When I initially signed up, I spoke with a Mgr. named Mattie. I told her that I would only be in town for a few months and just needed somewhere to lift while I was in town. She told me that I could sign up there and as long as I live 20 miles away, It would be very easy to cancel. So now that it is time for me to cancel, I'm told that there's no way for me to cancel. I live 2 hours away and now work 2 hours away and there will never be a reason for me to be down there anymore. I have spoke to representatives on the phone for at least 5 hours. I have sent and received numerous emails. No one is really out to help. People just want to talk over you and tell you that you had a misunderstanding. There was no misunderstanding, I was lied to directly.Apparently a lot of people have been lied to directly. On top of that, they want you to jump through a ton of hoops that you will never be informed of by a person where you sign up. They just expect you to read and understand all of the minutiae and fine print.-They want you to send documentation of your new address.-They want you to send them a cashier check of $195-They need a pay stub from the new job that is more than 20 miles away from the original establishment.-They won't allow you to leave a contract if there is a gym in the area you are moving to.- after they receive a certified letter including all this, They can either deny it or accept it.- you will also be billed the whole time All of this is going on after you send the certified letter.- your primary residence and where you work both have to move and be more than 20 mi away from any national fitness in order to get out of a contract.-When I called and tried to explain what I was told by Mattie, It seems like it they don't want to hear anything I have to say.As I have more and more interactions with representatives of the company, I get more and more curious how things operate.I started looking things up on the better Business bureau, consumer affairs, and even some reddit threads. As you read these, you find out that this is more of a timeshare racket than a gym. There are numerous complaints of people that have cancer or that have even died, and they still won't let these people or their families out of contracts.Do not trust anyone you talk to. They will say what they need to say in order to help their bottom line and revenue. It is all about the dollar and has nothing to do with people or customer service. Please don't be trusting like I was. If I can help someone from entrapping themselves, please hear what I have to say and research everything yourself before making a decision!!I am meeting with a lawyer on Wednesday. I will update as I find out more.

I wish I had read these reviews before I joined. Don't join any gyms that have contracts. If you have a crystal ball and know the next two years of your life is going to be perfect, go to one with contracts otherwise you are paying for nothing.I've been seeing a lot of NFC adds on TV. In this economy just go to one that is month to month. Life happens and unfortunately contracts only favor the business.

Top notch gym. It is kept very clean and sanitary. The amenities are endless. I decided to get a trainer and Christi is absolutely amazing. She is very knowledgeable and very motivating. I have already lost 13 pounds training with her in a little over a month, and I feel better than I have felt in years physically and mentally. I am very grateful for the ladies in the childcare center also. Although ALL the ladies in there are angels, special thanks to Cassandra and Tabitha. My daughter is in their care the most. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the establishment. Thank you!

Gym offers a $20 daily fee for those on vacation or business travel. Has everything you need. Early 5am opening time provides individuals time to meet their agenda for the day.

Impossible to talk with the "only" person on-site that can do anything regarding membership issues. They can't keep personal trainers, thus meaning if you sign up for that service, you get ripped off due to the revolving door of trainers, so basically they have your money and you have nothing in return for what you were paying for.If restitution isn't made, then this will be provided to the media to investigate, as I know my husband and I aren't the only ones being ripped off. Also, if the "ONLY" Person that can handle membership issues can't be there to cover more hours than 10am-5pm, then they need an extra person so that the hours are covered from open to close. It's a simple concept, however like everything else we've encountered with NFC that type of thing is extremely elusive.

I pay extra money for a buddy pass membership so I can bring whoever I want every time I go to the gym. They make whoever my “buddy” is leave their ID at the front desk until they are done working out. Mildly strange but whatever. Well they apparently now take your ID, which is state property, and run your information against collections etc WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT and I’m honestly not sure if that’s legal. The front desk agent wouldn’t give my friends ID back to him before giving it to another coworker while he was actively eating lunch and the whole situation was weird and uncomfortable and come to find out, there was no reason he wasn’t allowed there. Also they keep things like kettle bells, TRX straps, weighted balls, and I’m sure a few other things I’m forgetting at the moment locked up in the personal training area where members can’t use the items unless you are in a training session which you also have to sign a wild contract for and pay even more money.

Love the gym but leadership is not flixible at all and have no flexibility at all, so it started that I made a decision to focus on helping my daughter , she chose the wrong path , and I ask for a 4 month suspension of my account because I had to afford legal help and medical help, which strapped us financially, the office person said ok but you still have to pay your dues???? So whats they point stupid, sonic course the gym comes after you like the FBIs most wanted?? Then I requested the start the membership again by paying 3 or 4 months and start back oh no!!! You need to pay off the $3k then we can start over? When given the option focus on saving my daughter or pay the gum sorry NF my kid wins, compassion is not easy to come by anymore!!??

They have a pool. The place is huge with 2 floors. There are several workout machines, a free weight room, and there is a room with about a dozen treadmills in front of a TV that has Netflix on it. They have all kinds of classes like spin class. A hydromassage table. And there is a space for children to play while the parents work out. You can have a personal trainer, and they can give you health assessment using lidar laser scanning. To them, it is not the weight as much as losing fat and inches. This is a great place with friendly people.

Had a great experience while in town on vacation. Melissa and Zack went above and beyond to tell me about the layout and many amenities (sauna, steam room, pool, hot tub, and extensive gym). I fully recommend this place and could not get over the exceptional service given to someone who was only there for a few day passes. Many thanks to NFC

POTENTIAL MEMBERS BEWARE!!!! READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY! I joined this gym as it was the closest one to me as I had just moved to Tennessee. On the surface, it looks like a good deal for everything they offer. Pool, spa, childcare, movie room, group classes, cardio equipment and free weights. After reluctantly signing a 36 month contract, I soon realized what a mistake I made choosing this place. A lot of the equipment is broken, spa is dirty, gym equipment is not maintained and dirty. Why pay a biannual "maintenance fee" if nothing is repaired or replaced?? It's a B.S. fee! The included group class is a joke! The instructor didn't show up for a class, no explanation. Another time, the cardio treadmill class instructor was not in shape herself! How is she supposed to motivate the rest of us, if we are in better shape than her? If you want to take the private group class, there is an extra charge. On top of all this, I relocated out of Tennessee, and then there is a $195 cancellation fee (ridiculous 4 month fee!!) plus you need to send a letter by certified mail and a 30 day notice to cancel, so you end up paying another month of membership, 5 months total!!!! Absolutely ridiculous! I wrote a letter to the president, Lee Sloan, which he never bothered to respond! So unprofessional overall, gym and owner! Most of their locations all have the same negative reviews and complaints! I hope this company goes out of business!! There are much better options available for much less money!

We love coming to NFC. Our kids love the child care. The smoothies are great. Friendly environment for people who aren’t comfortable in the big gym setting. Everyone is very helpful.

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. Seriously the worst gym I’ve ever visited. We are from out of town and they charged us an OUTRAGEOUS amount just four a day pass! The lady up front was very rude and told us if we didn’t like the price, to get lost. There was no childcare available so our child would have had to sit on a chair unsupervised. We will NEVER return!

Traveling medical student. I never do reviews but felt as the need was great seeing the price contrast. The Sevierville Community Center and Leconte Wellness Center are joint institutions have monthly memberships for $50, and yearly for $105! Yes yearly for $105. This place quoted me $85 for one month. Anyhow both the aforementioned places are connected and memberships work with both so I went with them, I can go to either during my clinical rotation for the month for $50. Hoping to save some people money with this review. Peace
