We are senior citizens and have tried their curbside pickup 3x. Every time we have waited 15+ minutes this store is awful and I wish we had an alternative but some items are only available here.

I went to Lowe's tonight around 7:30pm. I walked in and an associated immediately asked if I needed help. I said yes, I need shelves he told me aisle 34 and directed me where to go. I picked out one 97in. x 11.75 White Painted shelf board and one 72 in. x 11.75 white painted shelf board. I then asked an associated to cut the shelves. He walked me to the area to get it cut. He couldn't find anyone, so he asked the cashier Chania and she called for an associate on the P.A. system. I waited and waited. Chania called three separate times for an associate, and no one came. After 30 minutes I saw an associate coming in from getting the lumber carts from outside, so I stopped him and asked if he was the associate that cuts wood? He said yes what do you need. I explained I need the shelves cut before I could explain how I needed it cut he immediately cut me off and said no we don't cut particle boards. I asked him since when. I explained to him I've had several shelves cut here and I understand that the shelf is made of particle board, and it may chip. I said well, if you don't cut particle board do you have solid wood shelves that you will cut? He was dismissive, then explained that Lowes only cuts wood for transportation purposes. So, customers can transport it not for projects. Again, I asked since when, is this a new policy? I explained to him that Lowes has cut several DIY projects for me. He became upset and then said, "well I'm not cutting it!" Then he proceeds to walk out the door while I was talking to him. I asked him what his name was, and he refused to tell me and walked out the door toward the parking lot. I was completely shocked! I then turned around and ask Chania what his name was because he refused to give it to me. She told me his name was Franko. He was a short middle-aged man with salt and pepper hair color with an army fatigue Lowe's vest on. I left my basket full of supplies in the aisle and walked to my car. I drove out of the parking lot and called Lowe's and asked to speak to the manager Cortez. Cortez couldn't come to the phone, so I left a message with my name and number. Then I realized I left my shelf I bought from home in the cart, so I turned around to go back to Lowes to get my shelf. This was around 8:40pm. Since I was at Lowe's, I went to customer service and asked to speak to Cortez. It took him a few minutes to come to the front. I explained to him what happened, and he was apologetic and asked if he could help me with my shelving. I explained to him that with Franko's horrible attitude and poor customer service that I wouldn't be spending my hard-earned money with Lowes. I don't think Franko would have been this rude, disrespectful, or dismissive if my husband was with me or if I was a man. This really surprised me because I've been going to this Lowe's for years and I've never experienced this type of behavior.

Poor customer service. Paged several times for assistance but no help. After about 30 minutes I left. Went to Walker Hardware and got my part in five minutes.

Seriously, go to a different Lowe's or just plan to go to Home Depot. The Springfield location has deficiencies. I had a bad experience with a custom blind order (on 3rd attempt to get it right) and my husband could not get a pallet of fencing loaded by forklift even though the Madison location performs this service. Skip this location.

Our old range broke so we went to Lowes to purchase a new one with the promise it would be delivered before Thanksgiving. Was told they had 10 in stock at their warehouse. Delivery was scheduled for November 21. Monday comes and they tried delivering to the wrong address so we had to reschedule. When I called to reschedule they said earliest they could come out was Friday (AFTER Thanksgiving). That was a lie because our automated call said delivery was scheduled for Saturday 4p-8p. Well they never showed up and our Thanksgiving food is now wasted. They don’t even seem to care.

Lowes is my store. They are helpful and friendly. The military discount and the way they honor veterans is a game changer. To bad yelp is nothing but a way for people to vent.

This Lowe's is absolutely craptastic! Went in to get 4 gallons of paint for my daughters rooms and stood at the paint counter for over 10 minutes all the while the 2 employees behind the counter looked at us but said not one word. Ended up 15 miles away at Home Depot buying the paint I should have gotten locally in Springfield. Not the first bad experience I've had at this Lowe's. But most certainly the straw that broke the camels back and it will be my last. Do yourself a favor and don't frequent this Lowe's unless there's a zombie apocalypse and only then can you loot the place as the employees here are among the crappiest of the crappy!

