We have had a wonderful experience with this daycare. Lily started at 3 months old with me returning to work and all the workers, including the owner, has shown nothing but kindness to me and love to my daughter. I drop in all the time as a first time mom and they always welcome my visits during work hours, I have always been impressed how they manage the babies. Lily has developed tremendously at daycare including now enjoying tummy time and sleeping in a crib. Highly recommend- they are experts in child care! I do not understand the bad review here as several co-workers have/had kids here and enjoyed this daycare as much as we do. I have never walked in and not received a smile / hello.

This is probably the best preschool in pleasant view. The director knows what she's doing. This school is very organized too. My baby has been to a couple of preschools now and none of them is like community day school. Either my baby is coming home with a diaper rash or not being fed her bottles all day. These people at the community day school actually does their jobs. I wouldn't send your kid anywhere else, but here.

Started out great when our child was very young, about 6 months old. Trouble started a little before the year mark when she was constantly being moved around, she never had a consistent classroom, the amount of kids in the class would fluctuate constantly. This stressed her out quite a bit. She was usually exhausted by the end of the day and cried until bed time. The management here treats the facility much more like a business with a heavy money focus rather than a human focus. The employees complained of low pay and insane conditions on more than one occasion.Overall a bad place to entrust your child’s upbringing.

My wife and I have had our daughter at the Community Day School for 7 years. Our daughter has special needs, so her care is very important to us. As someone who works at a locally owned business I know turnover is hard, so I really appreciate long time employees. We especially appreciate the manager, Ms. Alexis. Ms. Alexis knows that our daughter may sometimes have a weird schedule, but she always works with us. In fact, I can't remember a time she said no to something we needed for our child. So I just want to say thank you to Ms. Alexis and her staff, your dedication to the job means so much to our family. We highly recommend the Community Day School!

Have attended this school for 3 years now and absolutely love it! It hard these days to trust anyone but I know when I drop my child off that I have nothing to worry about. The office has always called to notify me if my child has gotten hurt or if they were concerned about an issue I had forgotten to mention from the night or weekend before. The teachers have always shown such excitement when they see my child coming through the door or coming into the building. And it is such a blessing to call them my village and to have my child coming home excited to talk about what she learned. So thank you for all that you do and continue to do for my sweet babe! We couldn't imagine taking her anywhere else!!

It says a lot about a company when they remove their review capability on Facebook. I know most people won't see it here but hopefully it helps someone!Let me be super clear here, the teachers at TCDS are top notch. They took great care of our babies the entire time we were there and we are truly sad to leave them. That being said though, DO NOT take your children to this daycare. We loved it when we first started, but it’s gone way downhill. The director has to be one of the rudest people I have ever met in my entire life. True story, back in the fall they hosted a vendor fair to raise money for the school. I volunteered my time as well as gave a $75 bag for free to place in a silent auction. What does she say? One would think it would be “thank you”. Nope. She says that she thinks my product is “stupid”. To my face. She can’t keep teachers on staff to save her life unless they are her friends or they are desperate because of the way she treats them.Trust me your kids will be fine as long as they are in the infant and toddler room because if state shows up it’s all pretty obvious they are the same age/ability. As soon as my son went to the 2’s room they just move them around like cattle and they will say “oh he visited the 3’s class today”…meaning, “we needed to make numbers so we just herded your child into a different room. Then they want to say that your child is having behavior issues. No kidding. It’s fine though. It’s always really fun to show up to school and play “where’s my kid?” each afternoon. Makes parenting interesting. I’ve heard that if you are lucky to be in the class with one of her grandkids you are good though. My son on the other hand got bit, kicked, hit, pushed down by pretty much the same 2 kids non-stop for the last 6 months and nothing was ever done. Don’t worry though, there is a “biting policy” in place that is effective as long as the biter isn’t one of the directors favorites. Which has to be like 2 kids because I have never even seen her even smile at a kid, in 18 months. All of that we put up with for a long time but the past few months but what really put the icing on the cake was the morning after our son had been at school and came home with a visible hand print bruise on his shin to which she promised she would watch the tapes. About 3 hours after I dropped him off, I got a call that she had watched the tapes (10 hours + 2 classrooms = 3 hours) and said that she had decided to “self report” to DCS. In case you don’t know what that means it means SHE reported ME to DCS. Thankfully it was dismissed easily. We finally decided to pull them 2 weeks ago after getting a copy of their “updated potty training policy”. Just a heads up, this new policy pretty much states that WE DON’T DO POTTY TRAINING. If you think I am kidding, have your not even 3 year old put on a diaper, don’t tell them they need to go potty, don’t take them when they tell you “no”, and then expect them to stay 100% dry for 2 weeks before they can go to underwear. GOOD LUCK!The actual owner of the daycare seems like such a nice guy so I don’t know why he has allowed the director to run off all the teachers, so many families, and allowed the daycare to turn into such a circus. Enroll at your own risk!

We have been with the community day school for over 2 years. My daughter started in the infant room at about 6 months old and we absolutely loved this place. It was clean, the teachers were friendly and knowledgeable. As she moved up in age groups, she started learning sign language and we thought, this is great! As she got older they appointed a new director and we started noticing a much higher turnover rate in the staff. They had news letters when the first couple of teachers left, but after a while we had no idea who was coming and who was going. No one told us that these teachers were leaving, and no introduction was done when a new lead teacher took over the class. The kids were getting more and more unruly, and every time I walked in I was getting a report about my kid being either on the receiving or giving end of an incident. I would see how many reports were folded and lined up on the counter for all the parents. This place has really taken a turn for the worse!! We had a meeting with the direct and the teachers voicing our concerns as well as trying to come up with a way to get the behavior, for not only our child, but the 18 other children in the classroom, under control. I can’t count how many times we would come in to pick her up and the teachers have their heads down doing paperwork or cleaning something while the 18 kids are running around throwing toys at each other, hitting, pushing, bitting and punching each other. There’s absolutely NO STRUCTURE at this place anymore. They will not pay their teachers enough to keep them and will hire as part time only to avoid giving benefits. This will not keep the kind of teachers/child care workers around that I want my child to be around all day. There’s absolutely no stability here. It’s a real shame because they used to do such a great job. I sincerely hope they can find someone who is able to run it properly again, but until then I would never send my child there!

We were very nervous when we put our 21 month old in daycare for the first time. The Community Day School made us feel so comfortable and welcome and our 2 year old has really blossomed at daycare. She loves going to daycare every day and hugs her teachers when she gets there. I’ve been very impressed with the school and grateful for everything they have done for our family. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Community Day School has been an excellent provider of care and learning for our daughter. It really is a community with everyone engaged in her development. The entire team knows your child and is committed to his or her daily growth. An on-site kitchen for prepared meals/snacks, a frequent program of events and an outdoor playground second to none are big pluses. It is such a comfort to have your child in good hands while you're at work.

This daycare came to us as a huge blessing! We were in search for another daycare for several months. Our 3 year old was lets just say out growing the home daycare that he was going to. Out of luck we finally found the Community day school with NO waiting list! We fell in love as soon as we took our tour & Alexis was great! She didnt rush thru the tour & she took the time to listen to our main concerns & worries. Our lil guy has a huge separation issue & we were worried ab how that transition would go. We did have a few rough mornings but his teachers were awesome at handling him & easing my worries. He loves it there & we love hearing all ab his day when we pick him up! His day is full of fun activities & learning in fun ways. I Really wish we found this place sooner! I seriously do NOT have one bad thing to say ab this place!!
