Fall Creek Falls State Park is Tennessee's largest and most popular state park, covering over 26,000 acres of streams, waterfalls, cascades, gorges, and natural hardwoods. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking on day-use trails and longer 24/7 trails suitable for adventure seekers. The park features numerous campsites and cabins for rent, with many RV sites offering full services. Although some trails were closed due to storm cleanup, the open trails still provide plenty of hiking opportunities and stunning views, especially of waterfalls and fall foliage. The hike down to the main falls is less than a mile but can be strenuous, with slanted, step-like rocks. The park's amenities include shops, a snack bar, a pool, and other activities, making it a great place for relaxation and recreation. The lodge offers comfortable accommodations, with friendly staff and good dining options, although breakfast quality may vary. The park is very scenic, with overlooks and mountain strolls that provide breathtaking views. Visitors should note that some campground spots are not flat, and cell service is limited, especially for T-Mobile users. Overall, Fall Creek Falls State Park is a beautiful destination for outdoor adventures, nature lovers, and those seeking a peaceful escape in nature.
