I needed a simple volume pot replacement/wire pickups job on an Ibanez S and it was a nightmare. The guy I talked to said he was an Ibanez certified tech. Turns out, not true. They said it would take a week, and after more than two months I just went in and got my guitar back. Guitar and case were caked with dust and grime, nothing had been done. They claimed to have wired it but the switch was bad, wiring diagram was wrong, etc. But on inspection nothing was ever touched. Pickup wire ends were still factory fresh. Do not trust these people. False claims, dishonesty to cover for not knowing how to do what they said they would. Terrible customer service, and untrustworthy.

I am so happy and proud to be part of the Bluesman Vintage family! I've played my BV bass from coast to coast and it's been a real head-turner wherever I go. Not only does it look great, but when people come up to the bass player and say how much they dig the tone....that says it all. These instruments are made for players, hands down! These basses and guitars are precise in their construction, but are workhorses at the same time. The best part of owning a Bluesman Vintage Guitar is the after-care. If something falls outta whack (usually by my own hand), John and the BVG crew are right there to get it back to optimum condition. I feel super spoiled that I only live 4 miles from the shop, so I can go in anytime to check out the new, cool stuff that they're putting out. If you're a serious player and want an instrument that'll get it done without fail, you gotta check this place out! Thanks to the BVG crew for having my back!

Had found this shop by total accident during our trip to Nashville. Really glad I stopped in. The guys in the store were very kind and we had some great conversation. I got to try out a couple of their models, and if they would have had a color I really liked on the wall, I'm certain I'd have bought it because each guitar I played was awesome. I'll be keeping my eye out for the shop and brand.

We needed a great beginner guitar for our daughter and this is the place to go. Not only do they offer high end custom guitars for famous people, but they also offer great guitars for the unknown like us.

I took my guitar there to be refinished. When I arrived, I made the grave mistake of telling them that I was more interested in quality work than in getting it back soon. They then used that to their advantage. Because, over the next 3 months I inquired as to the progress of the refinish, initially only inquiring out of curiosity, telling them I was in no rush to get the guitar back.My 1st inquiry was around 3 weeks via email; no response. So I had to inquire by phone and text to the owner. He told me it was in line to be stripped. I told him okay no problem. Then my next inquiry was around 2 weeks later via email. No response, so I inquired by phone, and he told me the guitar was in the process of being stripped.I made a couple of inquiries as to the progress of the work by email; no response. So then I inquired around 8 weeks after bringing it in. At that point, he told me it was stripped and getting prepped for painting. I suspected this was not true, but I maintained composure, being polite and cooperative throughout the entire process. Then at the 8-week mark, I asked how long he thought it would be before the guitar was finished. He then told me it should be around 2 weeks, since there were other guitars ahead of mine (probably giving priority to famous musicians). So then I inquired 2 weeks later, and he told me to try back in 3 weeks and the guitar should be ready or almost ready since I had already turned down 2 gigs and one studio session. They were dismissive. At this point I knew he had been lying and placating me the entire time, but I paid him for the work, mistakenly thinking that paying him would give me leverage for him to complete the work since he already had my money; this made no difference at all.So fed up with all this runaround, by the 3-month mark, I told him I was coming to get the guitar, whether or not the work was completed. When I arrived to pick up the guitar, he had only stripped the paint, not doing a terribly good stripping job, and they had barely done any sanding??The only reason I'm giving this business 2 stars is because he did give me a full refund for the payment I made.Terrible customer service! I don't recommend this place at all.

Not a guitarist but I went in to grab some guitar string for some hobby use. Heidi (hope I'm spelling that correctly) was super nice and helpful, even went to the back to find some discarded strings and clippings for me so I wouldn't have to pay for the more expensive strings despite needing the larger sizes for my project. Also purchased a pack of acoustic strings to have for future projects. Really appreciated the friendly, helpful service despite me not being there for anything guitar related. Will definitely recommend to all my friends who play.

The owner was late by about 8 months on my guitar. I kept calling and would state that it was almost done. I almost had to take legal action because I though I had been scammed. He is too busy trying to appease "famous" artists to try and get their endorsment. The guitar was about 50% of what I asked for initally. He had the wrong pickups, wrong neck profile, the wrong color, and the guitar had many flaws that were not cosmetic. The tuners weren't straight, there was glue leftover on the neck, and the pickup switch had to be fixed.

I ordered a custom super bird bass and I’m so blown by the feel, tone and aesthetics. John nailed the paint so hard. Just the right amount of worn look I was after. Honestly the bass surpassed my expectations.I own two other Bluesman’s, both ‘62 Deville models and they are both top notch instruments. I even prefer them to my OG ‘73 P-bass. Mega kudos to the Bluesman crew ?? Simply cannot be beat IMO.

I own an ElDorado 5 string. Out of the 100 or so basses I’ve owned over the last 20 years, this one is my all time favorite. First of all, it sounds amazing. It has that great passive P/J sound but sounds beefy enough that you might even think it’s active. Super resonant and amazing sustain. Warm as can be, but also has great clarity. It’s lightweight especially for a 5 string and balances great playing sitting down or standing with a strap. The feel is what truly sets this b

Bass is exactly as I had hoped. Plays so smoothly and evenly across the neck. After playing this bass I'm realizing there's a good chance I've been playing duds for the last 30 years. Either way the bass has ruined all other basses for me. A few highlights- I play matte necks but the aging on the neck is so much smoother.- It just sounds great.- It's light. soooo light. with no chamberingHighly recommend

Custom Pickups. Amazing.I’m not really sure what to say other than that they are the best sounding strat pickups I’ve ever heard. I don’t really know how to describe it except that they’re perfect.I know that’s not extremely helpful and I don’t really have anything about them to share how to improve.I can tell you a couple things, though:My favorite way to set up the pickups is to use what I think most people call “position 4” (the neck and middle position) with just a little bit of bridge rolled in and just a little bit of tone rolled off. For me, this is the perfect Strat tone. The neck sounds great as usual, but the thing that surprised me the most is how really truly great the bridge sounds. I’ve never really found myself playing the bridge on a strat but I love this bridge pickup and I’m constantly flipping to it to pick up some extra bite or just for something different. Thanks so much for taking the time to make these pickups and set up the guitar. I think you nailed it and would recommend these pickups to anyone.
