Be careful dealing with those people. The manager is very rude. They’re a group of gangs . They told me they unable to fix my car and asked me to leave my rental car and kept the rental car for their personal use for two weeks and their manager was involved in that.If you had to work with remember to record your miles and keep a picture of the mechanic taking your keys. They are assuming they don’t have cameras to save them crimes.

After a very mild fender bender my insurance company referred me here for some body work. I was told they were highly rated. Took me a few weeks to even get the appointment for my estimate. Then it was going to be another month before I could get the actual repair. Less than a week before my appointment I'm contacted and told I have to start my process all over because they didn't know they couldn't work on my model vehicle. So I've been sitting for over a month waiting on repairs that could never be done. Now I get to start all over because their staff doesn't know what they're capable of doing. Not the service I was expecting.*EDITWell my above statement remains true I would like to add to this review that the general manager did call me and apologize for their mix-up and misunderstanding. I was assured that the staff had gone through retraining to learn what their mechanics and their Auto body shop were actually capable of. I appreciate him reaching out so I'm taking my one-star review to a 3-star review.

My trunk wouldn't close because something was pulled out of place. Took the car to Gerber fearing an expensive repair that could take several days. They fixed it within minutes and wouldn't take any money! Will definitely be using them in the future if I need body work doneService: General repairs & maintenance

Brian and his team are amazing! They are some of the kindest people I have met, especially when getting my car fixed. They explained the time it would be done and made it happen even when other things were delayed. They worked above and beyond and my car looks beautiful! Had an amazing experience and would recommend them to anyone looking for collision or glass repair! Thank you all so much for your hard work!

My wife and I had a freak accident happen to us on Insterstate 24 going towards Chattanooga through Smyrna last week. The windshield was starting to cave in and we had to call our insurance provider, after them recommending a few in the area we came across Gerber Collision and Glass. Are we ever alleviated that we happened to find them because other places were telling us the glass would not be ready until the following week which was not possible with our budget for vacation (being from Canada). Shannon was so kind and understanding towards out situation and did everything in her power to have AAA Glass come on site to perform the work in a 48 hour turnaround; a miracle to say the least. Brian was also very understanding of our situation and kept our vehicle secured in the garage overnight to protect the windshield from caving in from potential theft or weather elements. We cannot thank you enough and cannot say enough about this business, it is living proof that humanitarianism still exists and would highly recommend this business. Anybody can have an auto shop, but the Gerber staff went above and beyond for us and we will forever be grateful for their kindness and getting us back on the road to our next destination.Service: Auto glass repair

I took my vehicle to them as an Allstate partner provider after a minor collision when a car darted in front of me. Since it was an older vehicle, the cosmetic damage (scuffed bumper, broken headlight and side mirror, scratched fender) was enough for Allstate to declare it a total loss. I suspected that it might be out of alignment, too, and Gerber suggested a tire vendor that could assess it better. It was successful. So after an alignment, a new mirror and headlight, I'm back on the road while I wait for Allstate and I to agree on damages (an entirely separate story). I wish Gerber didn't have to use OEM and new parts on an 18 year old serviceable vehicle. Otherwise, I would give them my business. The entire staff is thoroughly professional and extraordinarily helpful.

These folks must make lots of money because when I brought my van in to get looked at all they did was ask me a bunch of questions and then tell me my van was too big to fit into their bay....they didn't even go outside to take a look at it! Two Thumbs Down! Booo!

I brought my vehicle in for repair at Gerber because they were on the "approved" list and they came recommended by others. They had to do the work twice and it still wasn't to my satisfaction. I finally gave up and took it to the dealer for the final item. I don't know if the representative just didn't get it or just did the minimum hoping I would give up, but he was content with "close enough". They caused a lot of extra effort and time spent on my end by not doing the work correct the first time. Not returning phone calls, having to drop off the vehicle a second time, no rental, having to drop off the vehicle at the dealer to complete the repairs, all could have been avoided..

Wow. Avoid this place at all costs. Allstate scheduled me for an estimate here back in August. I received a call the day prior informing me that the appt would have to be rescheduled. I rescheduled with them. When I arrived, I waited 20 minutes for someone to show up and was informed that I did not have an appointment. I rerescheduled and my estimate was completed (after a 30 minute wait), however, they did not have an opening for repairs for 4 months. It took them 6 weeks to submit my estimate to Allstate, which was a problem as I had already scheduled repair with Maaco to commenced before the estimate was submitted. Each time Allstate or I called to inquire about the status of the estimate (when the phone was actually answered), the receptionist took a message, resulting in no call back - ever. I even went there physically and was not allowed to speak to anyone who could help. I really got the impression that customer service is not high on their list of priorities. Given this experience I would not use their repair services if they were free!

Very unhappy with the results we paid cash out of pocket to have a vehicle repaired and poor quality assurance and wasted time Was told the truck was done 3 times and it wasn't came to pick it up today and it still is not done

No contact from Business until they were contacted and told to contact me, not until then did I hear from them, but no need to speak to them, their actions spoke for them. Also now that someone from there sent a reply to my post they blocked me from replying back to them, what does that say about them ??

This is the first time of having to use a collision repair business in quite a while. I was extremely pleased with the estimate process with Brent and the timliness of receiving the quote.When the parts came in for the repair I was notified and chose a day to drop off. When I arrived the front desk receptionist was amazing and communicated the process while my vehicle was in the shop. Scott lined up a shuttle ride home when Uber didn't show up (5 star). While my vehicle was in their possession I received an automated step by step report of where exactly my car was in being done. Got a message my car was done 1 day early and couldn't have been more thankful for the customer service I received. Stellar 5 star service! Thank you Gerber Collision Smyrna.
