This is a great little hidden treasure just outside of Rock Island State Park. The restaurant is connected to the gas station, making it super funky. The food is great and priced really well. There's always a delicious special on the board too.

Outstanding southern cafe food. Had a simple fried chicken sandwich with white beans side. Both A+

This is a restaurant that is in the back of the store. Great potential and the servers were polite and attentive but the catfish was so undercooked we couldn't eat it. They did offer to cook some more for us but it also was under cooked! We didnt come for sushi. It was not white and flaky it was translucent and gooey. $24.00 down the drain! When she rang us up she asked how was your meal. Even after I told her she still charged us full price. Never going back to this place. That's for sure.

literally no one in the area seems to wear masks and I felt a little apprehensive going in here, however most people were polite and allowed distance between us since it might've been obvious I was a bit uncomfortable. Due to the amount of people without masks, I wouldn't recommend anyone immunocompromised or very anxious to come inside. The man and woman who were at the register were very nice and helped us find some stuff our cabin didn't have. We also went here for breakfast since there didn't seem to be much else around and it was one of the best decisions we made. The chicken tenders are perfect size to throw on the biscuits and everything was delicious (and extremely cheap!) We will definitely be grabbing breakfast here upon returning for another trip.
