If I could leave no stars, I would. I would take caution in purchasing any home from here. I closed at the end of May in 2023. I got to noticing the walls and ceiling. The dry wall tape had not been properly put on. Every corner in every room, the tape was coming up. This was also happening at the seams. They didn’t finish the wall completely in the secondary bathroom and just slapped a mirror up on it. There was a big gaping hole beside the mirror that they didn’t think anybody would see. The linoleum, in both bathrooms, have several cuts and rips where they didn’t want to correctly fit it to the floor. One wall had a huge blister that ended up cracking and a hole fell out in it. The grout, that is in the master bathroom shower, started cracking and flaking off. The wall wasn’t completely finished in the corner where the shower was put. Every plug in was busted under the cover. They were over tightened. And where they use “smart plug ins” or whatever they call them, you can’t replace them yourself without buying a special tool that is $50. I had to clean pencil/pen marks off from every closet where they had tried to mark where they wanted to put the metal closet racks. The master bedroom/bathroom area stays 15-20 degrees colder or hotter than any other room in the house. The carpet wasn’t kicked properly and it’s coming up at every floor transition strip. The center ceiling board/beam was cut too short and still slapped up there with a huge gap they didn’t even try to fill in.This is my first time purchasing a home and it has been nothing but a nightmare. I will never purchase another Clayton home.I’ve attached photos, but that’s not nearly all of them.

I just stopped in to pick up a trailer to be pulled, and I’ll tell you it looked like it ant farm. So many workers was moving around back-and-forth and they looked like they were happy doing their job and it was a environment that anyone would want to work in. I actually thought about asking for an application because like I said, they look like they were happy.

Buying my retirement home in TN from them. Was recommended to them by my mortgage guys. He said they are the easiest to work with out of all the manufactured home companies. Looking forward to our new home.

Visited the lot and toured the homes. Set up nicely. I like that they had prices posted. Sales folks weren't pushy.

We bought our mfg home that was built in 2020, in 2021. Since then, during all our thunderstorms and wind storms this year, our roof has had 3 leaks. We are now in the process of filing an insurance claim to get a new roof. The adjusters told us, this roof was not put on right. They used the wrong nails and they didnt lay them down right. This is unacceptable as a new home.

Bought a 2017 Cumberland series home. We have had to file 3 claims on the roof. They only put on the minimum hud quality shingles which is rated to 60 mph which in Tn is a joke. They didn't install it correctly according to a prof roof we had to get to fix shingle damage the other 2 times we had to fix it without a claim. Our ac has never worked right. Very little flow out of resisters and in summer on 68 it kept the house 81. , Underneath all cabinets were open and it lead to a mouse problem. This house is a nightmare

Saw a model and loved it. Bought the Rutledge Brookline Flex 32 modular. We absolutely love our home BUT!!!! A few issues as I edit this review.1. Took almost 2 years from start to finish which hurt us financially because the interest rates went sky rocket during the process which means our locked rate went into a balloon under a construction loan.2. Giving the nature of the home, it is well built but the floors are uneven with nail pops throughout. ( Floors Only)3. Electrical - rooms are connected to each other, believing each room should be on a separate circuit which over loads and pops the breakers constantly. Example, master bedroom and bathroom are tied into the living room. Not to mention the outside recepticle is also tied into the master bathroom and living room. So much for Christmas lights.4. Seems the ceiling is warping more and more everyday like the house is having a bending issue.5. Siding has been replaced several times and continues to buckle and twist.6. Big plus, wall cracks have been very minimal.7. Wall paint isn't paint, more like drywall primer with a tint. Splotchy throughout the home.8. Trim is not what I expected, the model seems very different.9. Big deal to me but not to my wife, the house was ordered without a dormer. We received with a dormer.10. When it comes to land final grading, seed and straw. Was told after the fact they are only required to do the bare minimum. Wife and I hired a company to come out to do it the way it should be done.So much more to list but I believe the office we worked with are doing what they can to rectify the issues. The siding and ceiling are my biggest concern at the moment.Service: Home building

**EMPLOYMENT SEEKERS BEWARE**I gave a yr almost 2yrs of my life to this company it was the worst experience I've ever had they are set in their big corporate mentality & they will underpay u, work u to death, nvr any appreciation, & the moment they get to play with it money or make up some bogus accusations to fire u they will I strongly advise anyone looking to apply with this company NOT todo so they are highly uneducated & will even go as far as to put their hands on u when u do try & leave bc they think they are above the law & it's bc we the grunts dnt mean anything to them the plant manager Dan is unprofessional as they come & if u ever have any issues needing resolved forget ab it unless ur licking their boots & after seeing 1st hand how they build their "homes" I'd never buy one!!

Their quality and workmanship is poor. So many things that are shabby. Things not square. Miss cuts. Walls not sanded shower door falling off cabinets not square and miss aligned door frames and trim loose and not properly installed. I bought a Tahoe. Stay away from this home and this manufacture. They won’t respond. They don’t care!!! Got your money and that’s all they care about. The only thing that I’ve been impressed with is theService crew that is trying to fix my problems. They are great guys. Always doingThe extra thingService: Home building
