They should hire more people, is very hard to find anyone to help. But those who are available are very nice!

This Lowe's carries nothing you need. If your fridge goes out you have to wait a week to get one. No rain gauges. The management in this store has no clue how to run a store. It's ashame I have to go to a different town to purchase something this stores don't have.

Literally the worse experience Ive had in the customer service industry. The incompetence and unwillingness to help was mind blowing. I purchased a chainsaw a year ago. The chain saw had a 5 year warranty. When I called customer service 1-800, I was told to take it in and they will fix/replace. Well I called twice before making the drive, I was put on hold for about 15 minutes and I was transferred to the tool department, this is already the third person who validated they would honor the warranty. Upon arrival I explained the situation to Lawra. She gave me a lot of push back and didn't have the nicest attitude, first she said she won't take it back because they only accept a 90 day window or I had to purchase a protection plan(incorrect) after talking to a manager (fifth person) he told me I had to call the warranty department. So I did from the store, the gentleman (person #6) gave me a reference number and said give it to customer service. Lawra again with the attitude refuses to help and said she also needed a return number. Another manager came. Person #7(Erica) and she said they don't need a guidance, also not very nice. Well I called from the store (2 hours in) the warranty department again, the second guy there told me they don't need any return number, that's internal and they process this. Lawra clearly has no clue how to do her job or treat people nicely. So after (person #8) the second manager Erica said she would take it and another guy in customer service "helped me". His name is Curtis(person #9). 2.5 hours in. Are you keeping up???? It gets worse. So Curtis gave me a store credit instead of a refund, I found out later store credit is only when you don't have a receipt (incompetence at its finest). Also Curtis, didn't tell they didn't have the same saw before hand but he said I was able to use the store credit card online(Incorrect). So I tried to place the order online hours later to find out you can't use store credit online. So I called customer service 1-800 (person #10 and #11) I was transferred to a manager to explain the story. Then I was told I had to go back to the store and use the card, well this time I went to the Murfreesboro location (very nice people) and they explained they can't place online order using store credit (person #12). I was also late to pick up my 1 year old from day care. Long story Short I had to buy again the chain saw online with money and I was unable to use the store credit. By far the worse people I had to deal with. I will never again go to this location. Lawra, Erica and Curtis. All of you suck big time and should be retrained or replaced. The end.

I bought a washer from Lowes. Has been making noise since the return window was up. I bought a dryer. Has been making noise since the return window was up. I bought a water heater. Have had issues since day one and still get water in the pan periodically. No return window. I bought an OTR microwave. Just randomly quits working, then works again after the store return window was over. Bought a refrigerator from Home Depot during covid and haven't had a single issue. If you don't want to deal with a bunch of garbage phone time with manufacturers getting the run around with Lowes, buy the extended warranty and have them install. Or go to Home Depot.

People please watch your receipts
Especially in the lumber department. Bout a 1x6x10 to make a repair and was charged a dollar and some change more than the price tag showed
You may say ok a dollar and some change. But a independent contractor person wants to charge for a whole deck. Well he looks up the price and it's cheaper. OK so he quotes price for deck per lumber cost and is charged more that comes out his bottom line. So yeah. Check your receipts from there store b4 you leave. Just a heads up..

The pro experience here is mediocre. I receive better service at the Lowes in Tullahoma. I have yet to find a decent 2x4 here either. I frequently shop at home improvement stores, atleast 4 times a week in my line of work, and this location has been less than favorable in my personal experience.

This Lowes is smaller than many surrounding areas Lowes and does not carry many of the same items that the surrounding locations do. It is often hard maneuvering through the aisles with shopping carts yet we are thankful to have a Lowes in our small town! Last review updated 02/26/2024

Purchased a home in Shelbyville a few months ago and have had to visit this store several times. Every trip I have experienced excellent customer service from being greeted as I walk in to someone helping with advice on our projects. The store seems to always be well stocked and clean and have exactly what I need which seems to be rare at other home improvement stores anymore. Awesome job to all employees at this location!!
