Everytime I go, one of the employees is rude. Not sure if she is the manager but she is not pleasant. I set the bar low for retail Employees because I know it can be exhausting but this girl sucks. Lately We’ve been getting Christmas gifts during the sales and my boyfriend didn’t get enough of the wrapping supplies on his visit, so I was going to grab some more tonight with my $35 purchase I made. When I went to grab 2-3 of the cellophanes, The girl working said THATS FOR US. Which is interesting because when my boyfriend went up there the other day to get his sister & cousins gifts, the employee told him to take as much as he needs. I go to this location because it’s closest to me but I will most likely be spending my money elsewhere.

First time shopping at Buff City Soap! It was recommended by a guest where I work as I was complimenting the way she smelled.
Beth, who is an incredibly lovely woman and a well spring of knowledge, answered all of my queries! I have a skin condition, as does my young son and was very nervous about switching to new soaps and detergents. I ultimately purchased a hand soap to try and Beth sent me home with a tester of a couple different bar soaps and detergent! I’m excited to try them and see how our skin responds! I’m so hopeful to come back and buy a full bottle of detergent and soaps! 💖💖

I went to Buff City Soaps for the first time about a month ago. I had not heard of this brand before coming to Smyrna. I love all kinds of hand-made soaps, so I was very curious.
Here are my personal opinions.
Pros:
As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted and asked if I needed any help.
As my first time there, I wanted to see everything and smell everything. So I was there for a while.
A couple of different times, I was asked if I needed anything. I didn't, as I was content with looking around on my own. I know if I did have a question, those ladies would have been happy to help.
The store is super clean and organized. There are nice big spaces between the displays. Scent was not overwhelming when you walked in.
Check out was easy and quick. She helped me sign up for the rewards card also.
As far as customer service experience - A++
Soap lasts a long time. Good lather and rinses clean.
I also purchased a hanging car freshner. I hadn't seen these mentioned anywhere. They had some really cute designs. Most hang-up freshners are very strong when you first take them out. Not these. It was very lightly scented. I don't feel like they last very long, though.
Cons:
I want to love this soap. I really do! But, I have a few issues with it.
1. The scent.
I chose the patouli. I love the scent, but it is not very strong. When I purchased it, I thought it might be the kind that smells stronger once it's wet. Not so much. It does leave a light scent on your skin for a short time. Which is perfect for those who like the lighter scents. As a suggestion, maybe make a batch that is much stronger scented for people like me. Make one batch and advertise that it is available for purchase. Once it is gone, then make a batch with a different scent and continue on the process.
2. Texture
The bar I purchased is a dark brown with gold swirls. It looks like the swirls are just on top for decoration. Sadly, no, they are all the way through the bar.
The problem with this is- as the bar is worn down, the gold swirls tend to break up and stand out more. They can be pretty rough on the skin. If you have a bug bite or, worse, a scab, it will rip it right off.
At first, I thought maybe I bought the exfoliate kind by accident. Since they are supposed to have loofah peices in them, that Is not what I have.
3. Color
On the whole, I don't really care what color the soap is. But, it is a bit surprising to see such brown water go down the drain.
The suds are white and brown rinses off of you.
4. Ingredients
Their statement/mission is all about the ingredients that they do or do not use. It is pretty difficult to find a list of ingredients for the different products. In fact, the only way to find out is by contacting the main company directly.
The only ingredients that are mentioned in the FAQ are palm oil, baking soda (laundry soap), and fragance oils. I would like it to be simpler. As in a section on the website that lists ingredients for each product. It shouldn't feel like such a secret.

Buff city it amazing. I've been to many different locations and they've all been pretty great. I use their laundry soap and once I started I haven't stopped. So many different options for scents that you are guaranteed to find one you love. The Paris scent is my favorite which is a mix of Commando, White Jasmine and Sandalwood. Highly recommend trying it out. For men, Commando is a good scent that has that Mena cologne scent but it's overbearing and I also use it for my laundry too. I switch it up quite a bit. U can basically get whatever scent u want in anything. Their body oil is amazing, candles, wax melts and car fresheners. They also lets kids make their own half bath bomb if you ask. They get to pick the colors they put in and it's a fun little thing for them to do while there. My kids are obsessed with her bath bombs.

My first time at a buff city soap.. and I'm impressed!!! Staff was super friendly. A girl named Nyla got me together! She explained how things were made, walked me through every single product, it really meant alot to me she took alot of time and helped me make a big birthday box for my mom. Love the scent booster and shower fizzie!

I want to love their soap, but it seems like as soon as I got the soap home all the scent disappeared. I do like the laundry soap though. It's lasted me a long time
