This place and the Armour are in cohoots together. The Do No Ho doesn't have phones or tvs in the room. Windows apparently don't shut which allows bugs in the room. Towels were used to fill the gap. Definitely not handicap friendly as no railings on front steps.

So my wife's company had made reservations for her to stay here she was a little excited when she first got there then it just went down hill from there told her they had been wait for her she was like ok well I'm here she asked about paying for her stay and was told to wait till checkout which was strange to her went to her room and just shocked when she walked in turn to shut the door and lock it just a knoblock and no guts in the deadbolt no chain slide lock then the blinds by the door had 2 blades broke with no real window covering then looked across the room no fig no microwave no coffee maker then looked down just a window unit for air and a plug in floor heater to heat the room looked in the bathroom stand-up shower no tub we were on a video chat and she was going to get something to eat about 15mins away she ended up finding another place that was $30 cheaper a night had a fully stocked room so she went back to Donoho and canceled her stay and the guy flipped out told her he hired someone to come in and clean that room for her and they don't do business that way well sir I don't do people that way we were going to plan a ride up with several couples to stay a weekend would have been about 10 rooms instead you have gotten this review for being rude to my wife and other people I have read the reviews I hope others do the same and see mine the only reason for the 1 star is cause I had to check one to leave our review

My husband booked the Donoho Hotel because it was a different place to stop on our way back to Ontario Canada. The history behind the hotel was interesting and the fact Ronnie McDowell was there singing for a couple hours was a pleasant surprise .The hotel is over 100 years old and the room was small but very clean and comfortable .No TV which was fine with us . The bed was old but comfy and the long porch was nice to sit out on.What really made our visit really great was to actually sit through a long session of Ronnie McDowell singing with his band and a song by his son Tyler. Ronnie is a great entertainer and the band was really good.It was such a great afternoon. The people that are regulars made my husband and myself feel so welcome. There was no supper that night in the hotelbut we took a drive 15 minutes away and had a great meal in Lafayette .The breakfast was served family stile and everything was delicious hot and the best cup of coffee to start the day .Is was old and filled with character and so glad we made the stop over. Was with a five star .We look forward to returning.

BEWARE of current proprietor John Cook- he is a lying con man who will run up false charges on your credit card! He stole from my 82 year old mother and other family members when they stayed for a reunion. My mother won against him in court but will never see the money because he is a soulless grifter and piece of garbage who does this all of the time. Karma is coming for you, mister. It always does. I just found out this man has served time in KY. TBI needs to become involved- he’s conned countless people!

Amazing experience, food, service, historic, small town atmosphere. Prices great. Entertainment awesome. Fully recommend if you don't go in expecting a Hilton.

We had a great time staying at the Donoho.John, the manager, was very pleasant and helped us have an enjoyable visit. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. The food was excellent with plenty of choices. The cooks went above what was expected to make sure we enjoyed the meals. The Ronnie McDowell show was the best entertainment we have had.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel, we spent the weekend with Todd and Royce Havens. What a great time. John the owner is a great person now’s how to treat guest. If ever in the area this would be the place to stay. You just feel like you at home!

The hotel is more like a motel cluttered with flea market finds, rather than antiques. I reserved a king and got a small queen room. The room was clean but extremely small and had cheap plastic blinds with only a shear for the window. The bed was horrible, lumpy old mattress with cheap bedding and flat pillows. I left at dawn because there wasn’t a chair to try to sleep in. The walls seem paper thin as the you could hear everything. Dinner was average at best, the biscuits were canned, the dumplings had no chicken, the ham was pressed, macaronis overcooked, mashed potatoes great, creamed corn fair, the brownie was too hard to cut, nothing green, the staff appeared tired and seemed stressed. Ronnie McDowell was having a show in the entertainment center behind the hotel, the entertainment center was a metal building made into a large room on the inside with plastic tables and chairs, decor was nice in front of the stage but the table clothes and everything else was cheap plastic. It was BYOB, wish I had known brown bagging was permitted. The entertainment was wonderful, the band performed awesome and Ronnie McDowell was great! The owner was obnoxious and deceitful. In my opinion the only thing keeping the doors open is Ronnie McDowell and his fans.

Food not hot. Sign in bathroom stating water damage occurred last week in December but they were not able to get it fixed for New Years Eve..... It's March. Just tired and broke down. Very strong smell of gas.

This place was an amazing surprise. My cousin recommended it and it was more than expected. Friendly staff and country style food and clean rooms.Porches and rocking chairs, sitting areas and more. The Ronnie McDowell Entertainment Center on site. Hotel features Ronnie's art. If you are an Elvis fan you will be thrilled as well. Its like going back in time to a simpler time. I have never stayed anywhere like it! Its very impressive for being built in 1914. Taken care of with love and a great staff. Seen Ronnie McDowell's show and it was very entertaining.Modestly priced! Can't wait to visit again. If your timing is right you might get to meet Ronnie himself, he is very warm and friendly.
