This post office should be closed. They serve absolutely no purpose and certainly do not serve the customers. I avoid USPS at all if I can and the reason is behind counter on the the carriers. They are a disgrace to a once proud and efficient service.

This post office in Rutledge has LIED to me all day about a $500 package of mine!!! Was delivered Monday to the wrong address, but today I call and go there and they tell me it’s in the mail lady’s car? Why lie? Own up to your mistakes! PLEASE STOP HIRING IDIOTS WHO CANT READ HOUSE NUMBERS!!!!!

Item was misrouted to 37861, supposed to be 37742. Online tracking shows it not moving. Upon calling the Agent knew nothing more than what was already in tracking online. Said wait longer, and that she was unable to email or call that 37861 PO. Originally promised the 16th.

So I order some expensive shop lights through Amazon. They are 8' long. Amazon delivered them to the Rutledge post office. They said they could not deliver them because of their size. So I went to the post office with my truck to pick them up. The postal clerk said he could not release them because we owed $100 fee, because they're over sized. This made no sense to me at all, I mean they're not delivering them and we're there to pick them up why charge us anything? I called the USPS, service department and they verified this is their policy and if Amazon or us don't pay the fee with in 14 days they will dispose of the lights at they're discretion. Amazon is sending a new set of light to us through UPS today. Bottom line someone at the post office just got a free set of expensive lights for Christmas. Thanks USPS!

If I could give zero stars I would got a notification saying my package was being held at the post office even tho it was supposed to be delivered I get here and they say I will have to come back and pic it up tomorrow even tho the package is here. Drove all the way here for no reason might wanna put that on the notice.

So I bought big mail box placed hand written sign on it and still have my packages threw in yard along with everyday getting others mail in my box so who knows where mine is. Do not use USPS in Grainger county TN you will be sadly disappointed this is the 4th time online order ruined due to this. Awful service

Postal driver are too lazy to deliver packages. My address is verified and everything was right. Postal driver said address doesn’t exist and said will attempt again. They sent my package back.

The mail carriers lie and say they delivered a package this Saturday. It never arrived. I know it will magically show up today, and they will act like nothing happened. But Amazon and USPS tracking both show it was delivered on Saturday. This is the result of a lazy postal worker, lying to their employer because they didn't complete their job, but wish to keep it.

The lady at the desk was very rude and acted like she didn't have time to wait on me. When I ask her a question she acted like I was a idiot and had no idea what I was saying then she moved me out of line to wait on others.
