "perks" that I chose beforehand were not available at check in. The only option was a $25 room credit. We tried to use that at the cafe in the hotel and couldn't. Only the bars at the hotel allowed you to charge to your room.Bottom line, good location but the hotel is not being maintained.

Highly recommend the fountain view rooms. Watching the fountain and people, listening to fun music is so nice. Very friendly staff. Everyone we came into contact with was smiling and checking if we needed anything. Room was clean. Beds comfortable. Sheets were fantastic.

What a wonderful stay for our first time in Pigeon Forge! I’m so glad we picked this hotel and the fountain view. Watching the fountain lights and my kids dancing to the music, was so fun. Every single one of the staff members- Sonya, Lisa, Spencer, Cassie & even the wonderful housekeeper(I didn’t catch her name, sadly) made the stay so much better. I appreciate all their kindness. We will be back

It was a bit harder to get into. Buses had completely blocked the drop off area. We never saw any EV charging. Parking is PAID. No free parking anymore. Parking was FAR as the closest lot was valet only. Staff ead friendly but the walk from the front desk to our room was EVEN further. Room was large, nice view with a huge double door that opens to the outside. The shower was amazing. The fireplace was a great tough for fall/winter months only. We really overall enjoyed the stay for the novelty and the location.

The staff were great and went out of their way to help. They always stopped what they were doing if we needed assistance. I wish I knew the name of the gentleman on the morning we were checking out. We were on the 3rd floor by the elevator with bags on a cart. He was moving heavy mattresses. Our bags fell off cart as we were entering elevator. He ran over and took control and fixed the situation. (We had 2 disabled folks with us and he was a God send). As we were loading the car another employee walked by and said-“Just leave the cart there-I’ll take it back in on my way back.” Rooms were clean. I would define one back.

Margaritaville Island Hotel was impressive the Island was like staying at an amusement park, everything you could need could be found here. The rooms were clean, beds were so comfortable, & the pillows made for good sleep. The fireplace definitely warmed the room, & the view of the river from our balcony was gorgeous.

To simply put it - We spent $1600 to stay from Thursday-Monday; & it was not worth it AT all. We did get to check in at 10am, rather than 4pm, so that was very nice — Upon checking in, we were notified that we could pay $10 per day to park in a parking lot, right next to public parking, not even valet. OR we could park our car in the public parking but there’s a chance of it getting it towed. It’s still a bit of a walk even at the Margaritaville $10 per night lot.Anyway, the room was VERY dirty, considering how much you pay per night (see attached photos). As soon as we walked in, it was 78° on the thermostat - very muggy and sticky in the room (the hallways are also very hot and stuffy). We noticed the toilet being dirty and not wiped down. There was black mold in the shower. The bathtub was dusty and could’ve used a good wipe down. The pillow on the bench right near the bed was absolutely disgusting, you couldn’t even sit down on it.I wanted to enjoy the huge bathtub, and of course I ran the water and sprayed it down a few times to get any debris out—but still once I filled the tub, and put a bath bomb in it, the water was absolutely horrendous. Again, with the amount of money you spend on this hotel, you would think the cleaning would be absolute perfection. You are definitely paying for location convenience being at The Island.Today (Sunday) we had our ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door, and we headed out around 10:30am. We stopped at the front desk to ask if they could tidy up our room because we had seen them already pass our door; Just empty the trash, restock the towels, and make the bed. We came back, and the bed was not made. Of course that isn’t a big deal, but a sign in the bathroom states “Linens will be changed every 3 days”, and that is clearly not the case.Whenever a shower was to be taken, there would be a HUGE puddle of water outside the shower. For some odd reason there is a gap between the shower glass, but the shower head is facing the way towards the gap. So we would practically use all our towels up to soak up the water.Lastly, the water is extremely drying and dirty feeling. I broke out in a rash all over my face. I also got random red marks on my arms after it touched the bath water.I would highly suggest looking around at other hotels, where it’s cleaner, with a free parking lot within a few steps of the front door.

I only visited the coffee shop, but I found it to be very nice. I was able to get some work done (i.e., grading papers, etc.) while I was there. The staff members were very professional, friendly, and attentive. I would definitely recommend their coffee shop to anyone who needs to do work, have a nice coffee, snack, etc. Keep up the great work! :)

Clean and spacious room with great bar and grill downstairs. Really enjoyed Blaire in the bar - welcoming and funny! Reasonably priced coffee house downstairs and coffee maker in the room. We had a balcony on the creek - great morning photos! Hotel is right in the middle of the fun.

We were underwhelmed by the hotel in many ways. Staff were not overly friendly. The room was not spotless and was dusty in places. The bed was small and uncomfortable. The distance from elevators to rooms. The hotel is dated and we noticed as we left a sign saying that paintwork would be carried out so hopefully this improves. If we had paid $100 per night, I would’ve felt these were ok but the cost was considerably more. I would not stay here again and would instead recommend to stay at another hotel in the area, eg Hampton inn etc. The location is close to the island but not really walkable to anywhere else. And other than souvenir shops, there is only an hour or twos worth of fun at the island for adults. When we checked out, we were asked how our stay was and when I replied “just ok”, I wasn’t asked for any further info which was disappointing.

We are here as we speak , I’m very disappointed to think I paid 850.00 for 2 nights and then we were asked to pay to park . Then to put the cherry on top our air isn’t cooling . We called front desk and maintenance offered a box fan and said it should cool off in a hour after changing air filter . It’s pretty warm out like 80’s for the air not yo me working properly. So why bother even calling again. But I guess we should’ve took our gut instinct when we arrived yesterday we went inside to get checked in and left our car to be valet parked .We went to our room and settled in and came back 2 hours later our car was still sitting where we left it . I guess that should’ve been a red flag that the service here obviously wasn’t ideal for the price of the stay . Considering this is our Anniversary trip I was disappointed!! They did put a bottle of wine and 2 free drinks in our room which was nice ..Walkability: Walk around the island
