I went to redwing in Smyrna and never have been a customer and I thought I knew what I needed to know about work boots until the first person with the brightest smile and attention was fixed upon me from the time I got there to the time I left. Her name was Lindsey and she told me all about the services available even if I felt unconfident in the shoe that they would have my back so I got some shoes and decided they weren't right for me. I came back the next week and there she was again with the same attitude and attention. She made sure I was taken care of just like she had stated before, gave me a refund for the old boots and swapped for new ones with insoles I never knew would help so much. I'm definitely coming back to this location. She had amazing story about her because I asked how she was so positive and outgoing and it honestly inspired me to live happier day to day. So nice to meet you Lindsey!

This was the first time I visited a Redwing store. I was taken care of from the moment I walked in the door. Greg was very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. He completed my feet analysis and went over the results with me. We talked about my needs and the type of shoe I was looking for. He suggested that I try one shoe with an upgraded inner sole so I can test the difference. He made sure I was comfortable with my choice and checked me out. It was a great experience!

I had a tough day and was really sore, needing some new shoes.
Greg and Lindsey were the greatest associates ever.
They were patient with me, and never gave up with a great attitude until they found me the right shoes.
We need more associates like this everywhere .

Truly a great atmosphere when I walk in this location! Can’t say enough good about Lindsay, she’s very personable, kind, and knowledgeable. She is part of the reason of my great experience at this store! Over the past 4 years she has sold me two pair of work boots and countless accessories to protect my feet and maintain the quality of my Redwings. Every time I walk in the store to have my boots attended to she’s always smiling and asks me about myself. Highly recommend her when shopping and caring for your boots!

I was recommended to Red Wing by my podiatrist. I went in for some nonslip shoes or boots for work. Upon entering, I noticed 3 employees attending to other customers. It was my first time at the store so I occupied myself by looking around until someone was free. I was in the store for about 5-10 minutes prior to anyone else entering. After this time, a male customer entered the store and stood at the front counter near me. Once Lindsey, one of the three employees, finalized her transaction with her customer she did not acknowledge me but instead approached the customer that entered after me. She began assisting him. Eventually, Lindsey passed the customer off to another, now free employee. Lindsey, now free again occupied herself with a tablet. At this point, I still have not been acknowledged, greeted or helped. I continue to wait, with resenting patience because now I have become annoyed. However, I am in desperate need of work shoes. After waiting about 15-20 minutes in total, another employee who is still busy helping another customer happens to walk to the back of the store toward Lindsey who has her head down still in the tablet. On her way to what I assume to be the stockroom, she so graciously whispers to Lindsey as if to alert her to my presence. I’m grateful to that employee but I didn’t get her name. Finally, Lindsey makes her way over to me and begins to assist me. I tell her what I need and she shows me a wall of shoes. I try to explain that I’m looking for something sturdy and supportive. I try to provide her back ground on why I’m there and she cuts me off and suggests we do a scan. We complete the scan and only 3 shoes appear on the tablet but none of them meet my needs. So Lindsey, offers to grab my size of shoe from their clearance section. I never asked for clearance or shoes that were on sale. But I still tried them on to get an idea of their shoes. The clearance shoes didn’t work for me so I requested one from the display wall. I ended up really liking my choice and purchased them. During the interaction Lindsey made a few comments like “you’re so kind” and “you have a beautiful smile” and “your mama raised you right.” The comments seemed as if she was trying to insinuate something and/or make up for not acknowledging me for almost 20 minutes. Ultimately, the experience was greatly disappointing. If I wasn’t in a pinch for shoes, I would have left. I may not look like the typical customer but I still deserve the same respect and courtesy. A simple, “welcome in, someone will be with you shortly” could have prevented this review.

The staff was helpful and the place was nice. Im sorry but I can't lie the boots are EXPENSIVE as all heck, hence the loss of star. Its just not affordable. If I didnt get a discount I wouldn't have gone here. My left foot toes STILL hurt in this boot. If youre paying out of pocket? Its avoidable... if you get a coupon? Go here...I hear the other locations are horrendous dous and a nightmare

More than just a boot store, an experience.
Greg was the one tending to my needs for new work boots. He was extremely patient while I tried different boots and explained the entire process of how their scanners work and what would work best with my feet.

Great experience buying my new work boots. I had Greg help me through the entire process. From sizing my foot to bringing me options of boots that fit my needs for my job. Ended up walking out with a great pair of boots that feel amazing. Thank you Greg for the great experience.
