“I stated attending this church as a child with my brother and sister. As an 18 year old girl I married my first husband. After I married I lost my way for awhile. I had since divorced and remarried. My husband and I have been married for 40 years. We moved to Joelton almost 25 years ago. Over 10 years ago I started coming back to FBCJ again. 8 years ago my husband turned his life around. He started attending FBCJ also. FBCJ is our second home and family. We love Brither David and the sermons he preaches. There’s no other church I’d want to attend.”

“I was in a really tight jam after the love of my life wanted a divorce. City of Faith helped me when everyone else turned me away. This church thinks and feels the same way I think and feel about life and love and that's why I'm here now! Come check us out guys, you won't miss a thing!!”
“I have been going to this church for a few months, my daughter is a member. I was so disappointed in the congregation yesterday it was the most disrespectful, disgraceful, disappointed, hurtful thing my daughter has ever experienced. She was almost in tears when we left.
My grandson has a delayed speech and he can't voice what he needs or want to say. So he makes a few moaning and humming sounds and sometimes it can be loud but yesterday it wasn't that loud. The people on the row beside of us and they were in the back of the congregation could see he was in distress but some unkind disrespectful people kept shhing him. Why would you shh a 2 yr old. The sermon was over and he was great through the service we were just waiting to take communion but a lady had started talking I guess people in the back couldn't hear as clearly as they wanted maybe if she had a microphone it would have been better. Finally after they kept shhing him my daughter got up to leave. I could see the sadness and a little anger in her eyes. He's a baby, what is wrong with people. I'm so disappointed that no one said anything to those inconsiderate people. It was heartbreaking to see my daughter experience that. Of course we will come back to the church. I am over 50 I have never ever seen or experienced something like that. I had a Pastor say years ago that the babies and kids don't bother them it's the grown folks that talk that's disruptive. I wish some people in that church had the same sentiment. That's why I gave it 4 star rating not 5 . My hurt wanted to give 3 star rating but God stepped in.”
“My son been going here on and off for 5 years. They do a great job. The only complaint was last time it took the Barber almost 2 hours to cut my son's hair. He was a newer guy. He did an ok job not the best for almost 2 hours. My son was so frustrated he came out crying. My advise will be to consider kids feelings when cutting. They get frustrated quickly so time is important. Usually a simple cut should last no longer then 45 minutes.. Anything longer then that for a kid is way to long. Mike the owner is amazing. This place books up fast and you can only book appts on the Boosky app. If you want a particular barber I suggest you try a few weeks ahead of time.”
“Beautiful parish. I used to spend many hours hear before COVID, just praying, meditating, journaling, and enjoying the space. I have not been there since COVID so I am not sure about the protocols but this was a great space to get away from the busyness.”
“Love this church! Everyone is so friendly! We felt so welcome from day one and I feel like we have already made life long friends. They are highly involved in helping the community and big on missions. Very giving church and glad to be apart of it!”
“I would recommend FBCR to everyone without hesitation. I grew up in a church home, but had some bad experiences with a few after I moved out on my own and left the church for 12 years. I always stayed true to my faith, but the building was corrupt with false teachings and too much focus on offerings and making money. This is the first church I have visited in over a decade that didn’t make me or my family feel pressured into church, offerings, or out of place in anyway. You will always feel welcome and apart of the fellowship. They focus on the teachings of Christ, worship, and fellowship. The church is very active in the community with many events year round. They don’t push Christ down your throat, but if you need to hear the gospel they will take as much time as needed to make sure you get it. The people of the church, after one visit, made it feel like home. I truly believe that they would be there for us if we ever needed it. Come to one service. Just one! You’ll keep coming back forever.”
