I wish I could give a zero. My family had an important trip that we needed a rental car for. We reserved a car from Avis in Smyrna, a little more than a week and a half before our trip. They had already charged my credit card and two hours before we were supposed to pick up our car, we got a message saying that they didn't have a car. After a phone call they said that they were going to pick up some cars and that they may have a car for us that day. I figured if they already charged my credit card, that they should have something arranged for us. So, now we are in an emergency situation that we need a car and now we have over $500 charged on a card that we can't get back. Thank goodness we had a family member that helped us out and let us borrow their truck. Even though it wasn't ideal, since it poured rained the entire way, we still got there, with no help from Avis. The only thing we have now is that we have a credit on our credit card since we paid it off so quickly. I hate that we finally were going with a local business and we were totally stuck in the mud. Thank goodness for family or we would have missed out on a very important trip that we would have forever been upset about missing. Now, I will never go with Avis in Smyrna because they obviously were quick to charge our credit card but were not quick to help us get the car that we obviously had arranged to use. And by the way, my husband had to make all the phone calls to make sure everything was in order. Avis was literally NO HELP to us. So, if I was you I would pick another place to rent a car.

Great service but the vehicle I rented was not cleaned at all. Still had trash under the seat from previous renter. I didn’t make a huge deal out of it as I didn’t have time to wait so I took it home and vacuumed it myself. This is my first and probably my last time using Avis.

This Hertz location does not exist anymore. Called the numer from Google Maps, made a reservation came here to the airport just to find out that this location is closed. Marked it on Google Maps that it's closed and I got an email confirming that my edit was live but still showing as open. Phone number listed here on Google Maps will reach the Murfreesboro location next to Kroger that is several miles south.

This place is so unprofessional, never been in a situation where I made a reservation and the representative call me to say that they will be out of the office.... WHAT?! I absolutely would recommend that any one who has to come here, check around to other rental companies, make this place a very last resort! Consider yourself warned.....

I called around 8:00 a.m. to rent a car. The representative was very slow, did not listen to me and took 25 minutes to process my order. I told the clerk I needed a car because I had car trouble so I was not sure how many days I would need it for. The clerk said I would need a return ticket voucher to rent a car. When I ask for an explanation, he said the return flight ticket from the airport. Really??? My flipping car is broke down...I am not traveling!!!! FINALLY, He told me I could pick the car up by 11:00 a.m. At 10:20, they called me back and told me a car would not be available until late this afternoon. So much for customer service!!!!! I will never use this company and I would suggest you do not either if you need to rent a car!

The guy was so slow and when I finally got a car it smelled like cigarettes. When I mentioned it the guy said they wouldn't charge me for it but refused to find me another car. I ended up bringing it back later that day because the smell gave me a headache and he gave me a new smaller car that wasn't cleaned and had no gas in it.

I've always been a fan of Enterprise but the at fault driver's insurance referred me to this place while my vehicle was getting worked on. It's a very small room and from my understanding, it's one agent and his boss. The gentleman is very friendly, awesome interpersonal skills, and talkative but if you're in hurry, you may want to consider another Hertz location. While he was checking me out, his computer kept messing up on him.. Since it was an insurance rented car, I only had two options. When I returned the rental, it appeared there were a lot of cars there.

Arrived to pick up my RESERVED vehicle only to be told that they have no cars at all! Are they missing the point of a RESERVATION? Never again. Avoid this place at all costs. I wasn't even given any options... just sorry... we have no cars.

They did not have our car available when we went to go pick up our reserved vehicle. We were told we could get a van for $400 more, we opted out. We were also told that they were getting more cars in and that we would have to wait. We were fine with that, but the guy said he would call and deliver the car when they arrived later that day. It is now the next day and we still have no rental car nor did we receive a phone call. Renting a car has never been so difficult.

Worst place ever. Setting up rental car fine. Dropping off rental car fine. I returned car after hours and handed aviation center the keys and note to email receipt. No receipt was emailed. I called and regave them the email to send again. Failed. Called again to ask to send receipt. Failed. Lady answering completely unapologetic and incapable. I'll never use this hertz again.
