Just checked out. This was an amazing and fun! We opted for the haunted tour, night canoe trip. We didn't see any ghosts (my daughter did) but we felt something off once or twice. We got to play with the ghost box - found a headstone with my daughter's birthday (Will's) and she said "that's my birthday Will" and we both clearly heard a male say "Happy birthday", among other things, through the static breaks. Even my son and his gf heard the other responses. I have only 2 things to complain about (assuming my son heard correctly) no phone camera flashes, so no pictures. No. 2 is I'd have loved to stay in the graveyard with the ghost box for hours if I could have- only with the security of a group though. Sam is an amazing story guide, I felt perhaps some of his experiences there might be something he can't quite make go away - we could see some spirits might have made their homes in his life. He tells the stories with emotion, passion, and authenticity. It was cold but that's on me waiting till season end. We had little moonlight, so it was very dark, which made the star filled sky beyond breathtaking. The stars, night canoe, everything was really spectacular. Did you know there are no currents in a lake apparently, yet my daughter in law and I were fighting currents.... no wind... so whatever it was pushing and pulling us was very persistent and very present. At one point I couldn't shake that sensationthat something was following me; then my left side was a little colder than my right - then my DIL said she felt something pushing her exactly where I was feeling that "something". That made me certain I wasn't wrong about it being there. My son and I noticed a white figure in a tree and thought duh, it's probably "tree". But when I got him to get a phone open for pics, (no flash) we both watched it vanish. I won't say we witnessed ghosts, but I won't say we had nothing happen either. Aside from this specific experience- we all learned we enjoyed canoeing and want to learn. We plan to go back when it's warm weather and get good so that by October 2024 - we'll be ready to conquer the haunted cove! We haven't had a chance to share or look over the pics we did get- if I find anything great I'll be back to add them.

What a fun river adventure. Relaxing and gorgeous views. The crew was very helpful up front and drove us to drop off and picked us up. Equipment was in good condition and so were vehicles for transport. Was visiting from out of state and we had a great time. Some had canoes, some had kayaks, it was a mixed bag. Would come back again. Take your family and friends here next time they're visiting.

We had an awesome time. We often do historical/ghost tours but this was a first for my teenaged son who really enjoyed it! The Storyteller did a great job presenting the history. Will be back.

Did the Haunted Canoe trip and had a blast! All the ushers were very nice, and going on Halloween was a great idea. We booked the VIP gold option and it was well worth it for a meal. They did something a little different than normal this evening and we got to take a pontoon boat instead of canoe. We’re so thankful because it was windy. Connor was our knowledgable ghost hunting guide and Sam the storyteller knew how to weave a haunting tale! Would definitely like to come back for their normal tours and to do another haunted trip next year!

Awesome tour! Sam was the best tour guide and told his own stories and nothing was scripted. The canoe ride at night was beautiful! Totally recommend this!

It's 1:30 am and I just ate dinner after the horrendous Haunted Canoe Trip. We drove 3 hours to camp and do the 8pm tour. My wife got a text saying that we should arrive 30 to 40 minutes early due to a "large group". We rushed to get there and we're probably 45 minutes early. Well... we started 40 minutes late. 8 pm start became a 8:40 start. Arrived at the graveyard starting point. And we met Sam, a very nice man and proud local. I wouldn't say anything negative about this man. However...the entire tour was beyond boring and dragged on forever. We didn't get to the canoes until almost 11:00 pm. All the canoe tour consists of is paddling around in the water to a cove and being told another story by Sam. Probably the 20th story. Now it isn't all his fault because when you have idiots on the tour walking around with "EMF" detectors and asking stupid ass questions, it makes the tour EVEN LONGER!!! It was almost midnight before we got back to the starting point. We were starving, tired and bored into a coma. It wasn't a haunted anything. No jump scares, no costumes, no decorations, nothing that a normal person might expect. DO NOT take this tour unless you want to be bored to death and ready to kill yourself and become a story in Sam's repertoire. Very very pissed and disappointed we wasted our time and money in this.

We had booked a haunted canoe trip for 2 couples. When we arrived they hyped up the ghost hunters tour at $20 a person extra. Sounded fun, included a EMF reader to alert you when “spirits” came close to you. We paid and they gave us one reader for the four adults and sent us on our way.Bus dropped us off and the ghost Hunter lead us up a trail that had paranormal activity. Went maybe 1-200 feet, he shined a light in the woods and then we headed back down to start the basic tour. Such a waste of $80.Sam was the story teller and he was fine, nice guy, Good stories. The problem I have besides the ghost hunt is we signed up for a haunted canoe trip. We made it to the boats after maybe an hour or so of standing and walking got in the water and peddled about 200 yards and that was it, paddled back because that was the end of the tour.I was expecting so much more and because I love to canoe and kayak my disappointment was overwhelming. For the record I did talk to the person behind the desk and all they had to say was thank you for telling me and that was it?

Had a great time on the Haunted Canoe Trip (8:00PM tour) with Sam and Nick. They kept our group entertained. Having a local person to share the stories of an area is always an amazing thing. Sam definitely kept us laughing - including on the bus ride back. Canoeing on the lake at night was a wonderful experience. I definitely recommend!!

My grandma took me and my young kiddos on a canoe down the Caney and it was so much fun! Super pretty, kid friendly and not a ton of strenuous work. There is a light flow on the river and when we went the water levels were relatively low which allowed for us to get out and poke around in the river which was really cool! Water was clear and beautiful. All the workers were very kind and did a great job taking care of us. Prices were very affordable and worth the drive! We will be coming back!
