Been using them for 20yrs. Very hard to get a hold of anyone these days. Last year placed the order on-line and it went ok. This year on-line order went through, had a call back to verify, then 20 days later still no gas. Two voicemails unanswered, finally got someone to answer the phone to tell me the order wasn't put in completely, and that hopefully someone will be out in the next week.

Called at 8% a week later still no gas.I have been buying gas from this company since 1996 they do not care about the customer at all.Do business with a company that cares about their customers.

Was with Cumberland Propane for 20 years, I called last week and explained I my father passed away and was not at home for 3 weeks and came home with less than 5% and needed propane this week, they said it was 7-15 days out and they could expedite it for $200 extra. I have never had a problem before, they would always come within a day or so. So I called Advanced Propane in Hartsville and they gladly helped me out within 24hrs. Will never use Cumberland Propane again.

I have had service with Cumberland River Propane (UPG) for seven years now with my own tank. Overall I've been pleased and would definitely recommend to others.They do need to work on communication -- they aren't good about callbacks and can't commit to an arrival date/time. They ask for you to call for fill at 35%, if I recall correctly - that gives them plenty of time to arrange for delivery, accounting for communication time and the busy season in winter. I have never run out, in spite of accidentally getting down to 9%(!) before calling this spring.They also need to work on the accounting system. I've never lost anything with them - they have always been fair and worked to clarify questions, but maintaining different accounts for different years of pre-buy vs a non-pre-buy account is confusing all around and has caused me to receive bills in error. Calling them got this cleared right up.I like that they offer a pre-buy to customers in the late spring/early summer. This allows you to save up the previous year and then buy for your next year at the lower summer prices. They also have some of the best prices around!Lastly, I have had the same driver for all these years. I enjoy that consistency, and hopefully that also means they are taking care of their employees.

We have been using them since we bought our house about a year and a half ago, and I really need to brag on them. Their prices are far and away the best in the area, their office staff are very friendly and have great follow up, and their focus on customer care is laudable. We ran out of propane this past Monday morning due to an oversight by me, and I called when they opened and they were about to get us filled up (at a GREAT rate and with no emergency fill charges etc) by mid afternoon same day.I strongly recommend you give them a call for all your home propane needs.

I love these people! We have been with them for about 10 years . You want to deal with idiots, call AmeriGas. We have never had any issues with the Springfield office. The ladies are always pleasant and they deliver when they say. 5 stars from us!

Had 500 gallon tank filled in October and haven't been running it hard as we have a supplemental wood furnace.Came home yesterday to a 40° house and found the tank FULLY empty with the fill cap not covered and full of ice. (Can't say 100% that caused tank to leak, but haven't run out of propane in three years. Awfully coincidental.)Called last night and couldn't even get through.Called this morning and left a message.Still nothing.Ridiculous. ?

Terrible customer service. Never able to get intouch with anyone. I have left several messages and no response. They told me that if I make a payment every month there would be no problem. I took 2 months before they finally got their records straight and stopped sending me letters saying that I hadn't paid my balance and they were sending me to collections. As soon as I'm done paying them I'm done with them!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. Nothing but trouble every winter with this company. Can't get them to come fill my tank days after placing an order at 20%, can't get a hold of a human local or corporate. About to run out of gas, this has happened several times before. I will be switching companies asap.