I bought 70ft of Schedule 40 1 1/4" pvc pipe from Lowes, only needed to use 40 of it due to the project changing. Took it to the store to return it, they say its not there's because it doesn't show up in the 1980's DOS based computer system they use. So I said I bought it here because I always do (did)....where else would I get it Walmart? I bought it months ago when there was a shortage of plumbing and electrical supplies, did y'all change suppliers temporarily due to the shortage, shocker the clerk has no idea and the computer system has no way of looking that up. Awesome, keep losing customers and getting rid of sales associates with knowledge and you will be the next Sears & Roebuck.

If I could leave zero stars I 100% would but unfortunately they don't let you. The people who work here seem to be incompetent in regards to anything except pointing you in the direction of a tool. The flooring department is an absolute joke. We purchased flooring for our new home and from day one on it was an absolute nightmare. It took over two months for them to get the job done and it's still not done well. At this point I just gave up. Going into the store and dealing with customer service is just as big of a nightmare as they don't seem to have any sense of urgency or regards to customer service. I will literally drive past 100 Lowe's to go somewhere else after this experience. God awful.

I would not recommend using Lowe's for fencing installation. I hired them last year for a small area of privacy fencing for my dog run. They did a good job and came out right away to address our one issue. So when we needed our entire property closed in with privacy fencing, I did not hesitate to call them. Big mistake!! I paid nearly $10,000 and can't even get the install coordinator to call me back, and the salesman who so quickly took my money and got himself a chunky commission, keeps telling me it's not his issue to address. They hired a third party contractor who showed up and had no idea what the plans were. They installed the access gate with it opening in instead of out, not wide enough to fit our lawn mower through as requested, and put the side posts flat in front of our down spout. They also left a huge gap between the posts of the access gate. So much for privacy! The third party contractor left with a ton of excess materials and refused to leave any so that I could finish off one section of fencing they refused to install because they didn't have a tool to drill into the concrete across my driveway. Do NOT trust Lowe's to send someone reliable to your home. I'm out thousands of dollars and my yard is still not secure ... and no one will even return a call to ensure customer satisfaction. So disappointing.

I was highly disappointed with this Lowes store. Went in to find a wing nut for a lamp. Went to the lighting section and the employee told me that they didn't have any. Went back to the hardware section to figure out the thread size I needed. The thread gauge that is hanging is missing several pieces which virtually make this thing unusable. I was thankful that after an hour, I found what I was looking for. This store is in disarray and I wont shot there any more.

Me and my mom did a full house renovation over the past year spending 10-20k. We had a excellent experience every time we went there (about 3-7 times a month). Employees were nice. Selection was stocked and full. But the best part was their employee Bryan.
Bryan wasis always welcoming and informative on any subject we brought up to him. He greeted us with a smile and remembered our faces. People like him really push it from just shopping for goods to having a good experience and looking forward to a friendly interaction.

This is my 3rd and LAST delivery with Lowe's, the first one all the wood I ordered was mostly damaged and barely usable. The second delivery was flooring, they said it would be delivered in like a week, so I decided to pick up the order instead of having it delivered. Well they charged me for the online order then when I picked up the order they somehow recharged my card. Leaving 2 pending charges of $4,500 on my card, one of them cleared but the other stayed pending on my account for 3 weeks. They claimed there was nothing they could do, I called everyday for three weeks and same run around. Until I threatened them with the news. Turns out they never canceled "the delivery order" and the pick up order cleared. The third one, was another order of a different type of wood so I said they can't mess this up. Well I get an email saying 9am-9pm for the time frame. I called at 11:45am to ask if they knew where the driver was. She said it's loaded and on the flat bed! It'll be there today .. still have not received my order or a phone call. I check the online order and it still shows ready for delivery. They really need to get their crap together!
