Obviously, I like Kroger. Get most of my families groceries there. I will never be happy with a self checkout. I do also understand that everywhere is short staffed these days.

I shop here literally every other day, I’m a mom of 2, I buy my weekly groceries use self check out mind my business. Last week I bought bread that had mold so I thought no problem I’ll run in and exchange it with my other return I had (mind you I’ve never had any other previous returns) I ask if I can exchange and if she could look up my order through my debit card and CLARA said the “lady” that does that is not there today. And that I absolutely could not exchange the moldy bread I had just bought the other day. It was a lot worse then that though this is just in a nut shell. I walked out then called and ask to speak to the manager I told him what happened and he said that was wrong and to come in and we can exchange it. Like what was the reason for that?? I’m not a bad person and I was with my mother that day who is 65 and she got treated just the same and she also had her receipt. I just don’t get it, Kroger this is how you want your “head cashiers” to treat people? Give some nobody a title like “head cashier” and they think they can treat people however they want. I shop here every day and all I wanted was an exchange for MOLDY BREAD and she treated us like dirt man. Sucks that I spend my hard earned money here every day and when I have a problem and needed it to be fixed we got treated that way. Not exceptable man. Im complaining about Clara to head quarters. She shouldn’t have any position of “head” anything

Went on Saturday afternoon this was not smart,alot of the sale item where gone.and some people need to look were there going.i got ran in to 2 or 3 time.

Today 05/02/2024 a manager name Matt, a cashier named Teaven and a cashier names Clara lied to me about laws here in the US and TN. First the cashiers attempted to forcefully ID me over a lighter. I refused to be illegally IDed due to there's no law that requires me to show a ID for a lighter anywhere. The manager Matt and employee Clara both continued to lie to me about state law and they both stated that it is TN law to show a ID for a lighter and that's why I had to show it.
I called corporate and told them.about tye situation and they confirmed that the manager and employees are in the wrong and that it is illegal to ID me over a lighter and I have a case started. The worst part of this whole situation is that I get my medication at this Kroger and now I am about to have to switch that to another store due to Matt the manager has had me removed and trespassed from the property. I feel it would only be right to Matt retrained on how to interact with customers or be fired. He is extremely arrogant and firing may be the only solution to help Kroger progress more. He may be the reason a tornado hit the store due to how rude he is. I plan to follow through with my complaint and see where it goes if this problem is not rectified I will presume further action against Kroger and their leadership and Matt in a court of law because I didn't deserve to be harassed like that or treated Less than a human for refusing Kroger's and Matt's illegal actions against me.

I'm so grateful for having a Kroger close to where I live! They have the best produce, without having to go to a farm or farmers market. And since their renovations and now selling literally everything, I don't have to find what I need at other stores in Nashville!

Rudest employees I have ever dealt with. Teach your front end to have some kind of customer service skills. This would have easily been a five star review due to store standards, but customer service will always trump store conditions. Will not be back.

Clean and organized store. Love that there is a Starbucks that I can order from my app. There's not a tipping option for some reason. But wonderful selection of bread and cheese. Good grocery store. Have a really good variety of most items.
